  1. Got a similar one this morning. Fingers crossed it works.
  2. There ya go. Learn something new every day.
  3. I don't know. I've always found the factory Nissan stuff to be pretty good. Intake side is good from the factory and the exhaust side is great.
  4. Where can I get a bottom radiator mount on short notice (today)? I lost one while the radiator was out Located in Wollongong and want to get this s*$tcrate going today.
  5. Swapped my old e-Boost2 for a new one yesterday. Thanks Turbosmart! The new version has sexy new features (that I won't be using) but the design is much better than my old one. The vacuum line isn't fixed into the back of the head unit and the electrical plugs are flush mounted to the backing instead of sticking out. There's also no more silver bolt poking through the back.
  6. Duncan, is my understanding correct that for CAMS purposes, "available for sale from a roadside retail bowser outlet" just means that the outlet has to be able to offer it for sale? I.e. that it doesn't have to be in a bowser?
  7. Let's see, it's the Nissan loom with different injector clips on it...
  8. This is how a bunch of people suggested I mount the injectors: First problem is having spacers machined up was a pain in the arse, second was how far out the injector sat from the hole in the runner and third was having the injector seal and seat properly. I grabbed a set of pre-fab bushes that use an o-ring around the outside to seat in the standard intake but even the biggest 14mm o-ring was too small to seal in them. This meant I had to drill out the standard runners to suit the larger body of the new injectors. It has a slight taper on it now and because the injector sits further down in the runner, it now also uses the factory rubber bush from the side feeds for some extra support/sealing. This is what it looks like now. While the intake was off, I removed the barbed water fitting at the back (I hate push-on with a passion) and welded on a -6AN fitting for the water feed to the turbo. You can see it at the very back of this photo next to the back of the left rocker cover. Also mounted the thermo fans correctly and modified the fuel filler door signage... lol. Tuning it this Thursday.
  9. Here's a close-up. They're very good things.
  10. Even if you do rod the block you can fix it. That's another big advantage.
  11. Got your cams in yet, GT?
  12. Let us know what happens at the Nats mate.
  13. Relays and fuses for the fuel pumps good to go. New Bosch injector clips done too. Just have to change o-rings now. Getting itchy for skids.
  14. I came here to post this.
  15. 105AUD < 160USD Otherwise they would've been a consideration.
  16. People go too soft on suspension in IRS cars to their own detriment.
  17. Don't change your suspension, change your tyres.
  18. Have a look at what all the Pro Turbo cars start and idle on. They have an 044 in line for this purpose.
  19. Stu is full of good ideas.
  20. Oil pressure block.
  21. Have to plate up the IAC on the plenum as it won't clear the rail. Also have to plug up the feed to it from the pipe pre-throttle body.
  22. 044's are fine with straight Methanol
  23. Yep
  24. Don't be cheeky to the apprentice. Lesson learned.
