  1. Im only guessing but what about bolting the standard fronts to the rear? (disc and caliper) if they ARE the same that would be stage one as you now have vented rears. stage two would then be honda accord calipers and hilux calipers I have heard this is a straight bolt on for the front and are 4 mm larger in diam as well as 4pot calipers. you would also probably need a brake bias valve for stage two because your front rear bias would be all fuct up. But like i said, im only guessing. hope this is of some help.... Project Skylux Update....engine and box is sitting in place. firewall chopped back 150mm. And ive made the sump and center oil pickup...its getting there ! (slowly)
  2. oops yep i meant rsx84.... also the budget for those lights is $250....can go more but prefer not to. cheers
  3. um....maybe im wrong......but that is NOT a c110.....the bonnet on this pic hinges at the front....c110's dont...they hinge from the back like most cars. funkymonkey.....my 'line is a c210....close tho....
  4. l20et setup on an l24e..how much power will it make and how much boost before it reams itself a new a55hole?

  6. Well, i got the job as i was deemed useful enough to UAS to be put on as a mature age apprentice. Due to multiple commitments (AND i miss kirsty, my gf) I am back in Qld until the new year. More than likely will begin with the new intake of apprentices in january. So you all may meet me yet...DAMN its cold in sydney! Anyway, thats what is happening in the world of V8skylineMAN PS.... thanks for the congratulatory comments pplz

My skyline was to be deliverd back to me(from storage) this long weekend in june but i am moving to sydney as of 6/6/04 Why?......because i have scored a job @ Unique Auto Sports in castle hill. I love QLD but this offer is just to good to pass up

  9. I have an urgent question.....i need to know can the rear oil pickup in an L24E block be used.....i need to make a new sump with the pickup at the back....and ive found a second location for the pickup to bolt to, but i dont know if it can be used...does it need to be drilled? or just bold the new one into place!!!
  10. harebrained idea......i blew my 1.2 litre 4cyl RN20 hilux up last week.....so i pulled the engine out today...turned around to get the hammer(for some quick mods) and spied my l24e sitting in the corner......"hmmmm" i thought, that just might fit.....long story short i now have an l24e sitting in there and a bloody great hole in the firewall....
  11. Hey.....I dont know wherether ur lsd hat will fit, but if u get the front diff from a Datsun720 4X4 it is a 4.8.........only prob is, its a r180....but it is a heavy duty one tho as it came from the 4x4.......i used to use one of these in my 1600 burnout/drag/street car.......very tuff diff. i have vids of my car doing a 270 m burnout . won the comp with that one....i miss the old girl
  12. Hahaha....Ghostrider, YOU forgot the L13 and L14 that also came out in the Datsun 1600's obviously they werent called 1600's with those engines, they were called Bluebirds. The L13, L14,L16 and L18 didn't have the "B" designation, either. The earliest L series you will find would be a 1968 model as they were released in 1969.(Obviously they were being built before they were released) Odd that his site is based in the netherlands too.....(or appears to be)
  13. Is skylinesteve the champagne coloured one?
  14. cool...I dont think ive seen you yet, Ill be on some cruises soon....cant wait to get the bloody thing back on the road. The dude next door owns a champagne coloured R33 GTS-T
  15. sorry to hijack the thread, but is that car in ur avatar yours melv? if so , i think i lve just up the road from u....coomera waters
  16. just wondering what either a turbo set up or the complete engine would be worth....im putting an l24e into my 1.2L hilux(1974) gunna haul a55, but would haul more a55 with a turbo.
  17. tail hangs out more due to centrifugal force of car going round corner.......faster spinning tyre has less traction due to increased heating of the rubber.....hotter the rubber, the slipperier(sp) it is..... this is the way i see it , anyways
  18. Saw a silver R33 GTS25T on browns plains rd today bout 4 ish...plates 688HJU.....has the www.skylinesaustralia.com sticker on the back window......no where near centered tho..... wastes the look of both the 'line AND the sticker
  19. It is for torsional rigidity, same deal as a strut tower brace.
  20. Im guessing, but i think you CAN get personalised plates...cos if i remeber corectly one of the HPI vids has a car with 3040 and it was a HKS development car with a 3040 turbo on it white r32 i think....but my memory is shot what forum is this?
  21. Was going to say Binding left brake.....but u fixed already.....might be something to look at next time some one has a similar problem.... R31NISMOID: its probably the locking nut that holds the strut insert into the casing.........my C210 does it occasionally...dunno why tho....i just tighten it up again and keep on truckin.....
  22. definately look like volks , but which one, i dunno
  23. Looked awesome!!!!! Spewing I dont have my line yet...... :cuss: :hellpisd:
