  1. Your injectors need cleaning, that's my guess. When injectors get older they get clogged up and can get stuck slightly open when you shut the car off, bleeding all of the fuel from your pressurized fuel rail into one cylinder. This causes a miss when you start the car as it's too wet for the plug. Quite often it will last longer as the plug is fouled.
  2. Greddy with filter relocation and thermostat, all works well no issues thus far.
  3. R32 Gtr has this, except its in the fuel tank, I believe we are talking about the same thing.
  4. Just noticed you said 6266, that's even better if it's on song earlier, my twins make good power but I'd like some more midrange.
  5. Sir rb, you keen to go into more detail, I have twin t157z's and was thinking of going the 6262, same power per pound of boost?
  6. Is there some reason why using straight methanol is not talked about. A local I know runs a supercharged ls2 on 98 with straight methanol, the guy he bought the kit from in America said methanol is higher octane and has better cooling effect than Water, so why would you want to mix it? Fair point I think. What am I missing?
  7. I bought some gear from this seller, really good to deal with, very well packaged and went out of his way to help. Cheers
  8. Turbo and gate sold. 6 boost manifold still avaliable $900, brand new suit rb26 or rb26/30 t4 flange
  9. Eats solenoid is located on your attesa pump, which is a over your rear diff, if it's a r32 or next to the fuel tank if r33/34. In the manual there is a trouble shooting guide that guides t you through fault finding the issue.
  10. What an effort, that stock bottom end must be loving you for it....This seems a lot more than I would expect out of a 6262, was this on a hub dyno? Impressive effort either way.
  11. There is, but they come at inflated id prices, I'm looking at Bosch injectors and will have them checked for flow.
  12. I wrapped a heavy duty tie down strap around the balancer with a bolt through it last time, 26 balancers are damn tight
  13. Bumping an old topic....... I'm in the market for a new set of injectors for my rb26, currently 380rwkw on 98 fuel. Making the swap to e85. I've mostly looked at the Bosch 1000cc injector, a few people I know have made 500rwkw with them on higher than stock fuel pressure. On the other hand most peoples opinions are to go straight for the 2000cc injector. 2 questions are, who has had problems with the 2000cc injectors rubber o ring perishing and growing etc. supposedly the 1000cc are ok for ethanol but not the 2000cc, even though plenty if people seem to be using them........ Other question is, will a platnim pro plug in be able to make the 2000cc injectors idle ok?
  14. Really? In interested to know more, I own one and it seems great, a mate has the ps2000, that seems like a good thing also. If you were choosing your ecu, talk to who will tune the car for you, they will have a preference.
  15. The new plug in comes with an extra input via the auxiliary plug, dpi, which is required for flex fuel. Good thing. There are a few extra avi and outputs via the aux loom without resorting to the I/O expansion box. So basically if your happy to use mostly the standard sensors with a few after thought I/O then plug in will be fine, so afr, run larger map sensor( over 2.5 bar), log external knock box, boost control through the haltech etc. all this is possible throught the plug in, if you are going to step up further with more logging then go the 2000
  16. I should add, with a couple of small mods the manifold will fit rb25 head too
  17. Hey guys, change of plan on one of my cars, so i have some top notch gear here that i wont be using 6Boost manifold T4 flange no wastegate outlet, to suit 26/30 in VL, also fits Torana as can be seen Mr Turbo Billet 72mm .81 rear housing, this was organized through Kyle at 6Boost, great turbo, on song by 4000rpm, capable of 450-500rwkw Tial 44mm external wastegate with the exhaust housing of the turbo modified(by Kyle) to suit as this is the best way of controlling boost pressure Turbo has done little work on my VL 1000-2000km and is as new 6Boost manifold and gate is brand new, i have all v band flanges and even screamer pipe and 31/2" dump pipe mocked as a package $3000
  18. how much can you get the Ikeya kit for? I can see what you mean, the top and bottom roll center adjusters look to do the same thing, it could be just the photo though
  19. fair point, i love pulling thing out of the engine bay to clear up some room..... i just ordered a K&N, will see how it goes and report back. cheers for the help
  20. Thanks for all the replies, the cold start up is quite high, at idle is 7bar and if i blip the throttle i can get it to touch 9 bar, but if i keep the revs constant, at say 1500 rpm it will settle below 8 bar, this is all dead cold, i just started it in the shed to test. Where are you guys buying the K&N oil filters, eBay? Also yes, the car still runs the stock heat exchanger, although im thinking of binning it next time i pull it to bits, have a greddy oil cooler and remote thermostat. Scottynm35, at what stage do you record 10 bar? rpm, hot or cold etc.??
  21. Hey guy, i have done an oil change today, but noticed my oil filter has pushed away from the mounting stud, like it has had too much pressure for it to handle. Its a r32 GTR with a built bottom end and around 400kw at the tyres, it runs a JUN oil pump, I'm not sure of bearing clearances or oil restrictor size as the engine was assembled before i bought the car. Same goes with shimming the Jun pump, i don't know. What I do know is the engine is a bit over 8 bar at 1800rpm when its dead cold, about 3 bar when warm at idle and will have to check further to see what the max oil pressure is when revving to 8000rpm. I was using a DRIFT filter, they have a anti drain back valve and a magnet, i figured it would be a good thing, but thinking now it could be not as good as a ryco for strength as its what i have used on all of my previous cars. I understand the Rb oiling system quite well and know this is quite high pressure, but not unheard of. I'm just after some info from people in the know with aftermarket pumps running them at the full pressure and if this is something anyone else has experienced. I'm not keen on the oil filter blowing off and killing the motor that's for sure......... cheers
