  1. this guy might want to swap: http://www.skylinesa...rill-for-sedan/
  2. For me response time is more important then 1/2 a second quicker 0-100 time. Modern auto gear boxes tend to have a lag issue more and more. Im talking about when your rolling along at low speed approaching a roundabout, you put your foot down to scoot through while grandma lets another 30 cars past on the right, and the gearbox takes "what seems like forever " to figure out what gear you need and finally you kick off.. I had a honda accord 2009 after the v35 and this was one of the reasons i sold it. Ok, it helps fuel economy and also has the gradient sensitive feature where it automativally shifts down if your going up a hill or down a hill for braking. BUT in other ways it feels like crap. My girlfriends civic does the same thing. One of the things i loved about the v35 was that it was always ready to go regardless of what speed your doing. f**k i miss that car. Any v35 owners thinking of selling should think carefully. You might regret it. Unless of course your upgrading to a v36..
  3. Cool. Exactly what i was looking for. I had a feeling the lag thing might be noticable on the 7 speed. I was really happy with the 5 speed in my v35 and very rarely switched it to sport mode. I probably would'nt use sport mode much if i got a v36 either so i think i might be better of with the 5 speed. One more question, can you use the downshift rev matching without switching it to sport mode? So you leave it in auto but when your slowing down for a corner you tap the paddle to shift down but as you start to accelerate it just goes back to auto by itself?
  4. Hi all, Im hoping to get my hands on one of these in the coming months. Im after opinions/feedback from v36 owners as to which is better. I think the v36 was released with 5 speed auto in 2007 which im guessing was the same as the v35 5 speed? Then in 2008 they came out with a 7 speed. Has anyone had any gearbox dramas with either 5 or 7 speed? Is there any differences apart from the obvious? Do both have the blip the throttle feature when changing down? Does the 7 speed have trouble deciding which gear it wants when you put your foot down resulting in lag? any info would be great. thanks
  5. Might not be 100% correct but hope it helps.. The first screen says "if you want to turn off the screen, press **** button again" (i think the button its referring to should look like the first two characters of the message) Second screen "please insert disc" third screen "press that button (on the left )to turn off screen and set as screen saver"
  6. ok i'll answer my own question in case anyone else was wondering. The answer is no. There is only 3 options available. See below. Got them off the Jap nissan web page. Wish there was an english version *edit* There is an english version but its rubbish.
  7. Does anyone know if the v36 coupe is available with full leather cream interior? Ive seen tan ones which look ok apart from wood grain bits.. But what I'm really after is the cream colour in some premium v35's.
  8. thought id do a quick search to see what all the fuss is about. Wow.. so cheap! check the link below. 12k for a V36 coupe!! Cant even get a good s14 for that much in Perth http://www.cars.com/...iles&sf2Dir=ASC
  9. Did you sell it? I would have called you by now but I need to sell my car first! BTW If your willing to fly over east, you can get a V36 coupe for under 40k with less then 10k on the clock.. WA is a rip off..
  10. Your more likely to sell it to someone outside SAU. Most people on here already have their pride and joys.. So concentrate on the carsales ad rather then on here. (i didnt even have an ad on SAU at all).. Try to make the ad appeal to a wider audience and dont mention petty things that are wrong with the car.. the buyer will figure that out for himself in due course. These cars can appeal to older buyers too. Old people dont want to hear about mods so try to keep it simple on the ad. If a younger guy is interested in the car, then maybe mention the extra mods. That way they can be used as a sweetener. You wont get more for the car because of the mods anyway. Your pics are ok but maybe try make it like a photoshoot with nice background and get the whole car in the pic (not just the front half or the back half).. Use a good quality camera. Clean the engine bay. Make the cabin smell nice... Good luck! one more thing, if you have the standard wheels, i would seriously consider putting them back on and selling the black ones separately.
  11. I sold my car a few weeks ago. 2003 coupe auto. 33,000km totally stock. Got 28k for it and only advertised it for 2 weeks. It was in mint condition but i think what you put on the ad is very important. Sometimes less is more.. Eg you dont need to tell the buyer that it has ONE new tyre!! Makes it sound like the cars been raped. Photos are important too.. Stick to one set of photo's taken on the same day/location.. Not one from your mates house, one from the burnout pad etc etc.. ezy03 not saying your ad is bad.. but seen some shockers out there.
  12. toggles the mirrors to point down when you put the car in reverse.. saves you from gutter rash.. (coupe at least, might be different in sedan)
  13. Yep.. was passing through getting some lunch.. Not really my neck of the woods normally but should definately catch up some time
  14. So many factors. It could be down to road temperature, road surface, air temperature. Try to test it on the same piece of road in the same conditions and see if you still get varying results.. Also a/c on/off might contribute..
  15. thanks mate.. Ive just driven to work and didnt have a single cut out on channel 7 which was previously one of the channels i couldnt even get a picture
  16. Well last night i received antenna's for the asuka from Andy and installed them straight away. The result is very good. Im receiving every channel in my garage so i suspect it will be even better when driving around. Heres a few pics of the finished product in action.. I found a pretty good spot for the USB extension cord without going to too much effort. Its just above the passenger foot well. The antennas i ended up mounting at the top of the windows.. Since those black dotty things are towards the top, the suction caps dont stick too well so i just tucked the ends of the antennas under the roof lining to stop the falling down. Im really happy with this system.. It does everything and more that a $1500 double din unit would do for a 1/4 of the price. The only catch is BYO screen required which in this case is an advantage because you can maintain the factory look and dont have to butcher your center console. Thanks all who helped.. Hopefully Leon and Andy can keep us up to date as to what other gear is out there if this really is the last of the Asuka tuners.
  17. Thanks guys for the info on these mystery springs! I wonder is there any fine print on them with a model number or something that might help. Did your car come lowered when you bought it from the dealer? If so maybe they are the factory springs..?
  18. haha damn!! that would suck.. Hopefully not too far away.. Makes me appreciate even more all the hard work Andy has put in with the russian mob getting things to were they are at now.. then theres the V36, must have even more stuff to figure out..
  19. how many km have the springs done? Are they king springs? (thought they were always yellow?) Do you have a pic of them in your car so i can see how low they go? Also why you selling them? too low? too soft? cheers
  20. Thanks for the info.. Soon as my antenna's arrive I will try the front and rear (top) windscreens before i do anything with the bumbers.. Hoping to have them by the end of the week. In regards to the bypass.. I had this done when i got my english conversion by Nigel. He applied a software crack to sort out this issue so i didnt need to wire anything to my hand brake at all or play with the boards in the tuner..
  21. I tried 2 sources for the 12v. First the blue cable from the asuka which i think is meant for this purpose. Then just to be sure i took it from the same source that was powering the asuka. (which was the same power that the factory tuner was using).. I noticed the extra white connector your talking about. I never thought of checking for a power source from it.. Good idea though.. heres some pics of where im at now..
