I recon a mini could do those circuits (from the vids above) quicker than our big jap cars could haha, would be interesting. http://stuff.ferni.net/mini.wmv
For sure, its good to see side by side shootout vs normal dyno sheet... Would of been good to get Ben to also do another run with the IT temp sensor stuck inside the pod filter at 50deg or something stupid
Looking forward to the ride... hopefully the cooler pipes stay on this time - did you get them fixed up?
Wow, thats some serious power, now to put in your sig '400kw@wheels' just to make sure people know your wang is big. j/k
Good to see real word differences between normal mode and shootout mode on bens dyno.
If there is no moisture in your car then it shouldn't fog up, usually if your windscreen is fogging up its because there is moisture in yoru car.. if it goes away after a few days then its probably just from someone/something wet getting in.. if its there everyday theres probably something leaking in the cabin.
maccattack: yep i feel the same - rip off for original, and if someone could make them out of the same material or something that has some give at least, then they could sell heaps Let me know if you find anything.
so the pitch of the noise changes with speed and not rpm?
Where does it sound like it comes from? can you hear it inside and outside the car? can you feel any vibration from it?
does the noise go away when you push in the clutch?
does the noise happen in all gears?
is the noise relational to speed or rpm?
does it happen in netutral?
what kind of car?
gtst would have trouble. GTRs have (and some guys on here have) done it.
That 11.7 would be with an auto in the LS1s... they probably also have a different stall convertor and diff? harder to get a quick time out of a manual - whats the fastest time for a manual LS1 with bolt ons as above?
He can't argue with stats - show him some stats of injuries/deaths from club motorsport track days like we do, and show him some stats of general things (like injuries/deaths on the road)... Its hard to get your head around that something that looks so dangerous has less risk than driving on the road.
