  1. Your grandma drives a Gtst? hahah wow that's interesting. I didn't think gtst's had g-force sensors, only GTRs. PaulR33 on here knows a bit about the A-LSD on the gtst.
  2. Think of all the spare parts we will be able to buy in a few years when these american kids write off their GTR Half cuts anyone? Free trade agreement between aus and usa?
  3. "Would/Could you drive it to work everyday?" Yes = street car, No = Race car
  4. Depends on the tyre, different tyres sit differently and one 275 may be wider than another 275. I agree with Ronin... 265 or 275 on a 9.5" I think a 275 may risk being a bit baggy.

    Thanks....

Yep, everything Ant said - I'm not sure if it's just because it ours, but it seems as though the Vic club is the best/most active and maybe we take it for granted! I'm sure the club-s**t (Ant) Could give us a comparison! SAU VIC FTW!
  6. Sorry I meant Victoria, not Australia. official distributor for Victoria.
  7. A good cutting compound/paint cleaner usually does the job, lots of rubbing, or a buffer.
  8. Anywhere that sells and fits them should be able to do it, but if you want to take it to a specialist, craig from trackside tyres should be able to help. He's the official distributor of RE55 in Australia, but be prepared to cop an earful about not buying those tyres from him
  9. Obviously a scam. They usually find a number that is always engaged to use on the advertisement.
  10. You can change the parkers with the headlight in, just a bit of fiddling around, and a smaller hand can be useful. I've done it more than once.
  11. What's your project car? What power? What weight?
  12. I can't remember when we changed mine over, but just to make sure - we defiantly had to remove the front bar... (in case you are trying to remove them without doing so).
  13. Well gearing and power band can also have something to do with it, having said that i imagine the Porsche power band would be just as good if not better than the GTR. But yes cans can be geared for acceleration or cruise. Not sure what the gearing difference is between them both.
  14. How about a class for people who drive their car to work everyday? Actually don't bother I win that already But yeah I agree with snowys classifications above. Jack, Aaron, Snowy, Scotsman etc.. similar cars to mine, and I manage to drive it to work everyday.
  15. No. They are usually 400R front bars that have side vents, but the car you posted a pic of is scotsmans, that's not a 400R bar either, dunno what it is, but it's not standard.
  16. That and the Porsche are a manual box with a clutch. The GTR is DSG, it can change gears much quicker, which in turn will keep boost pressure between gearshifts and pull away.
  17. Perfect example - i'd never met Ronin before, but he came up and introduced himself and we had a good chat. Gotta remember most people are probably as shy as you. If you did walk up to a group and tried to join in the convo and were ridiculed/abused (which would never happen) then you would defiantly have something to complain about. I always find a good conversation stater at these events is "so which one is your car"... ask questions about what they've done, how long they've had it, if they've been to these events before, do they know anyone else here etc.... and usually you'll get the same questions back
  18. I used mine at winton, think it may have blocked a bit of heat, one side of them is scorched the other isn't.... As for how much difference they really hard, it's hard to say. For $80 i'm not going to complain.
  19. To all of those people who i paid to vote for me, I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!
  20. hahahah nice one dude! Maybe you can be the presenter for SBS's new topgear program, quick someone start a petition before they hire some nitwit who is as boring to watch as cricket! Also, you forgot to mention how white Hammonds teath are Anyways off to watch the latest episode of TopGear.... yay for the interweb.
  21. bah there is a couple of track days left in those at least! Only the last one looks a bit worn, the other 3 look fine
  22. You can just unclip the harness when not in use and remove it completely. That's what i do. Fit it for track days, remove it after. the eye bolts hold the standard belt in place same as the stock bolts.
  23. Doesn't work that way, you can't adjust springrates via a controller. All you are adjusting is the shocks... there is only so much adjustment in shocks you can make, and then it still has to be withing the range for it to work properly with the spring. Just leave it, They put a lot of R&D into it for the last x years, to get where they are now, you can't expect that it can just be changed for such a small market and still be as good. If anyone wants comfort, then perhaps they need to look for an alternative.
  24. Stop using that armorall crap on your dash, anything that makes it shiny will make it reflect, just clean it by wiping over it with damp (water) cloth/chamois.
  25. If you lower it much more than that, you're going to lose some of the handling. If you prefer looks over performance then hey go for it
