  1. He Terry, I am sure I have the same problem as what your talking about. I just back the car into the garage so I still get a bit of a scrape. Although its not desireable its not to bad. I put down a piece of carpet whilst getting in and out of garage so it drags accross that surface and not the concrete (most of the time). Short of putting down steel ramps I don't think I could solve my problem. I thought of the speed humps (I remember you could buy pieces) but I didn't think this would work. Put up Pics. And what is the new car??
  2. Do you have the black plastic surround for the centre triple guage cluster. I am leterally after the black piece with the three holes cut out for the guages. If so is there any damage on it and how much posted to sydney? Thanks.
  3. Just add the cost to the EU bail out package that Germany is funding!
  4. I wouldn't trade this. You will always be able to buy an s13, ceffy at a cheap price, but your car is not so easy to come by. Everyone gets tired of cars and wants a change but I seriously think you'll regret it.
  5. Why would you buy a powerchip after reading autospeeds article. Theor R & D is done on a shoe tring if any. Julian Edgar's questions are not hard to follow but this guy is struggling. As for him getting involved with the performance forum issue............why did he bother??? He should be testing his chips
  6. Oh pictures are going up. Well here is mine. I gave her an oil change and a polish last week and took some quick snaps when it was on stands.
  7. Do you have the fascia plate that goes around the triple guage cluster in the centre. I am just after the flat black piece with the three big circles cut out. Please PM me if so.
  8. Does anyone have the flat black plastic piece/cover with the three holes that sits over of the triple gauge cluster surround for an R32 GTR? Must have no scratches or cracks. If so please call me on 0411 415 644.
  9. I think he means though you can get -7, -5 with actuators for the same price as -9's without actuators. I don't understand why either but theres nothing you can do about it other than spring the $300 on actuators.
  10. Well I have just been able to exchange my -5's for a pair of -9's. Can someone confirm the part number is correct - 707160-5009S? I remember my -5's just read 707160-5. I am assuming Garrett has chnaged the numbering system along the way.
  11. I dunno what the parts cost as it was over a decade ago but I remember the final bill being around 4k. I had only had he car for a few months and didn't want to have to make an insurance claim so I paid for it. Otherwise they would have probably doubled my premium or torn up my policy at 20 yo. GTST's aren't that expensive these days so look around and maybe by a cheap one. Then keep yours for spares.
  12. You would be better off trying to find a rear cradle with control arms etc from a jap wrecker like just cap in sydney or something. I had the same type of accident in the same car about 10-11 years ago. The guys that fixed it just ended up buying the rear end (cradle). Then you just need to make sure it is all straight and chassis isn't twisted. In my instance the front chassis arms were quite bent. Also instead of trying to find and buy one 19" wheel, which will cost at least $250- $400 maybe try find standard gtst or even gtr wheels on the forum. Usually they come with tyres and will at least get you going again. Anyway good luck. You might even better just parking till you can fix it and look into public transpoprt.
  13. Sounds like your getting some pretty decent results. Like someone above said good on you for trying a different method.
  14. GCG do the -5'sfor $1300 each with actuators.
  15. Just out of curiosity what have you found wrong with your current shell?
  16. Yeah the 5 years is a bit rough. Thats why I couldn't go with them until the last years or two. Must say though they are being pretty rough with you. No claims in your time with them?
  17. Looks like a really nice car Bob. I was wanting to go to the auction just to see it but then realised on Tuesday I had missed it. Anyway well done! Ken I too will flick you a PM with the VIN if you could let us know the build number that would be great!
  18. I just took up cover with them last month; $576 per annum lay up cover until car is registered then $1300 once car is registered (they say quote valid until September 2011) Insured value $30K for ADM 32GTR. Its pretty unreasonable what they are quoting you Marko given over 30 etc??
  19. Looks like the burgundy one was sold at Shannons auctions last night for $53,000.
  20. Did you end up using those steel wheel turbos off ebay? They seemed pretty decent for the money!
  21. I thought ecu would tell the car to shut down if fuel was not returning? I ended up going through the inspection plate in the boot, which wasn't to bad.
  22. Maybe a stupid question but I want to drain old fuel from my car. I have tried a couple of different syphon hoses / pump things and they seem to get stuck or hit a snag so don't get into the actual tank. The service manual says there is no drain plug on the tank so do I go through the fuel pump inspection plate in the boot? Any ideas?

  24. Good stuff, I'll add too it tonight!
  25. Another supplier just confirmed they won't ship given its a pressurised vessel. It makes sense I just didn't realise it earlier. I thought it would just be handy to the plumbing into the engine bay for the price they were offering the kit at. Its just an old street car that will see occassional track days. Given the price it would cost to do this in aus it just isn't worthwhile for my car's useage. Strange as it is a great cheap idea that lots of people are using O/S. That setup you have Neil looks great and similar to the those UK and US kits just in 4litre size. Unbelievable about the price difference though.
