  1. The new 324mm GTR spec rotors- sit nicely behind the 17"s
  2. Wrong wheel drive poosar fails to impress. Next.
  3. Because of the inability to scale it, it would be a trial and see what works best I think. You can use anything if you can scale it using tuning software. Unfortunatly, that's not an option for nm35s.
  4. My boot was full of c34. I feel dirty. Btw op, those brakes are really heavy, if you want to swap for stock, let me know
  5. If your talking race car..... AC delete, strip all interior. Strip dash. Get rid of little interior bits, like struts, and tv tuner etc etc. Seat to fixed race seat. Get rid of the auto box, and go manual, it's got to be lighter. But stagea does not equal race car. Just enjoy it. In modern terms it's not a heavy car.
  6. Yup, the common sense rule with all gearboxes, diffs, and transfers! Come to think of it, I really should change mine. Never did do my diffs or transfer. Put it on the never ending list.
  7. 180sx update: So I found this magical store called GKTech that sell all kinds of goodies cheap Its a pleasure us stagea owners don't really get, having access to plentiful supply of reasonably priced decent quality parts. Anyway, ordered their caliper brackets, a upgraded engine fan, and some adjustable rear toe arms to replaced the one that is bent. I went about replacing the very tired brakes with these new items. The pads that were in it were shot. They were once Bendix ultimates (0-550 degrees), but they had been turned into powder. I'll upload a pic later. So bendix ultimates as a track pad - NO! I phoned up GSL rallysport and put an order in for A1RM (0-780 degrees)pads all round, and a bottle of TRW GP600 fluid. As usual, great service by these guys, and it was on my doorstep in less than 24hrs. New billet caliper extenders bolted up, 2 piece rotors on, and pads in, it was time for the Mrs to be called up to do some bleeding. Bled the Clutch too for good measure. Took them for a quick drive to bed in, and the results are amazing. Great pedal feel, and good stopping without having to heave on the pedal to get results. Time will tell if they hold up on the circuit. Still have to install the toe arms and rad fan, and get it aligned. I'd really like to find out some good suspension alignment specs from some of these track guys and see what I have to get to make it all work. I may have a lead on an oil cooler, so I will chat about that later, and I'll chuck up some photos for effect tomorrow
  8. Connector is different, but it would just be a case of figuring out the wiring and chop/connect. Think its the same amount of Pins. I think Craig might have a VQ35de harness with plug hanging around. Take someone with balls to do it! You'd have to run it up, and see if the scaling of the AFM is similar, and the AFRs are safe. NM35s may well have a higher reading AFM from factory, and it will be incompatible. I dunno. Just thinking out loud. Doing a bit of stuff to the 180......
  9. Craig has his car in bits. He has vowed to beat the Mexican 12.9 1/4 time. Several have blown up AFMs. They are fast becoming the "RB25 coilpacks" of the NM35. Maybe someone should try a 350z unit, and run it up on dyno to see if the scaling is useable? Spoolin has had a Golf R for a little while now. NFI about Aaron, saw he was selling the Emo today. Probably will buy something with VTEC to be more flatcapper.
  10. 180sx: 1150kg and three times as powerful as your car. You Jelly?
  11. RS if you have triple gauges in the centre, RX if you don't. I think that is a safe measure, unless installed later, right guys? Or plug in your VIN into something like epc data for the run down.
  12. Yahoo Japan. Just use streeter, or import monster or similar.
  13. Do you even stagea brah? Pull up the handbrake? Your doing it wrong.
  14. Baby steps Craig, you have to beat 13.8 from Dale and myself first before thinking 12s. Congrats on the new purchase Matt. I know your wont be disappointed in the car, and I hope you can keep it looking as good as Chris did. +1 for a meet for the Sydney guys, but I'm not organising it...
  15. Ummm, looking at the plans looks like a 600m track and a 1000m track. At that length good for carts /drift. Too short for a real circuit.
  16. Well, dan now knows he should have full wets, after that spin on inters. Bet he wants to sink into the bottom of that seat now after damaging the car on a formation lap.... Looked like diffuser and something around the floor/side pod falling off.
  17. Rain. Predictable rain makes unpredictable race, hopefully!
  18. Slide time. Dry straight, wet corners. Malaysian rain is golfball sized.
  19. Lol. Their owners must like to be fashionably late. They all decided to come in to make me look stupid!
  20. It's on. Alan Jones. Lol. Waiting for ..."back in my day....."
  21. +1 Looks smick Eric.
  22. Copy paste, cause I didn't see the wrap up thread...... 11ty civics with orange wheels and roof racks. Nah, was a fun night. Loads of "variety". Some rare stuff, some more mundane stuff. A few new sau nsw members joined up which was good. Behaviour was good. Some Honda fanbois thought limiter bashing was a recognised sport. Our little sau setup proved good for car watching. I was AMAZED at the amount of cars still outside when we left. There must have been at least 200 cars I drove past that couldn't get in! Need a bigger space with more entry exit options in the future. And for the record, I didn't see one hwp near the meet. Traffic operations were in house and seemed efficient. Only saw hwp on the way on the m7. Car scene dead? No, it's very much alive.

  24. I went past - omg. Ass was hanging our the bottom of every skirt. Unfortunately it got cold and more clothes went on, but at the start of the day it was a sight to see...
  25. To be honest, I don't think there will be a problem. I have been to sizeable meets organised by these people in the past. They have a good working relationship with the local police. I have seen the police at their events before, but there were no issues. Just a presence. And there will be a presence tonight too. Bt I'm prepared to be wrong! If you act like a dick, you deserve everything you get IMO.
