  1. its $1.18 vs $1.50 at the moment. and say it burns 30% more $1.18 is equivalent to $1.53 in petrol cost. so not cheaper now but the power gains is a benefit for virtually the same cost. but when 98 goes up which it will, you will save.
  2. Scotty not sure if your agreeing with me or not or if that comment was meant for me. But that's exactly what I'm saying, the slots will we sucking in air the whole time to Turbo isn't surging. And will spit out surging air then recirculate it back to the compressor.
  3. Yes. If you do a direct comparison on a Turbo with and without antisurge. The antisurge will have less boost response and less power all over. Because a percentage of air is always going though the antisurge slots bypassing the optimum point where the air should be going (tips of the inducer on the wheel) instead its entering from the sides.
  4. you also have my attention, will you be testing it with a 0.63 rear housing or 0.82 housing? Im yet to put my SS2 in the car yet so i will wait to see if the gains are significant. But keen to get a Lighter comp wheel
  5. Does this $185 saving transfer to people who have ordered but haven't paid? Eg. me?
  6. I am after the 0.82 housing as i am doing heavy track work like drifting and circuit, and heat is a major problem I want to reduce. i will be running 44mm external gate, I would like to reach between 280-300 rwkw on 18psi with the best response for this power and thought G2.5 0.82 would be perfect externally gated. I would also like to know if i could have the Nissan dump pipe flange welded on for direct fitment but NO hole or actuator for internal gate (and how much extra this will be). As for the billet wheel it was just an idea.
  7. Could the G2.5 Also support a billet wheel (as-well as the type B FNT rear housing)? if so how much extra, and will it produce quicker spool time to be worth the extra money? I will call you during the week, I am going to come by the workshop on Saturday if you are open, as i want to order a turbo, and you have hit the nail on the head with the G2.5 for me.
  8. Your on the money georgesR34. Its all how u drive it. Mind you get the tuner to make it a tad leaner off boost and low loads. Essentially the bigger the Turbo the more often u will be off boost under daily driving duties. Hence using less fuel. I had a car tuned and got better than stock fuel economy stuffing around with AFR's etc. Out of a r32 rb25 with 260kwatw it achieved 500km per tank. I think 63L (correct me if I'm wrong).
  9. How much would this G2.5 cost for the external gate version?
  10. I'll be going external gate whatever Turbo I go. As it transfers excess heat away from the exhaust wheel and won't create turbulence. That cost has already been covered. Thanks for the input. I may consider a 20g.
  11. I can't justify the extra $600ish tho. When is your full boost occur?
  12. I did consider the 20g also, but might not make the 280-300kw I want with a turn flow. And if it did I would need a few more psi. Dori33 and I went to a drift day and he has a 20g and it got super hot. So running slightly less psi will hopefully drop the temps a little.
  13. I disagree that spoil difference is negligible. Unless negligible is 300rpm. A larger housing will take longer to compress air as its the same wheel filling a larger area. Regardless the question was with regards to the anti surge housing
  14. Nah I didn't mean 20g I meant 25g. I think it will be too laggy and a headache to fit low mount on standard manifold (0.70 a/r) which is what I want to do hence why I would like the 0.60. The only difference is the housing a/r and the shaft diameter which is only 8% smaller. I would like to see full boost before 4000 on around 18psi. I haven't seen a t67 reach full boost before 4000rpm on 98. I would be happy to be corrected as I could go a t67 with billet wheel.
  15. Hey guys. I'm getting a td06sl2-25g. Just wondering is it work the risk of getting the anti surge housing. Or should I just stick to what works and get one without anti surge. Btw 10cm rear with a/r 0.60 comp housing
  16. I'm pretty sure its no external wastegate at all. Regardless if plum back because it changes emmisions from stock. An emmisions test and/ or engineers cert. Is needed
  17. Can anyone give me the diameter of the compressor housing? And also the dimension of the bottom of t3 flange to the centre of the exhaust wheel? Pretty please
  18. I'm would be very keen to be a test mule for this. How long roughly till you have a working version as I have been searching high and low for a variable gometry Turbo. And would the cost be significantly more?
  19. I want aftermarket adjustable ones just invade it wasn't clear. Cheers
  20. As title says. New or used. Would like a brand name but doesn't necessaraly matter. And must have dust cover on rose joint.
  21. I have had The same size and offset wheels on a r33 with stretched rubber no problems
