  3. Ive never seen a hi-flow make 260rwkw?? GCGs hi-flow seems to be the biggest and will make at max 240rwkw (rb25 not rb20), but generally expect around 220-230rwkw. You do pay for it though!! Most hi-flows will get you around 20-30hp more atw and aren't worth their price tags from what ive seen!

  8. As i said in my PM Bl4cK32 im happy to take the turbo, just buzz me when its off the car. Anyone with any similar offers that have the turbo off the car is free to PM me aswell as cash can't exchange hands until he takes it off and is ready to send it to me!
  9. Im not looking to spend above $1000 to be honest which is why I put standard rb25 turbo in there as most hi-flows cost abit more!
  10. Looking for a replacement for my rb20 turbo which is slightly or a fair bit bigger than the 20 turbo! Not looking to spend alot as im simply replacing a blown turbo and it will only be a tuned on an safc! Any info can b directed to [email protected] Thanks all Jaz
  11. One of the bearings in the turbo has shat itself, the turbo was inspected for this and thats how they found it! The place i go to is a noted workshop and I have used them for years, plus im not buying the turbo off them anyway lol Bearing pushs against the compresser cover when coming onto too much boost which causes the horrible noise i hear! Its fine to drive off-boost for awhile until i get a new one but as you mentioned its not to do with the compresser/exhaust wheels on the turbo.

  14. I cant say as i drove it for say 2 minutes after i noticed it... As i said it seems to run fairly normal until it hits some decent boost (10ish psi) and then this howling noise comes outta no where lol Im pretty sure for that reason something is leaking, the car still makes the same boost levels (just takes more abit rpm) as the leak isn't huge but obviously noticeable...
  15. I did think of bov... but its hooked up after the stock bov so i doubt that would be the case! Ive had intercooler pipes blow off on my last car, i am only guessing this is held on by the factory clips but not quiet on properly so when too much pressure is built up it leaks? Btw craved ur cars hot lol

Hey peeps I was driving my car tonight, it was quiet cool so I was giving it some now and then, after a long drive on the freeway I stopped and then pulled away, i noticed a very loud sucking/induction noise coming out of the engine bay and a loss of power (but not boost level via boost gauge)... my only thoughts are that it may be loose intercooler piping or something along those lines? It was like a woooooshhhhh as the turbo built a decent amout of pressure Just a note i just had a dump/front/cat fitted about 3 days ago if that might have anything to do with it... I will have to go and check things out in day-time wen i have some light outside Any help would be appreciated! Thanks all Jazza
  17. Yes i understand that completely im just trying to show an example of how a free flowing exhaust will help boost levels come on earlier as that was what the original question was about Sorry if its useless information lol
  18. I make 15psi by 2900rpm in 5th gear! Thats a full exhaust system on an R32 GTST with standard turbo, before the exhaust it would of been more like 3500rpm for 10psi... Thats just an example of what a free flowing exhaust can do
  19. Id say fronts + cat + cat-back exhaust would be a 40-50rwhp difference? So your going to notice a shit load more power outta the rb26! Personally, those twin HKS style dumps are goin fairly cheap on the forum... id probably just grab some while your doing the rest
  20. Will bring your spooling time right down with some good hi-flowing dumps... If your changing the turbo's fairly soon then maybe you should do the dumps when you so them, but your exhaust is only as good as its least flowing part!
  21. Personally id never ever use the person who put that turbo on ur car without telling you that you HAVE to have an ecu to tune it with... most people dont like driving to the dyno place with a bigger un-tuned turbo on lol
  22. 3.5' mandrel bent would be even better with a turbo that size on an rb20, but get atleast the 3' as said
