  1. I need any body kit parts (F Bar / R Bar / sideskirts / wing / etc) for an R33 GTSt... Prefer Silver in colour. Stock or aftermarket. PM me if your interested in selling. Thanks, Nick
  2. Graphic Designer... I work for small studio called Simm Design in St Kilda... and can watch Adzmax pimpin his hoes on Grey st from my desk... whilst bludging on SAU! ...oh and occasionally I design stuff...
  3. how wide are the tyres on the rims... sounds like a good deal but 7" maybe too thin for my application...
  4. yeah had a quick look... but at work so have to wait till I get home to have big read... thanks for your help anyway:)
  5. cheers... maybe I will see about coilovers in the mean time... anyone had any experience with the whiteline coilovers? other than that I'm leaning towards some eibach springs and bilstein shocks... any thoughts?
  6. noooooo! not fair... you already beat me in the slalom at Shepperton with stock suspension... just ensuring you retain your crown hey... thanks for the help guys
  7. I want to get some whiteline swaybars, bushes etc and was just wondering if anyone has bought and had installed any whiteline products in Melb? If so, where? and would you recommend them? Thanks
  8. don't use the temp guage to work out when the car is warmed up... instead just watch the oil pressure at idle... when it sits on the #2 mark at idle your about ready to boost it! I really want aftermarket oil/water temp guages for this reason
  9. not to mention coppers are cheaper
  10. yeah that would probably just be the stock ecu... it runs a really rich fuel map while the car is warming up... pops through the exhaust on gearchanges etc... mine does it too... usually takes 15 mins of driving before it comes good on cold nights...
  11. hey dude, you copying me;)j/k it may just be your plugs... my car had a miss on the dyno due to fouled plugs (apparently octane booster and platinums don't agree with each other) If it is just the odd miss here and there most likely to be some kind of spark/ignition problem... wouldn't worry about power output... if anything 155rwkw sounds a bit on the high side
  12. ...that would be right Holden decide to use a boat engine... I can just see the geniuses at Holden sitting around the boardroom trying to figure out how to get the spotlight back from the new fords... I've got it! just find the biggest (not to mention heaviest), most fuel guzzling smoke belching POS that the Americans don't want anymore and we will put it in the new VZ! oh but were going to need AWD for any hope of traction... traction? why would the bogans want traction? you can't do circle work with traction!... of course the AWD will make the car heavier but thats okay cos the new engine makes 1000nm of torque at 1000rpm... they will be great in the wet!
  13. ...good question... anyone care to enlighten us?
  14. I think I may actually be dumber for having read this thread...
  15. and not a day over seventeen...
  16. werd!!! cage was much better... :headspin: as long as the elevator ride up didn't freak you out
  17. this makes sense... yeah don't think I have a problem... just the temp guage is a really bad indication of when your engine has enough heat to be safely booted! that and all the limiters the stock ecu has just annoy me... I would love a PFC or something that would just let me know when it sensed knock and not retard the timing... my ebc warns me when I've exceeded my preset boost limit (usually on cold nights> denser air etc)... but the ecu will just kick into overboost protection making that function on my ebc pointless to many things on the car doing the thinking for me
  18. I have trouble with the temp guage (I know its not that accurate) and stupid stock ecu... on a cold night once the needle reaches the middle... I wait until its been there for a few minutes and try and give it a boot... sometimes it goes nicely all the way to redline but sometimes it hits boost cut... other times it retards the timing... there is just no way of knowing if the car is really warm enough to boot (looking at the revs on my SAFC at idle is really the only way) So my dilemma is really the stock ecu and its need to retard my timing or boost cut cos it feels like it... Is there a way around this without going the full ecu replacement...??? and the temp guage is a lying bastard!!! Anyone else have this problem? (note: car runs like a dream on cold nights but only after 20mins of driving)
  19. If your looking out the drivers side or passenger side window to see where the f**k your going for more than a couple of seconds without spinning or overcorrecting... your drifting sideways is sideways it just comes down to how long you can hold it like that... (directly proportional to the size of your balls)
  20. I want that tommy 350Z badly... im going to sit in the corner and sulk now...why did you have to show me that? life is so unfair...
  21. yeah he is a good bloke... not only did he sell me a brand new HKS Pod for a good price but he came round and installed it for me... (cos I was noobish)
  22. thanks for your input guys... no blue smoke on start up or revving hard etc... I think I just was using oil that was too thin cos I put some heavier oil in 10-50w and the pressure is back to normal... but time will tell... I don't think the engine has had a hard enough life to have farked the rings or valve seals well have to wait and see... checked the odometer last night and I've really only got about 750kms or so to go before I should get a service so once the oil has been changed I'm going only going to top up with the same oil... (which is Motul something or other whatever the guys at ice use)
  23. that's not good... I can sometimes smell oil in the cabin after long trip... Are there any other symptoms of screwed rings/valve stem seals... such as excess smoke out the exhaust or poor performance/power output...
  24. Ok so my car has been using quite a bit of oil recently... checked under the car a few times and it doesn't seem to be leaking... there is quite a few black spray marks on my rear bar when I wash my car... this builds up in the space of a week... could it just be oil blowing through the turbo and out the exhaust... I have had to put in 2 litres so far and the oil was changed only 4,000kms ago... The oil pressure also seems to be sluggish... Any ideas before I take it to the garage...?
  25. Hey guys just spied these on Nengun... seem like a relatively well priced option for your GTSt... I just wonder if they are soft enough for Aussie roads... Anyone had any experience with them? http://www.nengun.com/index.php?cPath=38_3...b71ab1e9362663c
