  1. Apparently there's just one particular resident who does the complaining, a lady who evidently isn't into racing. Re the Db meter, it was positioned on the wall below the tower, so, on the right side of the car. That's not to say it won't be moved in the future. Maybe someone involved can tell us if it's gonna be in a fixed position?
  2. Yeh mine turned out to be an earth wire in the engine bay! Just a smallish one from the body to engine, it had a fraction too much resistence and would occasionally drop out the 4wd. Super hard and expensive to find I'm still struggling trying to get the budget together in such a short space of time for this year. Grrr.
  3. ^^ Funny you say that, I had the same problem with my real 32 gtr, took forever to find the issue as well.
  4. Giant, I'm hearing you! Be sure to let me know when you're doing it so I can come say hi...
  5. Yes, but that was sort a long time ago, turned out to be a dud earth.
  6. So they're not like a 32 where you have to come to a virtual stop?
  7. Isn't it just great! The track has so much to offer, from the diffcult to get right Carousel, under Dunlop bridge and into Hungary (my favourite!). I live about 20 minutes away too, and this is the final seed I needed to get a car build underway
  8. Maybe... Dean has some business he needs to attend to. I'm trying to scrounge up the budget and nav to run it.
  9. Apparently after rev limit launches the Attessa was doin a bit of wtf and jumping out of 4wd. The boys @ MPC are checking it out to try and find the issue. Nothing obvious at this stage. Anyone heard of the same issue and maybe pass on some ideas?
  10. Hmmm, I'll ask. Maybe get some interest Is anyone here a confident Nav and willing to tip in some cashola (amount undetermined at this stage but alot would be great ) to sit beside me in the 34 for Targa?
  11. Yeh looked like it had good pace from the sideline. I was just there with my mate John (black 32 GTR), hiding from the sun in the back of my Jeep mainly. lol It's been 5 or 6 years since he was there and boy was he stoked to get back out I'm trying to get there Saturday to lend a bit more of a hand.
  12. Coupla pics from yesterday.... Was trying to think when we were last there? Would that be around a year? You had your 32, I had my SuperMagna
  13. Thought I spotted you there Wasn't sure if it was you as I didn't see your GTR. Nice driving in the Supra, looked good
  14. "red stripe" fluid transfer hose is the stuff to use. It's designed for petroleum products. Don't use "green stripe" as it's only for water. Pirtek or any hose specialist will know what you're asking for mate
  15. Thanks mate Clears that up for me.
  16. Basically all a CAMS scrutineer will look for is an Airbag light on the dash meaning there's a fault. They can be either deactivated by just disconnecting them or pulling the fuse, or completely removed like my post above. If you were to permanently disable them, I'd be inclined to remove them completely, maybe even sell them? They've gotta be worth a bob or two? re a street car as you guys are discussing, it poses an interesting question....... I'm not sure how I'd handle it, and of course disconnecting an airbag will deem a fully registered cat un-roadworthy.
  17. ** I take no responsibilty if you do this and the airbad deploys, but it worked for us** Edit: *note, Anything to do with an airbag is usually shrouded with Yellow conduit. When we built the blue 34 it was easy peasy. I just disconnected the battery, unplugged the driver's bag under the steering column lower shroud, removed the wheel, and then removed the entire airbag itself. The passenger side was easy too, just dropped the glovebox out, unplugged the bag, and unbolted it. It's attached to the dash support bar, and is suprisingly heavy compared to the driver's bag
  18. Yeh, what he said. ^^^^^
  19. Joises! Woulda given you a fright I bet. I can't see why it would have deployed (issue with poor previous accident repair maybe??). For rallying we have to de-activate/remove all airbags and this is checked at scrutineering. I'd certainly be de-activating the airbag if the car had proper harnesses, seats, and a 6 point cage.
  20. Yeah well the crew get weighed and the car goes over a weigh bridge at least once during competition. I haven't actually checked the rules for Moderns, but I thought it stated minimum weight could be "factory weight less 10% plus 47 kg for safety equipement/cage etc. Now, wouldn't that get a 35 around 1610kg odd? Like I said, I haven't actually checked the rule, so i could have just wasted your time in reading this sucker!
  21. Oh no what a pain. Stop for someone? Jason and I had a phat time chasing down Ayers in his 33 in 2006 in the area I describe above Two GTR's going at it at the top end of 5th It was like something out of GranTurismo at Trial Mountain or something..... but so much.... realerer! And awesome!
  22. Personal taste, but i think I still prefer the std look, with just a set of wider wheels
  23. hahaha, didn't I ever! I'll edit that right now
