  1. it's a good oil but stock motor yeah? how old? - just don't think 10/40 is thick enough for these old 26's. They need the Nismo/Motul 15/50 or Edge 10w60 imo, i'd try some Edge 10w60 and see how you go
  2. doesn't look like you're running much camber from those pics??
  3. but this car is in Melb??? and has been for a while and i'm pretty sure it has an Omori plate in there somewhere - pretty sure it's legit
  4. hahaha, i remember that... you were getting stuffed around by some dude weren't you? some parts that i had sold?
  5. Hey Joe *wanders off to Hendrix dream land* my LM-GT4's are 10.5 +15, -3 front, -1.5'ish rear. 285/30 all around, no rubbing and guards are not rolled. No issues at this stage with my ride height etc. Not sure if having very stiff suspension and all my suspension work has anything to do with that.... The 10.5 +15 is fine for GTR's... what we need to know is how fine can it go with spacers Anthony... that's what i was saying above... in some angles, the rear look pretty flush, but as we all know, this rim size still sits in a little on 34 R's.
  6. bear in mind i'm running about -2.5 all around in these pics. i've since put in Cusco adj camber arms all around, the rear is about -1 or -1.5 but the fronts for some reason can't go below -3 - turn-in is great but yeah, not super street friendly some angles they look more flush Haven't measure what sized space i might run though. But at the moment, the rears have less camber than these pics and the front might have more. Rears i could probably get pretty flush, the fronts on the other hand... with -3... could be a bit of an issue without going crazy
  7. hi all, not making money off this and want to offer it to Vic peeps first. I have about 3 months left of a Good Life gym membership that's only $27 a fortnight. It's pretty much as cheap as it's going to get and it seems the person who set it up missed a few things, in that it can carry on at that rate AND be used at any Good Life in Oz (it should have been restricted to melb/vic) $50 transfer to someone else, and that's it, it's yours to be used anywhere in Australia. Vic first but if not much interest i'll post generally here, gumtree etc Once it runs out, that's it. Apparently can't get this rate back. cheers, daniel
  8. is that $27k??? where are you and where is this place?
  9. do you have to have red as the colour behind the lens? or can it be anything? always wondered what the lights more 'blacked out' would look like...
  10. DarkChild has been at this game for a long time know, definitely knows what he's doing A very well known 34 R, one of the original Stormtrooper 34R's really - inspired tangomatts 34 to a large degree - well played, well played
  11. that sorta brings up sometime i wanted to ask.... do those cooling panels/diversion plates make much of a difference? thinking bout getting one of those CF ones across the front, between the headlight
  12. hahaha, was searching for real world pics of the new(ish) silver/black font plates and found this in google images yours for $5000! http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/melbourne-region/other-parts-accessories/nekmnt-number-plates-vic/1010328399 i know Vu's old car had the gold font on black background, but has anyone seen/got the silver font on black background? is it metallic or flat silver? interested to see some examples...
  13. yeah, it's just bolts - but you'll probably have to get some boot carpet out of the way and i'm pretty sure you have to take off the plastic cover around the boot latch. That lets you get to some screw things that keep the carpet in place. Once the carpet is out of the way, should be straight forward from there. The only fiddly bit i found was when i put it back in (new lights) to tuck all the new wiring out of the way, so i could screw/bolt it all back in. Took a little fiddling to make sure the wiring was tuck away in some free space.
  14. i am possibly the least DIY skyline owner, but i managed to change mine... so if i can, i'm sure you'll be fine are you changing the entire light assembly minus the outside covering/surround (the painted body colour bit)?
  15. my old car has seen close to 5 years of constant E85 use with a drop-in Walbro (GT-T, walbro would be '07 vintage) no issues from that either. i think the 'E85 specific' pumps might be a bit of marketing, with some minor changes
  16. to be honest, i think all pumps are fine with E85, it's just capacity that you have to worry about i'm using a drop-in Nismo pump that's probably been in the car since... early 2000's? no issues with fueling on E85 for nearly 2 years now.
  17. 68-70 water temps for a V8 supercar in race conditions? that's impressive... and you're saying you can achieve similar with road cars in track conditions?
  18. yeah, was brutal sounding on the front straight! should have tried to get a passenger lap
  19. run exact same one in my GTR for last 1.5 years, works like a charm (Link G4 needed a pull-up resistor from memory)
  20. wtf richo!! i'm freakin out about being black flagged for taking turn 1 too hot etc and you're gallavanting around sideways!! hahahahah - i guess they know you, how you can drive etc... Was a brilliant day combining social and motorsport together, great concept SAU should definitely have a crack or perhaps get WRX club to do more days like it. I was garaged next to Henry from Cosmic Performance? (Cosmic was at least in the name) - really nice guy, always helps having a tuner right next to you - had a boost controller question with my EVC, jumped in, beep beep beep, all done and fixed Also went passenger in his standard WRX but with big brakes, great handling little car out of the box and his brake upgrade was fantastic. A kit he developed. Also went passenger in Paul's R34....... my word............ GRIP! I know it's a tarmac rally car but seriously, the turn-in on that thing was off the charts! The amount of cornering speed it could carry was just ridiculous, and it still felt quite settled, definitely seemed like you could throw more at it depending on the size of ones balls - brakes were obviously fantastic as well, just an amazing package all round. Huge thanks for Paul for a passenger lap at the end of the day. Happy with how my car went, even though i wasn't pushing it. I'd just putt putt around the corners and just mash it on the straights - for those wondering about front/back straight speeds (discussion in another thread) i was getting to around 240 before i chickened out to brake Thanks to Aaron for tool borrowage as well
  21. i've got 2 x NIsmo AFM's if you want good to hear you made the switch though, E85 ftmfw!
