  1. damn if it bolted up to a 3' dump i wud of taken it! free bump good deal
  2. Ahh thats awsome, nobody wud suspect a GTR engine if u pulled up next to it! And its in WA.. woot lol
  3. got one, thanks all
  4. Sorry im not 100% on that one I thought u were able to use ur current afm/injectors and even ECU with an r33 turbo on an rb20 and it would run fine??? Obviously if u hi-flowed it and cranked boost it u will need to upgrade afm/injectors but at lower boost levels i thought it wud make more power than an rb20 turbo but still run on ur standard ECU? I know your current dump on ur rb20 engine will bolt straight up to the r33 turbo..
  5. Dont forget you will have to tune a GTRS alot more than an r33 turbo... you can plug a 33 turbo on and run the car fine from my understanding! To properly tune a GTRS ull need a new ECU, injectors etc etc You could get abit more punch from an r33 turbo and keep your system setup as it was before the turbo. Obviously if you want major power go the GTRS and ull need those extras in the end anyway
  6. Im 99% sure there were series 1.5's, these came wit some features of series 2 (things like HICAS etc dont quote me what exactly) and a series 2 wing, but had series 1 interior (nicer seats) and series 1 headlights. My old man has one you see... Didnt expect turbo hi-flowing to cost $1900.. damn lol Any R32-R34 turbo will bolt onto any of the other models! Sure some may have small modifications but nothing major
  7. cant just accept anything hehe, i know HKS make kits to suit the engines (sr20 and rb20/25 are common). How much approx does it cost to rebuild and hi-flow a turbo btw??
  8. Generally they go for about $100! If you know who has one let me know
  9. I dun think this was a NEW STI vs R34 GTR topic.. lol He is curious about a R33 gtst and a 1999 WRX. Mind u i did enjoy that read, good info
  10. As title states wanting a blown rb25 turbo with all the bits Email me at [email protected] Not interested in a good condition one as i want to rebuild and hi-flow it later Thanks Jaz
  11. mmm ok maybe ill wait till i can get the power fc + some injectors and tune it properly then.. Thanks TJ Still interested in power figures etc peeps
  12. Hey peeps Had a search around and wanted to know what people thought of these two turbos. Noticed the 2540 was laggy even on an rb25 so is out of the question for an rb20. Choices are HKS GT2530, GT2535 or maybe GTS-R (dont know much about this turbo though...)?? Even thought about hi-flowing an rb25 turbo, but dont think it will get over 300rwhp and last too long on that power... Will be running with a stock ECU for a short while until i can afford a power FC. Looking for a turbo can could stretch to maybe 320rwhp (once tuned etc) but i want good decent responce levels rather than major top end.. as it will still be on the street! What sort of boost levels can these turbos run happily? And last major question, with additional mods what kind of power will the rb20 make with these turbos? Any help would be appreciated Thanks
  13. WRX through the first 2 gears then the Skyline would EAT it easy. Modified vs modified just makes things easier for the Skyline... WRXs are not very fast cars, only good for 0-100 due to their awsome awd system. Straight lines are not what WRXs are made for, a roll on in any gear the rb25 (even rb20 in an r32) will spit on the rex when both are similar modified!
  14. Wat kinda power can this thing make atw?
  15. R32 GTR style bonnet (with the common large backwards facing vent in the middle)... R32 GTR grill Those would be cool
  16. My mate has the Greddy boost controller installed and the screen to show boost levels etc. On 7 psi it can go up to 11psi, and on 14psi it can get to 15psi and aslow as 10psi (in lower gears of course). I think somethings hooked up wrong because even playing with the settings does little to help get control of the boost... but if its not hooked up wrong it aint too crash hot of a controller!
  17. Just follow the piping and check the clamps
  18. Hey peeps Looking for SS Split dump pipe and front pipe, want 3' mandrel bent for the front pipe. Willing to buy them seperatly! Thanks all Regards Jazza
  19. thats the responce i was looking for So you think a split dump and a split front pipe would be best? Most offer a split dump which then runs into the front pipe, is that ok?
  20. Thanks Dave, thought split was better... anyone else further his point?
  21. Was in a xr6 turbo stock standard and wasnt too impressed... But it did have a sweet as (premium) brake package! Sound system was probably better than the R34s aswell, something Japanese cars dont tend to focus on lol If it was me it wouldnt be a decision, the r34 looks sooooo much nicer and you dont see them all over the place either. If you really wanted a FAST straight line car then maybe go the xr6 turbo coz it will cost less to do low times but if u want a package then go the Skyline.. It'll always handle much better and look better. Remember the Ford is a family car and the R34 (even in 4 door form) is a sports car. Go the Skyline I know they turn my head over Xr6 turbos!
