  1. Opps i misread thought these were RE30 when i posted that, sorry. The CE28N's are awesome wheels as well! Very good price for these, and if you did order them new they would take 6 months to make and deliver!
  2. RE30's are one of the lightest/strongest wheels going around Same weight as the TE37 but 30% stronger.
  3. Yeah it's fine. It may scrub a little tyre on inner plastic, but haven't really noticed... I guess it depends on your suspension geometry as well.
  4. GTR's have to run same all the way around. 265's are too baggy on a 9" wide rim I don't recommend it, you get too much sidewall movement. Don't even bother with 275. Rwd gain a bit of off the line traction with baggyness, but being a GTR you have 4wd so you don't need that, what you would prefer is less movement from the tyre for more responsive handling. Stick to original 245 or you can go up to 255 if you want. I've run 245,255 and 265 on my 34GTR rims.... so this is from experience. As for gutter rash, just be extra careful around gutters For a reasonably priced ok performing tyre, have a look at the hankook k104's - they come in 255... probably around 1000-1200 for a set.
  5. Not sure if you are talking to me stasis. But I run 18x10.5" front and rear.
  6. That's a nice story but it doesn't have anything to do with which is 'better' Which is what this thread is about But i agree with you "all of them are great".
  7. Yeah, what do you want to know? feel the same as 265's on 10.5"... sidewall was a bit thin on the 285 compared to 265.. but both are fine.
  8. Neither me or anyone else here said anything about money or value I'm just putting the facts out there about what is 'better'. And when you break it down, most of the time the newer is 'better'. Of course styling is personal preference - neither is 'better'.
  9. I'll copy paste this from another thread. 32/33/34 GTRs are all great cars. But newer is usually better, when it comes to performance that is. GTR fits into this generalisation. If you want to talk about styling, they all look good, and it comes down to personal preference. But when talking about performance: Engine. 34 > 33 > 32. ATTESA 34 > 33 > 32. Suspension Setup 34/33 > 32. (34 was built to be more friendly on tyres from factory, but very similar to 33. Seats 34 > 33 > 32. Wheels 34 > 33 > 32. Brakes 34 > 33 > 32 (32vspec same as 33) Weight 32 > 33 > 34 (Lighter is better) I could go on. So All those who are claiming the 32 is the best, assuming you're not talking about styling here - because we don't buy GTR's for their styling, we buy them for their performance right? What exactly is it that makes 32's so much better than 33s? or 34s? I said it above, i'll say it again, All 3 Models of GTR are great cars.
  10. We do track days at calder as well. But i prefer not to go to calder days, it's my last pick of the 4 tracks in vic.
  11. Don't try this at home kids, look what happened when Justin did.
  12. Dude that was over 2 years ago, you need to look at dates in threads before you post!!! haha
  13. I wish our track days only cost $65. You drag bitches have it cheap.
  14. avi is just a container, mpeg4 is the codec/compression format. You can have mpeg4 inside avi (divx/xvid)... What are you trying to convert it to play on?
  15. Would they fit in the rear parcel shelf of an R33? My rear speakers just split/came apart, think with all the heat recently. Crap sony ones that came with the car, i just never bothered changing them since rear speakers don't do much. Wouldn't mind getting something to give me a bit of mid-bass on the rear parcel shelf....
  16. first of all the word 'investing' probably isn't the right word to use when buying a car As for the km's, ignore them, they don't mean anything, 99% of imports are wound back and made up log books etc. Look at the condition of the car. Look for common wear marks. If it really has 40,000ks then the car will look brand new, there probably wouldn't be a mark on the interior and it should still have that new car smell Look for wear on the steering wheel, the gearstick boot, the gear knob, the seats, the indicator stalk, the pedals, etc... Get it checked out by someone familiar with GTR's.
  17. What the hell are you talking about Abo!?!? Of course an Oil cooler will help. Anyone who takes a GTR out on the track without an oil cooler is asking for trouble. Make sure it's ducted as well. Try to keep oil temps below 120-130. Try to keep water temps below 100. Hitting water temps of 115 - that's pretty hot, you could have done damage to the head gasket, which in turn will make your heating issues worse.
  18. Yeah the photographer of that photo is a champ, on his fully sick phone camera haha.
  19. Did you add them to that trackday site/forum thingie?
  20. That's interesting, because if you are talking about the 4x100 jaycar digital amp, it should be much more efficient than a non-digital amp.
  21. Semi's also overheat in a 20min session and go off.
  22. I just put a Pioneer DEH-7950UB into rushs car. She seems happy with it, can control an iPod or just play mp3's straight from a usb memory stick. The problem with most of the usb headunits is the usb port is in the front, which is retarded. Who wants an ugly usb stick sticking out of the front of thier headunit? How long till you go to change gear and knock it and snap it off in there. Seriously whos idea was it to put a front usb port on a head unit. Anyways this Pioneer one has a rear usb port, with an extension cable. I just ran that into her ashtray below so she can just open ashtray, plug in usb, close astray, nice and clean, no chance of snapping the usb key off in the headunit. It doesn't have bluetooth standard but you can get an addon module for it for bluetooth.
  23. Pretty good, I'm impressed!
  24. I'm actually after the stock rubber bushes that go into the front uprights, my whiteline stuff has started squeeking/making noise when cold, very annoying. I've been told its a pain to change them back, nissan don't sell the bushes by themselves you have to buy the whole upright.
  25. Take your car to a good GTR workshop and get them to give you advice and do the work, or your going to end up with a very big repair bill.
