Wakefield Speed Off The Streets
B-rice replied to Manuel Kasko's topic in Australian Capital Territory
by all means skidpan is also good especially for driving these cars in the wet. However wakie your driving above 110 and not getting in trouble and enjoying because you dont have to look out for a cop.We should put a skidpan day on the events someday soon. We are a bit dead on doing things. -

received my braided line and fittings, put the fittings on the lines and presssure tested it at 110psi no leaks. Should be dropping them in next week. -
Disco glad you understood what I was asking. I was thinking too that the ethanol does musk some of the small errors but i wanted to address everything from the start of my base tune. From what i collect united actually uses a mix of 15% 91 and 85% ethanol the octane out of this will be 105. If I mixed the 15% 98 with 85% E85. Im prone to get higher octane. Furthermore if i ran martini with 116octane AFTER using 105octane as the base tune, im not entirely sure thats stiff going to be all sweet with the Map. Thats where i wanted someone to shed the light on me. Seems like a tedious process though to get it tuned first on 98, drain it. Then pour in 91 about 10 litres then build your way up to the highest content you can, drain it again then put in 100% ethanol since the remaining petrol will not allow your to get 100% e85.

yes specially with the oiling issue cant address it more like said above 500 -800ml extra. A good bandaid for potential oil starvation. Also you cant overtake except on the straight which makes it not a race. if you guys are keen on getting the times that your doing you can download Harry's lap timer or something like that. Im using racechrono but it needs to be overlayed and shit pm if you want to know about it. im just worried that some people may push a little too hard than they can handle -

ive been telling people that spend max 250thou on a Nismo GTR and youll be raping the 700000 cars out there. Not sure how true it is but the are almost as quick as a formula one at reaching 100km/hr

ok thanks thats what i had been thinking before. I may have asked the question retardely, I my question was if running higher octane than what i used to tune would it affect anything. Talking about octane only im not worried about the ethanol as it will be the same. The only reason why im asking this is because the car that use this fuel run a different compression ratio. So with the R34GTT compression i wonder how it would respond. if dollars permit would be interested in seeing how different it would be from the other stuff.

damn nice result

not sure with 33s but it should be 650 to 850. but it also depends with the temperature of the engine if it cold it will idle higher as the 02 sensor is still working on calculating the fuel mixture. If its warmed up to a certain temp then the rpm drops. or you have your AC on or heater. Or even a hetkik sub will drop your revs when pounding theres also parallax error that could actually be a 900rpm but the way you took the pic make it look like just below 1000 lol -

Andy mine is the same, i was planning of hooking up my Mac Solenoid when i saw it and thought dafuq is going on, how is it controlling boost. my gauge reads 14psi too -
i do understand how its all E% based, im getting the car steup for flex fuel. So if I did that with the Martini E85 im worried that if i use a lower octane fuel like Caltex or Sucrogen it will be like putting in 91octane when you have it tuned for 98. But if i use the Sucrogen stuff then an addition octane may not be a problem but im still not 100% sure. Im using the sucrogen mainly for the fact that its 100% just for the tunes sake, united in Canberra is shit they dont have E85 and at Caltex it was E77 a few days ago.
-
if i established a flex fuel tune using Sucrogen E85 with 108octane. If I use Martini E85 116octane do i risk doing any damage. So far im thinking it will be good for reducing the likelihood of knock etc. But are there other hidden things that could potentially destroys the engine or anything else related to using high pure race octane. Only asking because there's a workshop currently selling the Martini stuff at a good price.

E85 Subforum
B-rice replied to boxheadmr's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
I have been searching for the complete E85 thread only found it becuase I saw this thread otherwise the search function doesnt show the thread up. So i reckon it a good idea to have it sub division only for finding the info better thereby you wont waste serve space with threads that could have been answered in one section. -

nice work Andy will do doing the same this time next week preparing to take it for a tune. Are you going to drive around with the new highflow without a tune? -
