  1. saw a silver/grey c34 at brookside shops today. nice parking!
  2. it wont be laggier than stock by a long mile.. unless you go too big of an exducer wheel on the exhaust side of the turbo. im going to go 2860rs gtbb hiflow for my spare turbo thats coming and see how it works out. if it turns out too small.. ill build the original up to spec for a 30/71
  3. i noticed spiking on a totally different car after a GT25 BB highflo for a corolla .. did exactly the same thing. spiked to 18 then flatened out at 10-12ish. I worked out its bleeding air from the boost T and required cable ties on the boost t's actuator end as over 12psi it would vent through the hose to atmosphere on the connections. just something to check i guess. no boost cut or detonation either. but most likely unrelated.. just read stock turbo
  4. Yeha i was suprised as he was .. being a ute against the 2T wagon.. but someone did tell me the xr6T utes are alot slower than the sedans and not much lighter..so not sure.
  5. mines virtually the same from 100.. it started when i had the front suspension taken apart to be checked to find warn busher pins on the control arm, then they put it back together..thats when it appeared.
  6. check its not in snow mode.. the switch is easily pressed. as its right near your hand. mine doesnt shudder on take off at all. only going into gear slightly. but it does that when ive accidently hit the switch and its gone into snow mode. however do notice a vibration around the 90-100 mark but thats most likely wheel alignment/ balancing
  7. just took the m35 out for a proper night run with its new HDI fmic.. goes well. I actually thought the vq25dets were alot slower than 4.0litre auto xr6 turbo fords. I raced one to 100 from the lights at the entrance of the freeway and stayed a car length ahead the whole time. I was honestly suprised. The guy followed me all the way to the off ramp then signalled to wind down my window and said "whats in that?" I was tempted to say "volvo power!" then just boot it. but i said "VQ25DET" and he just scoffed.. i wonder if he knew what it was? ahh i love this car. *evil laugh*
  8. wow scary stuff.. almost choked on my drink when i saw that gold rim.. thought it was a lm4 rays. *has the fear* :S
  9. yeap i got gipped on the satnav but i got cream leather.. it looks nice but its sticky as when its hot without seat covers.
  10. very true...and good point.
  11. Cool thanks .. hope hes got some left :S yeah the dump and full exhaust mod in one go was the biggest improvement my car has seen in performance thus far.
  12. its much of a muchness when you talking stock , apart from look and luxury options. I personally wish i didnt get an RX and got an RS4 or an AXIS that i knew had the satnav and other features but i got mine quite cheap. axis look nice, come with all the satnav so its a good platform to start. but so is an RS 4 in the m35's also, wheras arx's have limited suspension upgrades and im my opinion (dont be offended arx owners) look a bit stupid riding like an suv and the plastic arches look a bit taccy.. but its really personal preference. as far as performance goes .. stock theyre much of a muchness right through the model ranges. that is with the vq25det models (unless you get an impul or something with an aftermarket ecu) the most important thing is whichever one you choose has low kms and isnt thrashed. thats my two cents anyway.
  13. dunno how his condensor fell out .. when its sitting under and behind the radiator support bracket on two sides and then the radiator on the other side and cant move. the fan weighs about 200grams its pretty light. and the thick fins support it right through without it going near tube walls .. i wouldnt have done it if i didnt think it would hold.. but ill check back on it periodically ..maybe he meant the condenser fan fell off if the plastic pins melted? that seems like a more likely scenario.. ill keep an eye on it and employ the angled brackets (if theyll reach) if it goes pear shaped
  14. i would not be suprised for a second if its not classed as a write off seriously.. its not a 25k repair there. only on the basis of how many are in country and the parts being all imported that it will be classed as a write off.. if this was japan that wouldnt be. sump aside have you checked for any serious damage... its supposed to drop the engine from the mounts on purpose in a front end smash allowing the sump to smash on the ground ..which actually protects the motor and gearbox from frontal impact. thats the clever design of these. didnt notice the motor oil mixed with the tranny oil sorry. thought it just mightve been coolant and tranny oil.
  15. lol sorry dunc .. same boat as me , daleo .. you said it made a good difference yeah? and someone here is making these who is it again.. and is there any left ? Can i get one pls
  16. what turbo!? eyes andy suspiciously ... you havent been to jetwrecks have you ? argh i got delayed again with my suspension and tyres ..not till wednesday now *sad face* also what difference did the plenum spacer make Dunc - i should probably invest in one of those and leave it on the shelf for two months also I didnt notice the hugest difference with the fmic on a stock turbo.. in fact during the day a slight bit of lag , but a definate improvement at night.
  17. Sorry to hear , and a nice m35 also.. i always liked the colour of yours bisbee! on another positive note if they give you a decent price on the buy back you should probably buy it back from insurance.. the engine and running gear looks fine. and im sure that it would get stripped for parts by the keen ants here online. and purchased for a decent price. suspension and brakes also not to mention the interior dont you have black leather? . you could probably make some money on it if its a reasonable price ontop of your insurance. could end up ahead. looks like all that took a hit was the radiator and trans cooler in the radiator in respect to the engine and of course the intercooler looks like it exploded into the ether.. i take it thats what the big puddle on the ground is? dibs on your engine if your selling it!
  18. definately worth the money.. wasnt worried about the fins in the radiator as its more than tough enough to hold the weight with the condensor
  19. cheers!, haha thats happening tomorrow will post up pics tomorrow night
  20. finally got the cooler on! http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170423.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170426.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170425.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170433.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170422.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170424.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170427.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170428.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170430.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170431.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170429.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170436.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170435.jpg
  21. Well i thought id pull my finger out of my arse today and get this intercooler on now that the fan has arrived.. it went on suprisingly easy and had it done in 2 hours. the hardest part was feeding the plastic pins through the condensor and radiator to pin the new slim line condensor fan without taking the radiator off. http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170423.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170426.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170425.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170433.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170422.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170424.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170427.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170428.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170430.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170431.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170429.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170436.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA170435.jpg goes better also
  22. you'll end up paying just as much getting the paint matched on those new gaurds..and seeing as their scratched in that ebay sale they'll require alot more than a respray. check out a repair shop first and get a cash quote regardless.. could be cheaper to get that dent pulled if its possible.
  23. lol not the right tools! ive only got the wheels and the springs! hes got the dampers and the bushers owell weekend project intercooler.. might get a call from me craig / andy
  24. lol! it has to be lowered to even get them on there and my guy has delayed me till monday .. bastard!
  25. mmm nice smell of new tyres in the garage http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA140416.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA140415.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA140414.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA140413.jpg http://i288.photobucket.com/albums/ll166/K...ag/PA140412.jpg should have photos with them on by monday
