  1. You need to find out first if you are still running a HID setup, or were they disconnected at compliance ? plenty of previous threads about the HID setup. The HID bulbs are D2R for the record, but sounds like yours may have been converted to crappy H1's. an easy way to check is to look at the back of the headlamp and check that the silver shielded harness coming out of the HID ballast has been butchered, usually accompanied by some dodgy wiring. Also, does your bulb look like this (D2R) if you look in from the front ? http://www.bulbman.com/images/d2r.jpg I wouldnt worry too much about the relays and fuses etc its probably the way Nissan made it. To convert them back to HID takes some knowledge a few parts and few hours work.
  2. optional extras, if you have any of these options and they dont work, then replace, otherwise not a prob. Deicer is cold area version accessory, can be determined by heating elements in front windscreen under wipers. 100v is an optional socket and switch in centre console. HIDs are pretty standard on late S2s, maybe optional on early S2s.
  3. Why not just replace the cracked lens cover ? same part # for all Stageas 24813-0V000 Whereas about 5 different versions for the cluster assembly over the S1 and S2 range. You might get lucky or tinker to make it work. eg The S2 M-at has the electronic gear display, so id imagine the plugs on the back would vary.
  4. QUOTE(Mayuri Krab @ 4 Oct 2008, 03:46 PM) * Could you check mine as well? 6U9000ECR33017040 Thanks option: super fine coat (fluorine coating)
  5. options are: 14. super hard coat 15. rear wiper 16. tran grid trim and type M 40th anniversary model 17. remote control entry 18. viscous lsd + abs + 40th ann seat + 2 door
  6. it comes on when water temp reaches 95 deg and switches off at 91 deg, whether AC is on or not. I think it also swtiches with a temp sender in the AC condensor, but it will seldom switch on outside summer months. Your AC air temp would be related to something else, re-gas etc.
  7. Thanks for resistor, works fine. Here's a simple Injector calibration calculator for the ECUTALK. Refer to here for correct procedure when calibrating. Inj.zip

  9. bought from Japan and used for approx 5 months, good mild upgrade on standard shocks. direct replacement for standards, uses standard springs. new silicon boots included. pick up from Brisbane, $60.
  10. just locks the 4wd into a 50:50 split...for snow as well, not recommend for use on hard surfaces due to the stress it puts through the transfer case, can come in handy ie. about the only time ive used it is on slippery boat ramps and backing the trailer up my steep lawn.
  11. they would have put an adapter plate inside the opening to convert them from D2R HIDs to H1 bulbs, just pry it out, probably siliconed in. I did the rewire on mine, i had to buy a new plug harness and D2R bulbs (ebay). Easy enough to rewire, 3 wires from memory, +ve, -ve and a 'safety' wire which prevents power to the harness without the bulbs in place, if using an aftermarket harness i think this wire needs to be earthed ?? in order to overide the safety circuit. Best to pull out the whole headlight assemblies to see what you have left in place and a lot easier to do the re-wire. These are high voltage, so any joining should be done properly, with proper heatshrink etc, not insulating tape. The wires into your bulbs now should be the wires which were going into your ballast. Mine were cut so short i had to open up the ballast and re-solder new wires onto the circuit board (which is contained inside a block of insulating silicon). Pm me if you have any qu's.
  12. This Airbag diagnostic procedure is for a S2, should work for S1, but sounds like you have a faulty connection or part. Easier is you can get hold of a CONSULT unit at your local Nissan, otherwise follow the manual procedure in the pdf. Airbag_diagnostic.pdf
  13. wires will be fine, 99% it has just developed a bad connection, chances are you will never see it happen again if you reset the connections at back and fuse box.
  14. remove steering column shroud- about 6 screws underneath, remove cluster surround- 2 screws on top and some wiring harnesses, remove cluster- 4 screws. about 3 or 4 harnesses at back.
  15. like mike said, undo all connections off back of cluster and re-attach them, also could be a bad connection in the fuse box, pull all the fuses out and push them back in. Spray all of the connections with a contact cleaner if you want to be fussy.
  16. NO, its a manual transmission oil, you need an Auto transmission fluid, eg CASTROL TQ DIII
  17. If you have never relaced it, then its a must, probably the original factory fluid in it, same fluid as transmission.
  18. The module behind the pax kick panel is the Engine control module (ecu), part numbers in previous post. This also runs fuel pump etc. Did you mean something else ?
  19. considering there is a dozen or so S2s in that linked photo, 121 would seem too small for the size of Japan. So what was the Parts Guy's guess ?
  20. Trolled through a Japanese blog site of a 260RS owner and he stated that 1700 260RS's were produced. He seems to be a pretty serious 260RS owner, so hopefully his guess is educated. Couldnt find any official numbers and no breakdown of S1 and S2s. http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/hachi0624/MYBLOG/yblog.html
  21. not sure what a body control module is, what does it do and where located ?
  22. ECU part #s, although the 3rd one fell right on the change over for 2 part #s, and strangely my FAST couldnt decide which one. But there seems to be about 4 part #s that are interchangeable.
