  2. LOL!!!! He really is somethin special! LOL
  3. lol, I bet you were runnin a whole deck of cold! Yeah hopefullt TW will come off, I gotta get back into the swing of navigating and quite living the rockstar drivers life! lol
  4. Rookie Rally! Sweet! Prepare yourself for a wicked time!
  5. Bad news about the 'box! Great news for Jenna! Targa West? I might jump in the stoopid seat with me mate Kennard in a spec C?
  6. Yeah agreed. The question was asked of competitors prior to ok'ing that transport, but we were told in was in superb condition with Very small gravel particles. What I wasn't aware of was how close it was to the time control, as I'm sure many others weren't either! I had an unGodly wheel balance issue all the way to Longford, where thankfully we had the chance to skid her up and clear all the debri. Didn't worry us so much in the "tough-as-nails" GTR, but I bet it worried plenty of others! By the way, I was walking over to say hi morning of Prologue I think it was, but by the time I was up the stairs youd dissappeared!
  7. Indeed it does! I'm wondering whether he was forced to drive it over that dirt road following the Rossarden stage!
  8. Adam Caplan was driving it, he owns it (he's really keen to sell it), he's a very good peddler and has competed for ages in a Giacattollo with big hp. I would imagine he wasn't keen to mark the car in any way, whether that be through a fence or even a stone chip. I can't say I blame him for not giving it a flogging! I did see it get quite a few big squirts though
  9. He means slowly and with respect
  10. He actually just popped the vacuum line off the pressure regulator.... I know this coz I spotted it. We all must remember that Prologue ONLY allocates your start order...... for instance we could have gone harder, but from experience don't enjoy being nearer to the sweep car, gives you less chance to continue if you have a problem. Lots of guys seem to enjoy the bragging rights that prologue brings though
  11. Arrrrgh! That was you I spoke with, great to meet you! Sorry it didn't click to me straight away, was runnin a bit of peak at the time trying to stay in front of the sweep car after we had to FIV in the previous stage. And yeah, thanks for allowing the boys to jam up ya driveway with the truck too!
  12. Hi guys, just got back to work, post targa blues have already set in! Wanted to publically congratulate all the SAU'ers this year, fantastic effort by all, especially considering so much of the course was new and in in most parts VERY challenging! To my navvy Tim, mate, hold your head up high, awesome effort....... hope your white knuckles are fading back to normal, as you and I both know, there was a few double-seat-grabs along the way! lol Thanks to everyone for their support along the way.... now does anyone have a car for Tim and I to enter next year? lol
  13. Really don't know mate, I'm thinking he's going to focus more on endurance circuit racing?

  21. Team Release Team “Shake n Bake” can’t wait for Targa 2008! Thursday 27 March 2008 The social side of Targa almost outweighs the competitive side and as a bit of fun, a group of mates comprising of recent and past Targa competitors have banded together to enter the Targa Teams Section as Team “Shake n Bake”. In the true spirit of racing these guys are hunting the 1st place 2008 Targa Team Trophy… “because if ya ain’t first, ya last!” Team members are: 895 Manion/Manion 33GTR V-spec N1 1995 904 Millar/Dean Evo IX GSR 2006 962 Kennard/Grimwood Sti Spec C 2007 979 Wooster/Kulhanek 34GTR V-spec II N1 2001 The laughs and jokes will be put aside at the start of each stage as the crews get down to business. While the GTRs of father and son crew, Manion/ Manion and newly formed crew of Wooster/ Kulhanek are fighting it out in the Outright Modern competition, the EVO 9 of Millar/ Dean and WRX of Kennard/ Grimwood will be racing for a place in the inaugural Showroom 4WD competition. You can rest assured that either in competition, at the end of each day and on Sunday afternoon in Hobart, Team “Shake n Bake” will be having fun and enjoying the spirit of Targa Tasmania! “Shake n Bake baby! Why? Because we like to SHAKE… then BAKE!!!!”
