Anyone driven on them? How do they go in the dry/wet? 275 is a bit fat to put on 9" wide rims isn't it? Are you running 9.5" rims wrxhoon?

IOWNU: I'd probbaly agree with Geoffs comments... but yeah you can still come down to say hi on sunday and see what the track is all about, there will be a certain White R33 GTR there that i promise will impress you

Speeding Camera - question, multiple lanes..
ferni replied to Gizmo73's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Not sure what its like in NSW, but down here if there is more than 1 car in the photo then you can't be booked since they have no certain way to tell which car is speeding. -
Yeah i made the same choice when i bough my GTR, i went for the 33GTR instead of GTT and i don't regret it. personal choice tho. I have exaust, cam gears and run about 1bar boost, i run about 270rwkw and the one time i did go to the drag strip i ran 12.4... traction was bad on the day, i recon i could knock another couple of 1/10ths off with a better day... but my car is daily driven, and i take it to the track (circuit) a few times a year.. To get a 34GTT into the mid 12's? not sure ask someone whos done it, i don't know of any GTT's in the mid 12s for a 33GTR you're probbaly looking 30-50k, GTT not sure guessing around 30-35k? Spending 40k on a car is a lot of money - you should go check out both GTT and GTR in the flesh and drive both if you can before spending your hard earned $.

DIRTgarage is Paul&Stacey (who are selling this clutch) PM them, or wait till they reply to this thread. Sorry no number for them Not sure about the oil pump - find the part number and get your local nissan dealer to order you one in?
-
Yeah i'm up for it leewah. Ni: the no limit tourny is a buy in, say $50 of say 10 people, gives $500 prize money, usually split between 1st 2nd 3rd place... 'play' chips are used in the game.. so you may start with say $1000 play chips each...
-
Yeah i'd be up for a game leewah, just let me know where and when

I'm assuming your running a GTR? All clutches aren't built the same(hence why Jim gets such a good rep around here) if you want a multi plate, go for it - but i think the proof is right there - DIRTgarage running the same clutch (as a drag car) with 450rwkw+ I think Paul and Stacey may be able to expand on this a little But they aren't selling this to make a profit, they just have it left over.
-
As long as your still running a pull type clutch in your GTR it will fit straight in. Where did you get your exedy clutch? I thought they were only around 2500lb of pressure on the exedys.... Regardless if DIRTgarage are running it on thier car (450rwkw+) then it should be fine in yours yeah?

Pro series Power FC plus hand controller
ferni replied to slyr33's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
What model car? -
I'll take a guess at answering these questions but don't take my word for it. Single plate, probably around 3300-3400 pounds clamping pressure. Probably rebuilt from a standard GTR clutch (or maybe a excedy HD clutch) HP hard to say, If its the same clutch that DIRTgarage use it, they run over 400rwkw Hope this helps (and hope its right )

No road license needed to race on the track, just a CAMS license Get someone else to drive you there, jump in your car and go for it

the basic side of card counting with blackjack is if the deck has lots of 10s/face cards in it, it sways the favour to the player, if the deck doesn't have many 10's/face cards in it, then favour swings to banker... So your not counting every card, just trying to keep track roughly of how many 10's/face cards/aces come out compared to other cards.
-
GTT is the same as your Gtst ( with a little better engine)... so how hard do you think it would of been to get your gtst into the 12/11s? 12's i'm sure you could do, 11's is a big step ... much easier to get to in a GTR... Its up to you
-
AHhh now it makes sense waht you said in the other thread about roulette being ok odds.. the odds themselves aren't good, but by reading the way the dealer is spinning the ball you can increase your chances... nice You'll have to teach me that one. I can play basic blackjack, and understand how basic card counting works but haven't had enough practice.. starting playing texas no limit holdem tournies online recently (just play money so far), not bad, enjoying it.

Depending on the size of your battery you could slip it out above the strut brace.. i can get mine out/in like that (gotta tip it sideways)... if you have a bigger battery you'll have to take the strut brace off. Did it once, can't remembe rit being to hard - you'll be fine. Its to help stop the body flexing not to hold it in place.

R33 GTR - Clutch/Flywheel kit recommendations?
ferni replied to Blitz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
but doesnt torque = horsepower X rpm / 5250 ?? Nick: thats what my twin plate felt like for the first couple of months.. You said it doesn't rattle or whine - did your old clutch? was it just a HD single? -
I'm not one to argue with SK, but i would of assumed gibsons qualifying full slicks would of been a better tyre than todays semi slicks? Plus theres the proffesional driver part. How much did the gibson 32 weigh? even with the extra ballest im guessing less than the racepace GTR... but point taken about the no limits thing. SK: what do you have to say about that dyno graph above?

R33 GTR - Clutch/Flywheel kit recommendations?
ferni replied to Blitz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Cool thanks for the info - Interested to see how you like your clutch Nick - give it a couple of months before making final judgement, my twin felt great when i first put it in, then after a couple of months didn't feel so good, i'm going back to a single. Also if you end up changing the slave cyl to the nismo one, let me know what difference it makes. -
True, but you also have to remember the gibson GTR was on full qualifying slicks, stripped out, race preped... also driven by a profesional driver. Have you ever spoken to eric? I haven't but quite a few people tell me he's very arrogent, so i wouldn't hold your breath on him coming down to a meeting.
-
And if anyone knows its Leewah Yeah baccarat is suppose to be the easiest to swing in your favour, but i've never played it.. only BJ and now started to play around with texas hold 'em, mainly the sit and go tournys.

R33 GTR - Clutch/Flywheel kit recommendations?
ferni replied to Blitz's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Whats the Nismo larger clutch operating cylinder all about? are you talking about a master/slave cylinder? How much are they worth, what are they ment to do? Edit: ok quick search shows its a slave cylinder - what benifits does it provide over a normal slave? Edit2: Ok bit more searching tells me "When using with NISMO racing clutch kit, this product changes heavy clutch pedal feeling to lighter feeling. Bigger cylinder diameter (20.54mm) comparing with standard one (19.05mm) enables you to control clutch pedal much easier. Best matched with NISMO racing clutch series." So how is it different using it with a nismo clutch rather than any other clutch? Correct me if i'm wrong but it will just make the pedal lighter, its nog going to actually make the clutch less on/off? -
This isn't a go at you mate, just a comment. Anyone know what the fastest lap Eric's Gibson GTR ran around Sandown? 1.15.7 on qualifying trim and tyres - for those who don't know, qualifying trim they usually run fastest. Anyone know what bens quickest time around Sandown is? 1.15.0 flat. Difference is Bens car isn't stripped out, isn't running slicks, but its a street car. Do you know what times hypertechs cars run around sandown club days these days? Nothing under the 1.20's as far as i know....
