  1. Traction Tyres have been really good for all my suspension work, both the GT-T and R the installation i would imagine can be done anywhere, but the alignment is what you want to make sure is done properly. Traction Tyres is in rowville, but probably only 30mins from moorabbin. Straight down north/wellington rd, turn left at stud i think, right into Kellets. you're there. They look after a lot of SAU cars
  2. i've actually got a 32/33 one modified by them - turns out they DON'T fit 34's unlike what some people say Transfers power to front wheels quicker, gives you better drive out of corners etc - couple it with a torque split controller for ultimate awesome-ness! absolute grip central
  3. i had a google map-see but nothing really interesting stood out... not sure if i had a look at Lancefield/Sunbury though.... Macedon was.... kinda crappy. Went through from the top (north), super short little hill climb and that was it, then pretty straight back down south to the calder Enjoying Racepace transfer case though
  4. ok, so you go sort of 'around' the mountain, and take the Mt Macedon rd from the north and drive back south? is there like a look-out or something you could be up there for sunset?
  5. so would you just head up calder and turn off at Mount Macedon Rd and just drive that forward and backwards?
  6. hi all, never managed to get onto one of the Mount Macedon cruises and i might be around that way (well within 20-30mins of it) tomorrow and wondering are the good roads just the drive to Mount Macedon itself? Or is it just the general area has good roads? Google maps doesn't seem to show a huge amount of good twisties going on, but g maps can be a little deceiving i found an old cruise thread mentioning Yea, but not really planning on travelling that far. thanks! chinny
  7. pretty sure it's the sport. If you're running E85 i believe edge sport is the one you should really run (SN spec), otherwise i don't think it matters too much as long as you have the correct weight/viscosity. Given your username and you said GTR, i'd go with the 10w60 Edge.
  8. what car? application? EDIT: 34GeeTeeTee seems to have mentioned what it's being run with. what are the new FC's like?
  9. Stao, i'll PM you my ultimate setup Super high compression 26 pistons to allow for the upgraded V-cam gear (more timing advancement) Chequered Tuning V-Cam Twin Hypergear 2530 VNT's E85 add boost bah!!! soooo tempted...
  10. it's weird, my united only ever really varied from 82-85 - haven't driven the car for like 3 months, so not sure what's happening at the moment... and caltex when i was using it was always bang on 70
  11. interesting... could you advise on a price please? PM if you want. would it be worth doing a ceramic bearing change at the same time? were the VNT units that you were testing ceramic rollers?
  12. sorry, could be stupid question.... if we could make a twin low-mount VNT RB26 setup work, would you modify my HKS 2530's or would i need completely new units?
  13. anything post late 80's/early 90's should be fine... and that's for E85, so E10 is completely fine - i changed fark all with my 98 GT-T that ran E85 for years with stock everything, except a drop-in walbro and high-flowed standard injectors. Nothing ethanol specific, no issues what-so-ever and the same for the new owner who also runs it on E85
  14. Adz, i reckon your sards will be fine. But your tuner is probably the best person to answer that. probably best to change just for newer tech anyway, but as for size if they're 800-850 i'd save the coin
  15. hmmm... i was kind hoping for GTSS like response, 2530 power... i'll dig back through the thread, i must admit, i did kinda skip to the end
  16. wonder if there are any results floating around at gtr.co.uk - will have to have a dig 1100 pounds though... each. yikes. less 20% but still... in the old money... would these be classified as bigger than 2530/-5's?
  17. could be stupid question.... would there be a twin low-mount option for an RB26 with these HTA turbos?
  18. certainly come a long way from my OP6 highflow on my GT-T, well done mate could VNT fit/work in a twin low-mount setup on a RB26?? currently running 2 x HKS 2530s... not sure if some frankenstein setup could be made of current turbos?
  19. haven't locked down a supplier for the flange yet i'll shoot you a PM
  20. hi all, hope everyone is well... been away for a while. hoping someone might know someone in melb who can weld Ti? Just a flange i need to sort out, nothing super tricky. Finding a 3.5" flange is a little tricky, but i think i've got some decent leads there, just need for the damn thing to be stuck on I've tried Havoc, but i think he's super busy at the moment, so i'll keep trying him but all ears if anyone else could put a Ti flange on a Ti catback. cheers, chinny
  21. i've been doing UOA"s on Edge 10w60 (FYI Paul) and there has been no issues.
  22. wins the internet actually been meaning to PM you, do you have any pics of your Z-tune diffuser off the car by any chance? or an underside pic perhaps when it's been on a hoist? interested to see the difference between the normal and Z-tune diffusers
  23. have done some UOA's with the 10w60 Edge, nothing out of the ordinary to report - got another batch ready to send off. as long as you find an oil that meets the current specs (mentioned a few pages back) i can't see there really being a problem
  24. 19 yr old stock 26?! fair effort... plenty more knowledgeable people in this thread than me, but IMO, i'd definitely go a thicker oil.
