  1. furk em if they do, either way.....
  2. ok, sorry to get your hopes up frinik......yours was the first name that came to mind, but the picture i was refering to was actually justinfox's on that note, my vote for non-professional category is actually frinik
  3. Skylines Australia is currently ranked 63 on topnissansites.com .......Not good enough people! We can do better than that......if every one goes and logs into sau by clicking on it in the topnissansites page, maybe we can get closer to the top.....Hopefully thats the way it works....if not , have you got any ideas PranK?
  4. i take it you cant vote for yourself, so i think justinfox gets my vote, even though he is a professional....
  5. bumpity bump...please buy these parts i dont wanna dump them
  6. I forgot one thing, the L18 head has the best design combustion chambers of all the L series 4's.....the 200b has the largest port size.. you choose which one you want, but i'd go the L18 and port it out and fit the larger valves.
  7. Stewart Wilkins knows his datto stuff, thats where i get my bits from...also try SSS automotive although i think they may have moved away from the older stuff now.... The recipe for a good torquey L series combo consists of(ive built one b4)...... L18 Block Double counterweight crankshaft, I avoid using the single weight cranks. L24 flywheel, lighter than the 4cyl ones and accepts the larger diameter clutch plate and pressure plate(i think Navara is lighter again, but dont quote me) 720 4WD Clutch L16 conrods, as they are 2.9mm longer than the L18 rods. This improves the rod ratio from 1.66 to 1.7, giving more bottom end torque. The standard datsun piston has a 2.9mm deep dish in the top. So by fitting L16 conrods and machining the piston flat, you end up with a zero deck height, flat top piston bottom end, that has a better rod ratio than the L20B (1.68). 60 thou oversize pistons Stanza SSS gbox...better ratios and reverse is directly above 1st making it ideal for a kana car. R 2 4 1 3 5 You can take an L18 to 140thou over and use toyota pistons if u wish...they have massively thick bores.
  8. go the rb, but dont modify any original parts....use 2nd hand xmembers to chop, or make new ones, that way you can return it to standard...on the other hand, unless its completely stock at the moment, ie orig motor and brakes and such, it doesnt matter what you do to it cos it is no longer original anyways... hell i dont know i love the old L series too.....supercharged 3.1 litre Lseries......oh god yes!
  9. I agree....there are a few things i want to find out, but as i'm on dial up there is no way im going thru it all (spose i COULD search)........some one with adsl should go thru this thread and delete the crap, leaving only tech information and personal dyno results etc, or even split it into two threads...tech/power,.... I'd gladly do it, but like i said....Dialup. .. General chit chat should be kept in the wasteland(maybe an R30 subforum?) boj01: photoshop....."Save for web" very good compression....
  10. just went and checked, and yes an ea one will fit... and they are 70A
  11. if this stuff fits a 1600 it *should* fit a C110, but im pretty certain tha a arms will be a different width.... R200 are not the same as an r160...the rear mounting braket has to be modded to fit an r200.......and r200 are cv joints, r160 is uni joint
  12. Definately not your idle circuit then....I would also think that it is your bov's......try taking them apart and giving them a bit of WD-40 or summing....the plungers MAY be slow to respond? due to lack of lube.....but also put your stockers back on...or buy some more stockers
  13. does the idle only drop once and then sort it self out? or does it keep going to almost stall, and then pick up, almost stall, pick up etc etc while your sitting there?
  14. course you can...supercharge..... why not build a supercharged and turbo charged FJ......guys have done it with 20V corolla's and nissan did it with the march gt super turbo ( i think that is what it was called) way back in the late eighties(i think, again)

    Hmm

Thanks buddy, your a legend! I look occasionally but i have to use babel fish for every little phrase on the page, because for some reason there is an error when you try to translate the whole page from jap to eng...
  16. You sure you werent watching your tacho? lol
  17. i would get mechanical oil pressure guage, and check it against that, they are only about 50 bux from supercrap or something....im not saying put a cheap ass guage in your gt-r im saying use it to see if yours is out, or your oil pump is sha99ed.....if at all possible have them hooked up at the same time to see any discrepancies(sp?) in readout. Idle prob: Have you had your throttle body off at all? ever? Also could be ilde circuit faulty making revs jump around.

    Hmm

check this out: Case Number 1 Case number 2 (note the text on the shirts) Case number 3 Case number 4 (follow the links and you will find much more of the same) This is how i got the impression that it might be the same word or something it only happens with c210/c211's seems that c211 = japan lol
  22. I agree, but also note that all images i have in this thread are linked from the gallery(i think they all are anyway)

    Hmm

It's got me stumped...... It would appear that in japan the word for C210/C211 has the same meaning as the word "Japan" or something...because if i type "my japan" into google i get heaps of C210/C211 sites They seem to refer to their cars as "My Japan" Am I right, or is there some other explanation?
  24. Good to see you know your older Datsuns though.
  25. I knew it was an 810, but I didn't realise that you called them that..... Our P510 is a jap bluebird, but we call them 1600 cos the size of the motor. 610 is 180B what the "b" is i dont know No, we call them station wagons......Japanese called them Estates...and possibly UK do also but I'm not sure.
