  1. After cleaning mine today, i just thought id dredge up an old thread and let the newbies know, and remind us oldies, that they have an Air conditioner cabin filter in there Stagea that most probably has never been cleaned.
  2. Snow button will prevent it going into 1st gear, ie take off in 2nd and I think change gears lower in the rev range. Also, not a good idea to use the synchro button on hard surfaces at speed, only on grass, snow etc when you need it. Puts stress on the transfer case, especially when cornering on ashphalt. Ive only ever used it when on wet grass or at the boat ramp etc. PS welcome by the way. You won't need an owners manual, theres more info to be found on this forum, just about everything has been covered a few times over. Ive got the full Japanese workshop manual, can be handy if you can work things out from the pictures, and also if you want to know a little more about your car, pm me your vin and ill send you what options your car came with.
  3. join the queue, our only hope would be if someone got a mould taken and got a company to copy them.
  4. Has anyone experienced a bad chassis earth in their stagea, common prob ? Whilst diagnosing a typical whining engine noise within my stereo I have discovered that my chassis is not that well earthed, 7 ohms resistance from chassis to battery, compared to 0.2 ohms for battery to engine. The culprit looks to be the earth lead from the battery to the chassis bracket (not bracket to chassis), just below the battery on the chassis rail. Will clean connections, and see how it goes. Anyway, something to lookout for as these cars grow old and the connections gunk up.
  5. got mine on ebay for around $50 each, genuine philips 4200K.
  6. true, also one towards the rear around the idle control. Warm up the engine with the bolts and radiator cap off, keep pouring coolant into holes ( and radiator ) with small dispenser as you go. Once coolant/bubbles start appearing, place bolts on but only half way, so bubbles can escape. Wait until all the bubbles have stopped and a flow of coolant is seen, tighten up bolts. To be really thorough, check after a few days of driving, undue bolts and pour in some coolant to remove any accumulated air. Probably a few ways to do this, but this works for me.
  7. oh phil, now you have really confused things, he is sure to get the Corolla now So in summary, 5 for coils, 4 for R&R and 1 for fuel pump.
  8. this is it for a while, i could get some more, but with Aussie dollar so low they would be about 30% dearer.
  9. ** Got 2 more NEW ASUKA digital tuners as seen in the Group buy earlier this year, $310 delivered. (rrp is approx $460) For those newbies, these connect into your C34 Xanavi screen or M35 Factory screen and use the factory TV window aerials and give an absolutely stable pic and sound in DTV reception areas. Pm me if interested.
  10. yep, don't think a dyno run will tell you much more than you already know....ecu is probably sensing too much airflow and protecting the engine. SAFC will help if this is the issue and if the tune leans it out at the range where it is missing.
  11. yep, 3 no need for audio RCAs if you dont have the factory head unit.
  12. I have a list for first 13 codes, 14 to 18 are the options, listed for you earlier. eg 'A' in #15 means rear wiper, P in #16 is big spolier. Dont know of any lists the cover codes 14 to 18. Just a matter of translating them. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=3718792

  18. they are for an R33 Gtst
  19. R34 and R33 GTR are the same, part # 48520-23U25
  20. WTB: Stagea Fuel filler. Im after an original Nissan one, not the aftermarket restricted one the compliance shops stick in. As mine has developed a crack.

  22. What particular information on your car are you after ?
  23. the base timing is designed for 100 octane jap fuel, so if anything, you should be leaving it or retarding the timing slightly for 98.
