  1. haha don't let her play!!!, this is rush at the poker table: "all in" "shit haven't looked at my cards yet" then "show me what you've got, im already out" hahah
  2. Could be the bearings, or could be the gears are scored. Just keep driving it, if it blows, chuck another 2nd hand one in
  3. From what i notice, even when the climate control is off, you can adjust the temp by pressing up and down. It also seems to 'leak' air into the cabin at whatever temp you have it set to like you say... But usually if i leave it on 18 hot air doesnt' come in.. if i leave it on 25 hot air does come in etc...
  4. I'm in depending on day/night its on ... Player: 1. Leewah 2. Jamezilla 3. cole_trx 4. linxus40 5. ferni 6. 7. 8. 9. 10. etc.
  5. yeah was ment to go there a few months ago but something came up and we didn't get around to it
  6. My gf has a R33 GTS (non turbo) 2.5litre My old car was a VR Calais 3.8litre v6... i had exaust/air filter etc... she has exaust air filter.. My calais was a tiny bit quicker than hers from when we both gunned it, but it was pretty close , and my calais was pretty quick compared to other v6 commodores around, quicker than my parents stock VT v6 at the time.... So it would be pretty close.
  7. GT-SS turbos would be much better than the N1s, the turbo kit from nengun comes with everything you need. You can change the dump pipes if you want. Not sure how much effect it has on tuning.
  8. ahhaha so it would be like hockey with a soccer ball and cricket bats!!
  9. I'm confused, are people really trying to argue thier GTSt is better than a GTR? which part? the RB25 vs RB26? The traction and handling of a GTR vs GTS? Only advantage i can think of for GTS is the weight.
  10. If you guys play cricket, i'll fall asleep!
  11. Off topic: are you zardos from shafted lans? Guessing not... nice car
  12. AWD isn't the only difference between a GTR and a XR6T in terms of performance
  13. i have exaust and front pipes, stock airbox with panel filter, and i still have to bleed air out of the vacuum to get my 1.1bar.
  14. yeah just removing the restricter should be fine, its only when boosting the turbos higher than that you get into trouble.
  15. xnews is a decent freeware one.. benm: whats the diff between the limited and unlimted accounts? just limited can do faster speeds? what speed do you get on your unlimited account?
  16. Leewah runs 600+ rwkw with standard blow off valve. Don't change them.
  17. How can the clutch rub against the side of the foot well? or do you mean clutch pedal? Sounds pretty stuffed, stay away from the car no matter how cheap it is, will cause nothing but trouble.
  18. Yeah i have no problems with ABC, and development is a little slow, but friends have had trouble and switched to another client. When i have trouble with it, i'll switch. IRC, i get frustrated with the queues, then you get disconnected and have to resume and get back in the queue etc... still a good source of stuff... but as mentioned above - newsgroups is the quickest/best but you gotta pay.
  19. I've recently changed from a twin plate to a jim berry single at around the cost your talking - if you supply him with your standard gtr pressure plate and flywheel it might make it a little cheaper. Only been driving the clutch for and whatever you do make sure you get a sprung centre, do not get a solid centre, or you'll be up for a new gearbox The other clutch to try is an Extreme clutch from adelaide clutchs, i've heard they are ok as well.
  20. How many GTR's do you have rick!?!?
  21. I've been running around 1-1.1bar on my stock 33GTR turbos for 18months or so, it came like that from the previous owner, so who knows how long before that he was running it. By just removing the restricter you won't get 1 bar, a little under, and if you dont have a full exaust then a little less once again. I'd remove it if i were you. But everything lwells said is right - the turbos could be tired and they could let go, this will just speed up the process of them letting go... If you don't remove the restricter they may last 12 months, if you do remove it they may only last 6months etc... its up to you. The biggest thing to worry about is if they do let go, the exaust wheels getting sucked back into the engine and damaging pistons.... so if you hear a bang, keep your foot to the floor so the exaust wheel gets blown out the exaust
  22. Its rolling diam that you want the same all around other wise will cause your front torque to be on all the time. Most people with GTR's stick to same size rim/tyre all the way around.
  23. If your new to imports a word of advice, pay no attention to km's on the cars, nearly all Jap cars are wound back before being sold to us Pay attention to the condition of the whole car, seats, steering wheel, handbrake boots, brake/clutch/acel pedals.
  24. Twin plates rattle a little when you push the clutch in (disengaged).. the plates are loose so the vibrations from the engine/input shaft can cause them to rattle a little. It could also be your thrust bearing if its whining a bit. Nothing to worry about.
  25. Just do it on a 'you break it you fix it' Geoff
