Don't lighten the flywheel, makes driving in traffic a pain in the ass, car 'struggles' under 2,000rpm. I changed back to a std flywheel and am much happier now. I have a jim berry clutch, can't fault it yet, so definatly go for one of his. He machined my std flywheel as well. As for thrust, get a genunine one from nissan, the UAS ones are overrated i recon, i've been told the std ones are stronger/better. Definatly change the thrust is only $45 or something.

Just take the forums down for a couple of hours, surely we can survive that

spinning it with your hand would be alot slower than it spins when being pushed by exaust gas. Also doing it once or twice with your fingers wouldnt matter, but doing it everytime you turn your car off, can't be good for it?

Rhett: Good to hear, i did the whole snowboarding thing in the states for 3 years, its awesome fun, you'll want to go back again next year Buy stuff when your over there, its cheaper, just order it off the net, thats what i did, just means you'll miss out using it traveling there. Use an old discman or something if you have one on the way there... then pick up a ipod/mp3 player/minidisc or something while your there. I ordered so much shit off the net when i was there because theres so much of it! hah riding (snowboarding) with music is good if theres no one to ride with, but most days you'll find someone to ride with. ok just compared a couple of prices from msy to empire, seems empire is a bit cheaper now.

So he revs it up, spins the turbo up and turns off the ignition which shuts off the oil pump/feed. Wow, really smart, hope he doesn't expect his turbo to last long

I'm still going to say buy a GTR, but that out of the way, heres what little i know. The gearbox internals are pretty much the same, just the R32 GTR's are push type (except for the very late ones) and the R33 GTR's are pull type clutch. No idea about shafts/diffs etc... The engine isn't exactly the same, the few differences i know of are turbos, intercooler and oil pump as well i think. Also the ATTESA computer was different, it checks more often in the 33, and even more again in 33 vspec. Big job, good luck

Check the back of the Headunit for a switch to output via RCA instead of line level (speaker) outputs.

check for volts on the RCA's coming from your HU.. with music turned up you should be able to see a couple of volts or so on the RCA's

Brand new gearbox, 100ks later it was making that whining noise. had it pulled apart after 10,000ks, nothing wrong with bearings, but there were score marks all over the input cluster gears!!!
