  1. Was good to catch up with those of you who were at gravalia. Cruised with you guys til Lady Denman drive, then I headed off to my other BBQ lunch. Looking forward to the pics also
  2. Lol at Sinista32's winning comment.

  3. Not the Museum, thats the point of the title. Gravalia Park. Search up a bit for a map.
  4. Ouch, even less fun. I've just gotta get a bitta hose, listen and work out which it is.. Was hoping to get some ideas and advice on how to fix etc and what it might cost me (hopefully is something I can do with help, rather than paying trojan etc to do...) and esp before it actually stops working...
  5. So what have we got as our current plan for tomorrow? Are we still meeting for a chat etc at gravalia, then going for a bit of a cruise before a bbq? Not that I'll make the BBQ, but curious to know what the final verdict on all is. Also Trozzle, hopefully will catch you tomorrow and can grab that manual also. Ta mate.
  6. Supposedly I'm getting a bit of noise from a bearing. It's one of the belt driven things, power steering, A/C or the other one. it's one of the two on the right side of the engine (when facing the engine from the front of the car). Gotta work out which, and how to go about replacing the bearing. Any ideas, suggestions, advice etc?
  7. Spotted a black r33 turning off haydn drive into bruce around 11pm.
  8. Ouch.. What suburb is your place Nerm? We gonna just meet here or meet at Gravalia park and cruise over? I'm still to meet up for a bit before my other thing if I can.
  9. They aint had this kinda prob since 1974 and 1976... My gal works in the chemist on crawford st, and yeah they are closed due to water.. Not fully flooded like other places, but yeh...
  10. It makes a lot of sense to do it flat. Esp the if do it up, it gets some pressure on it, helping it move wrongly when go over bumps rather than keep it in the place of when the far is flat. I'll keep looking for info, but I put it on with the car flat for now, but may need to check it again, as the ground was a little slopey on my drive so it might not be 100% right.
  11. It makes some sense, but I just keep getting advice both ways from people and places.
  12. Pedders where I got my whiteline bar from still insist it won't work unless I lift the front properly. So that all the stress and pressures are off the body, and to attach it and tighten it up properly before lowering the car back to the ground...
  13. Yeah I think I'll do it with the car sitting flat on the ground, as if do it lifted it is more likely to create some degree of change, or possibly put un-necessary pressure? At least this way I know it is set to how the car normally sits. Next time I do get a balance and alignment done, I can ask them to check the settings of the strut bar and if necessary tighten it a bit when they have the car lifted, and then do all the alignment. It would have only been the camber that changed.. But was told should lift the front to take any strain off the suspension for when doing the job. I'll give it a go when can once pick up the strut bar - hopefully this arvo.
  14. Hey guys, couldn't find anything else really answering this question. Just bought a front strut bar for my r33 skyline. I've heard a few things regarding the installation, and I have a few questions and concerns. Firstly I was told to install, I should jack the car up and have the front in the air. My question for that is, if undo the bolts to hold the strut bar on, won't my suspension come out? Secondly I was told the struts need to be sitting as close to 90 degrees as possible, how am I meant to even check or insure this? I would have thought having the car on the ground would have kept them closer to the right place? Thirdly, some say it will and some say it won't affect my wheel alignment (mostly camber I presume). I really didn't want to fork out for another wheel alignment... But will do what must if it is required. Advice, info, tips? Thanks.
  15. Yeah I agree with most of that. Just the occasions when I am over taking, and I'm doing the speed limit or just over, and the car am passing is going enough below that I was catching up, then I want to be able to overtake without having to major speed then duck back across. If somebody else wants to speed excessively and my over taking at the limit or just over frustrates them for all of 10-20seconds, well they can just get over it. I'll always move back right after if I can... II admit there have been the rare occasion that the person has sat on my arse the whole time, rudly, and i got annoyed with them and I did just sit next to the car I was overtaking and blocked them out. I know it was the wrong thing to do, but have prob a couple of times ever done that, cos they were such rude arses that I got pissed off.
  16. What suburbs ur place mate? Glad somebody was willing to offer a backup location though.
  17. And this is what we like to call road rage. Yes it bugs me if somebody sits in the right lane when shouldn't, but sometimes is needed due to about to take a turn off, or actually over taking. If I'm driving right on the speed limit or a little over and I'm passing cars in the left lane, then you get somebody who wants to go 20+km's over the limit and over take, and sits on yours arse while you are trying to overtake at or barely over the speed limit. That is not good, not safe driving. They are being a total tool bag. If somebody wants to tailgate me on a single lane road, and I'm already doing a little over the speed limit, I'll flash them my brake lights a couple times to remind them to get off my arse. If they don't, I will slow down to the speed limit, not stupidly below, but I'm not gonna put up with somebody sitting on my arse when I'm already doing the speed limit or slightly over already. I'm not as bad as my father though, on the clide this car was talegating him for ages while he was driving with a trailor. Dad would literally slam on the breaks if anybody ever tailgated him. I'm not about to risk causing an accident, but that is why I will slow down to the speed limit. If the road conditions are not good, I will slow down below the limit so whatever gap the car is leaving, is a safe gap for the speed we are to travel. I don't do it to piss them off, I do it cos I don't want my car rear ended cos some turd is too impatient to sit back an extra meter when I'm driving at or just over the speed limit already.
  18. http://canberracarfair.com.au/ for the epic car fair. It is where bought my last car, and trying to sell it now also. But due to the rain it is closed this weekend I just found out. ACT is pretty good on modded cars, much better than NSW. And in act u can get a roadworth check done and sell the car with RWC and that'll make it sell easier. You'll need some ideas of how much you feel it is worth comparitively to other similar cars for sale at present. But yeh it's a very hard market atm, and just before christmas is the absolute worst time to try to sell... GL!
  19. Gotten lotta scam emails also while trying to sell my Pulsar. Still want it sold and gone. Aftermarket steering, pod and exhaust don't need any engineering certs.. They are perfectly legal - well in ACT, can't vouch for NSW, prob does need certs there... As for the rims, just put it through pits on stock rims *shrugs* Sorry you are having no luck selling, I've had no word bout my car either, even with price drops. But mine is complete all work done, 100% working condition and nobody has any interest in it... had a couple calls in the past month, that was it. Just the wrong time of year to be selling and market is a bit dead atm.
  20. Cos it doesn't get to a post box, means actually gotta buy stamps. A digital form is easier not to get lost, more secure, quicker to process, and means don't gotta move my lazy arse from my desk chair. Well actually I don't just work at a desk, but I don't buy stamps, I don't go near a post office/news agency or post box regularly. Can do things the hard way as necessary, but it is the hard way.
  21. Yeah need the pdf forms where you can fill your details in and attach it to an email, or even better an online form with safe secure credit, direct deposit or paypal payments. I'll sort out my membership sometime soon. Just gotta have some cash.
