  1. An RB won't fit without moving the firewall or relocating the radiator. The CA/SR/FJ route has been done a lot, and for good reason. It works. If it's a toy I'd look at decompressing an L20 and hanging a T3 sucking through a Weber off the side. 130kW, heaps of fun, relativelly cheap. Check out Ozdat and Datnet websites for more info.
  2. Port matching and ported are two different things. I'd be amazed if port matching resulted in a loss of performance but as has been said, I'd be surprised if got got a measurable increase in performance at the power levels the OP is chasing. It seems to me that standard RB manifolds are quite capable of running pretty solid numbers without any attention from the die grinder.
  3. Lol @ $370 rattle can spray job. The IS the one which sold for $130, no "maybe, maybe not". I was looking at buying this off you as I need a front bar after a minor ding, but I think I'll pass. "Goodluck" with the sale.
  4. Could you twist it far enough to ping on 98 when only running 10PSI? And if that is the case, then that was a fairly significant omission from the post decreeing all fuel with a RON lower than 100 as rubbish. Altho I try to avoid it, I run my 33 on 95 at times and it's running ~11PSI. I have no issues what-so-ever. BTW, my 2c on 95 RON. People generally fall into 2 groups; people who are happy to pay more for higher RON fuel and therefore use 98 and people who don't and use 91. I'd say only a very small number of motorists fall between the two. What this means is the fuel in the 95 tanks may tend to be much, much older than that in the 91 or 98 tanks. Old fuel sucks. That's my 2c on 95.
  5. Wasn't it throttle in, Apex seals out?
  6. If this is accurate then your car is rooted. Unless you have rebuilt your engine and are now running 12:1 static comp ratio, your car should not ping when running 98 on 10psi.
  7. I think you'll find it's way more effort and expense than it's worth. And at the end of the day, it doesn't sound like you were actually dodged out of much, if anything. And I agree with your comment re: Karma. there's no bad Karma to be had from getting a dodgy to clear a defect. BTW, feel free to PM me a contact for someone who might be inclined to over look certain RWC issues. I need to get one but CBFed sourcing a stock airbox....
  8. I've been in a number of situations in court and have always come out better than I went in. Keep your cool, refuse to answer possibly incriminating questions (your right) and state the facts in respect to the hole in the prosecutions case and let the Magistrate do the rest. Believe it or not, most magistrates are reasonable people and unless you have a history of being a tard or are disrespectful they will apply the law accordingly. And they know the law inside out (it is their job...duuur). In this case I don't think it would have been hard to demonstrate too much doubt to see the police's case stick. And as I said, the government has been sticking it to drivers for too long. When the law no longer reflects the will of the people, it is the obligation of every good standing citizen to break the law. This extends to defending one's self against obscene penalties for a victimless crime.
  9. What's the date on the Roady?
  10. A minor oil leak is not a road worthy issue. And as long as the brakes operate to the criteria set out in legislation and they have nothing more than a very minor shudder, then they too are ok. Many mechanics would not pass either, as fixing the problems means $$$ for them, but by the sound of it the RWC wasn't dodgy. If it was, can you tell me the name of the mechanic? I need someone to give me a relaxed RWC
  11. I can appreciate you wanting to do the right thing and arguably the "moral" thing, but the government is f**king drivers blind so really you should have fought this. I'll be surprised if you get anywhere. I hope for your sake you do but I think you made an error trying to fight a bushfire with a super soaker.
  12. Good news travels fast, it seems. I give her 4/10. Her oral skills were much more finely honed.
  13. Holy crap, that thing is a dog! You guys who reckon it's hot need your head read! It looks like a Chrysler. Funny, cause the Chrysler uses an old Merc platform. Merc has done a double dutch....
  14. Lol...well said Good luck with the sale Free bump
  15. Bugger. Get an idea of size and I reckon you'll easily be able to source some boots from another make which will fit. After all, they don't really vary a great deal from make too make. Just a little longer or shorter and a little bigger or smaller. Close would be good enough I reckon. Either that or take em off. I don't think boots are an absolute requirement, are they? I've owned plenty or cars which did not have boot around the strut.
  16. I don't think it was ever a case of needing to lie (altho I did suggest such a thing). Had you have stood up, held up the photo and asked them to prove it was you who was speeding, they wouldn't have been able to and the case would likely be turfed out. Simply requiring them to do their constitutional duty, and prove without doubt it was you who was speeding, would probably have seen you get off. And get off you should have because the law makes an ass of it's self every day that someone like you is pinged for such a harmless thing and every day it hands out such an unreasonable penalty. People get less for near murdering someone. It's wrong which is why I'm such an advocate for fighting it. Oh yeah, good luck with it!
  17. Mate, they are words on an internet forum. I got a hand job from the Queen. I got a hand job from the Queen. I got a hand job from the Queen. I got a hand job from the Queen. I got a hand job from the Queen. I got a hand job from the Queen. I got a hand job from the Queen. I got a hand job from the Queen. Doesn't matter how many times I say it, New Idea isn't going to try and track me down and buy my story and no matter how many times I type it, it doesn't make it true. Words typed on a screen are meaningless. There are billions of threads in millions of forums all over the internet. The likihood of someone important finding this one are slim to none.
  18. Mobile cameras only take one as far as I am aware. Hoping someone here can clarify as there seems to be a few people with more in depth knowledge about their workings.
  19. Why don't you go grab yourself some spring compressors and some new boots and fix em properly? I imagine it's a pretty simple job. getting the struts out can't bo too hard and then its simply a matter of compressing the springs and getting the strut tops off (can be a little tricky - take em to a mechanic if you can't get the nut off). If you have the ability to change the shocks over then I predict you have the ability to change the boots. It probably wouldn't cost you $50, you don't have to rely on anyone else, and you won't have to worry about it ever again!
  20. I think you're insane for copping this. You should be going in there and claiming the evidence is defunct due to the cameras inability to determine who in the pic was speeding. Sure, it looks like you, as you are on the outside, but for all the camera operator can prove, you saw the guy barreling along behind you and looking like he was about to slam into you from behind so you got the hell out of his way. At the end of the day they have to PROVE beyond all reasonable doubt that that didn't happen. Sure they can do the "pfffft" thing all they like, but without evidence to the contrary, they have got nothing to go on. There are so many holes in their argument that you are made for pleading guilty. You should have got representation and gone in there daring them to prove it was you who was speeding.
  21. There are too many underpopulated ones to start a new one. Thaurissian Horde here. Been playing since 1.2.
  22. If he was in the intersection first, then he's in the right. If you were trying to get up the inside of him, then he was in the right. I'm going to predict, that as you didn't actually hit him, the first point is probably close to the mark. I mean, if he pulled out in front of you even though you had entered the roundabout first you would have A) Got around him or B) run into his front right corner.
  23. Why do i get the feeling that's a loaded question? Not getting ready to pontificate by any chance are you, R31?
  24. Not smart, but I reckon he's doing about 15kph.
  25. I'd be interested to hear if someone offers such a service. Also, any kind hole in a muffler will be a fail. Whether it gets picked up or not is another question. Worst case get some muffler putty and wipe it over the crack. That's all that's required to rectify legally.
