  1. IT'S ALIVE!!!! See you at the Drift Festival Nick and Ben at GT Garage must have actually bent time it's self in order to get it done!
  2. I'd say go for it, if it happens that it gets a bit too hard later on at least you've done some of it, hopefully reducing their orginal quote a little.
  3. can the flywheel cope with being spun up to 10,000rpm, I'd be worried about that bad boy letting go and chopping my legs off. Apart from that, it'd be pretty epic revving it's nut off. Go for it!
  4. Practice makes perfect. Be confident, but not forceful with your gear changes. Match the revs to the gear you're selecting, then quickly but smoothly release the clutch. Learn where the catch point is, it does take a while. If what you say is true and you're being pushed back into the seat (sudden acceleration) when you change gears you might be leaving your foot on the throttle a little bit when you've got the clutch in. But again, practice, just find a nice loop of quiet road and cruise around until you get the hang of it! Good luck.
  5. What sparco's do you have? I think there is a pair of GTR seats in at SPG for like $350
  6. There are some really nice R33s in here I really like the glowing red boot garnish on JDMs. Pitty mine is so ugly. The interior is missing a few items as you can see... but I think all the fun parts under the bonnet more than make up for it
  7. why stop at a RB30E? Make it a carby one and get some serious.... anti... something... Yes a RB30E can go in a R32\33\34, and it'll go right on the skyline gearbox (i think) but you'll need the appropriate ECU, loom, all that. It's a lot of hard work for no gain. So unless you've got a Skyline with no engine and a VL commodore with a smashed up rear end, no money but plenty of tools, patience and time; I can't really see the point.
  8. Engine is finished now Only a week to get it Tuned and run in. Nick and Ben over at GT Garage are doing an amazing job and working their fingers to the bone in order to get it done before the weekend so I can go in the Tas Drift Festival. Some engine pron for you Super happy fun times await. Hopefully I can pull a decent slide in it; it'd be a little embarrassing if I couldn't
  9. oh and I've got the exhaust manifold too
  10. Turbo off an R33, was running fine when it was on the car but the water lines weren't connected when the car was turboed (car originally NA) so this turbo might not be long for this world, very little shaft play $140 3" Stainless Steel Dump pipe with separate pipe for wastegate. Good nick $170 3" High flow cat. Good nick $150 All prices negotiable. All items in Sandy Bay.
  11. I got a scruffy R33 for like $3500 and put a cage in it, check the build in my sig. You should keep the Landy and use it to tow your Track car
  12. I'm interested in this car but... what's with the Oregon plates and the steering wheel on the wrong side of the road?
  13. nice video I take it that this isn't your australian branch? http://www.neweraimports.com.au/
  14. I've got carpets for boot if you want them?
  15. any more details on that donk mate?
  16. YES! Just what I need! oh wait, I've got 2010 already....
  17. I got a TypeM plastic front end for it the other day from another member on here. Looks nice with the rest of the standard kit. I might see if I can get some new front guards to replace the ones on it as the drivers side has some damage on it. As for paint, white is OK for now, I'm trying to convince a mate of mine who is a very talented artist to airbrush it but he's rather nervous about it because he's not done a car before. Wheels I've got a set of 17" Gmax Drifts in white for it, might make them black though. White wheels on a white car... not so sure. I've also got the 17" that came on it, they're a little on the cheap\heavy side though. Yes it's a lot of money but it's also going to be a lot of fun Plus Nick at GT Garage is looking after me Thought it would be best to do it now while I've got some money before other stuff like houses and children come up.
  18. I've driven this car from the Docks in Hobart to Moonah and that was it; the engine integrity was too low to continue. Strut braces were already on the car when I go it so I guess I'll keep them, not sure what brand they are. I've got whiteline non-adjustable sways on my WRX and they totally transformed the car, the difference is day and night, knocked the understeer on the head and enabled me to get some nice turn in oversteer if I require it. Once this car is going I'll be sure to tell you all about it
  19. Almost finished now. Dummy fitted the engine, turbo and plenum so Az could work his magic on the front, dump, screamer. and IC piping. Did a fantastic job too High Mount Manifold made by Az Custom, should look the goods once it's painted! Can see the screamer in there too. Big ol Sexy front pipe. Plazmaman Plenum and Throttle body ready to go.
  20. My bad boy should be done this week sometime
  21. I think Dave.TAS is selling one. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/354862-fs-yellow-r32-skyline/
