  1. No other insurance with Elders. I was recommended them by another guy who owns an R34 GT-T, (more specifically, my dad was).
  2. Hey mate, i suggest Elder's car Insurance. They will only insure people over 25, but as long as the main driver is over that age you can nominate drivers under 25. Dont have a number on me but just dig around. They're the ones who also have the real estate business and stuff as well. My insurance is with them under my dads name (60% NCB) and i'm on the policy as well (well under 25) The cars a turbo '96 R33 and its only $1440 full comp good luck!
  3. I saw something in the paper where some 'undercover reporters' went to that fireworks store out at Fyshwick and purchased fireworks illegally out of the back of some guys car. I'm not condoning this behaviour, but i'm sure if you call the right people something could be 'arranged.'
  4. you can also get 'cracks' for most set top DVD boxes...search around on the net for your model... i can't vouch for how well these work however.
  5. To be truthful, when it's dark at night i use them. The reason for that though isn't because it looks 'cool' but it gives you better vision either side of your car. my area is FULL of kangaroos, and it just makes spotting them a bit easier. Still, i don't always use them, only if it's really dark and i know there are kangas in the area, otherwise i just turn them off.
  6. Mine sits in the garage and it gets heaps of scratches or maybe i just keep noticing ones that were already there...
  7. Good on him, and glad to hear you're having some luck Andrew... these forums are a great way to drum up business for them tho, even if they didn't know you were gonna post your experience with them here.
  8. I feel sorry for the REAL owner of that car... i'd be pissed if pics of my car was involved in a scam like that.
  9. I'm not too sure on this, but the 40th Special Edition has some extra badging on it, and i think the seats also have an extra 40th SE trimming on them. As for the difference between a 98 as opposed to earlier models... run a search for differences between series I and series II skylines, as there were a few minor performance and styling differences.
  10. I wouldn't call the R33 a mistake just because it's different to the R32. Although i am the proud owner of a 33 GTS-t so expect me to be a little biased Every car is flawed in some way, and as for the interior, i like it. It's functional and it doesn't look to cheap either.
  11. You've had no luck recently mate. I'm sorry to hear that as i'm yet to see your car 'in the metal' so to speak. Good luck with getting her fixed!
  12. Don't mind the AbFlug kit, it's grown on me. But does anyone else think that the wing on that yellow skyline up there looks ridiculous?
  13. Yea, i've seen the yellow striped R33. Sorry mate but i'm not too keen on the stripes.
  14. Wasn't me, mines been in the garage all day.
  15. Spotted a white R32 in Queenbeyan, the driver was watching the car as he went past, i waved but dont think he really cared. was probably getting over the shock of seeing my mum behind the wheel... Also spotted a yellow R33 series I with stripes up the middle. No offence to the driver but i'm really not a fan of the stripes...
  16. Yep, the tuggers auto electrician near the Wollies servo are excellent. I posted something about them a couple of weeks back.
  17. I wouldn't say the Maxima looks like the 350Z, however it does look a bit like the new Skyline from the front... nothing a Top Secret body kit won't fix... mmm... smooth
  18. Yeah, i'm in Canberra too. Never had any problems, most of the police cars that go past will glance at the car as they go past but haven't been pulled over yet.
  19. Get insurance quotes for both, if you are planning full comp as you may be in for a bit of a shock. That said, either one is great but i'd be inclined to say the Skyline...
  20. lol, agree with both of you. Rear bar will probably be a future mod along with bigger wheels (18's...?)
  21. Nothing to serious, my mate in his old magna reversed into the back of a Ford Fairlane. Minimal damage done. Still, the guy had parked it pretty far off the gutter, and was practically waiting for us at the door like he had expected someone to hit it. Another one of my mates killed his car the other day, unlicenced driver, unregistered car and a 'watch this bro' moment. Tried to spin the wheels on his auto falcon but insteal broke the gearbox. massive clunk and that was the end of that.
  22. Wasn't me, my car stayed in the garage today.
  23. Spotted an R32 going past Lanyon High, the words SKYLINE on the back were lit up red. Nice car. Anyone here?
  24. thanks 51jay but i meant from a safety point of view. sounds like no biggy. Still, couldn't get the seats out so thought screw it and gave up. Will do it later when i have an urgent need to. I only really wanted to get at the base of the back windscreen cause the guy who removed the tint did a crappy job and left glue all over the window.
  25. Go for it mate, but one question, since when was an R32 a 'sleeper'? you said you want to go for the sleeper look but i don't think you ever could with a GTR
