  1. Sorry man, just noticed your question. Fred from Protrans took care of everything. He's the best and is doing the TH400 for this car.
  2. Nope. The previous version of this head just made 1600rwhp though so i'm sure it'll work.
  3. Engine in. Will be on display on the Ross Performance stand at WTAC and then at Turbosmart on Sunday morning for breakfast.
  4. What size is it mate? 1.5 gallon? 2?
  5. Been tinkering in the shed getting car ready for display at WTAC.
  6. Ross balancer, triggers, oil pump, block-offs, brackets, drives, pulleys and more arrived today to go with the Ross billet sump pan from earlier. It all looks amazing. Can't wait to bolt it up.
  7. That's precisely why I'm not resetting the date. This is a once in a lifetime build and it will take as long as it takes.
  8. It's a Precision Gen-2 8891. Rated around about 1600hp. I'm looking for about 1200-1250 from it. If it makes anything like 1000kW I'll be rapt.
  9. Yep. The primaries will do everything until we need the big boys. Don't think that'll take long.
  10. Haha. Yes. Otherwise it'd be about 400hp worth on methanol.
  11. Going to need more injector than what I first thought so I've got six Precision 225s and six more Precision 550s coming for it. They hurt the back pocket but they're worth it and a proven combination with methanol.
  12. ATI Rear engine plate, crank adaptor and flex plate.
  13. I'm not building a race car with big heavy steel rims.
  14. I'll undoubtedly end up with Welds or similar on this car. Be nice to know how far I have to move/change things first though. These are big tyres.
  15. Haven't crossed that bridge yet. Do you have any thoughts?
  16. Then this happened. Not bad for a weekend tidy up.
  17. Some more progress.
  18. Took the car to a buddy's house (Astill Design) last night to begin work on cleaning up the engine bay. Between the Nissan factory and the previous owners they sure knew how to put holes everywhere. One rust repair in the left side front wheel tub and a heap of filling with the MIG was first before we started plugging larger holes with bits of steel and the TIG. Will be back at it this afternoon finishing the firewall and patching up the right side and both rails. Also noticed this thing has JIC arms in the front. Not sure what good they'll do me but they're there.

    Mph Vs Power

I'll drive it if you like. ;-)
  20. Anyone can bore a liner, not everyone can relplate a bore. It's a question of practicality.
  21. Clearly these are for cars that weigh in the 1100kg range, not for street cars. It's gorgeous and it will work but I've genuinely no idea why they machined it with water galleries. Bullet Cylinder Heads aren't the same company as the Bullet you're thinking of. Also thats a standard RB26 alloy head casting being CNC ported, not a billet head. It's how they did mine.
  22. No point until it has enough injector. Then you'll see the whole thing. Ethanol and a torque converter fill the hole that might otherwise be there with a petrol/manual.
