  1. I recently read an editors reply from speed magizine from a similar question. He said that they are a waste of money that are often incorrectly installed which leads to the fuel pump still pumping petrol out if you have a major accident. They exponse ignition wires that makes the time to steal your car dramatically less. He went on to say that anyone that doesn't take it easy 5 minutes before parking a their car doesn't deserve to have a turbo car.
  2. Yeah I heard you went down to this phantom Rex (really a liberty RS) in a legal off road drag race on private property (old runway)?? IS that true Julza!! shame on you..
  3. I Have Access To 20k But Id Want The Whole Car With All Mods. Pm If You Are Keen
  4. BELOW IS THE EXTRACT FROM THE HONDA DRIVER. HE HAS POSTED ON A COUPLE OF FORUMS. (HE IS CREATING NEW ACCOUNTS AND POSTING AROUND THE NISSAN FORUMS) hey guys.. i had to speak up in this forum.. to my friend David and William who passed away yesterday right infront of my face. i saw then dying.. the images in my head are so grusome.. its unbelivable.. i was driving the Silver Honda.. we werent dragging.. just cruising..65-70 k's in 70K zone he hit boost at the wrong time and place( little bend) and he just lost control and was about 1-2 metres away from hitting me.. guys.. atm i feel very bad.. terrible.. sitting in my car.. watching all this happen very slowly... the media are bigheads.. make up some nonsense and try to sell their "made up" crap.. thankz for listening guys.. RIP David Nguyen and William Curtain
  5. Mavric what he is saying is that your car is overpowered from the factory which means the cops don't car if your running a turbo out of a kitchen blender or a T88 you will get done either way. They won't tell you to go to the dyno and test your car, they will look at the vehicale database, see that a stock skyline is over the power/weight ratio for a P plater and send you to court as it is a court going offense. Anyone that tells you that if you detune your skyline and they will let you off is full of sh*t. Also I think we are looking over the fact that the reason they are not saying it's a high powered machine is that it was probably a shitbox 1980's Skyline that you can buy for $1500 since he had so many people in it and it was side by side with a shitty Honda that far down from the lights where they probably started to race and he is 18. Remember that for every hot R32, 33 and 34 there are a thousand shitty old 80's Skylines around
  6. I have just left Vic Police Head quarters (as I work for State of Govt) and I just spoke to my mate from head quarters operations and they are preparing a memo for all mobile units to book all P platers with 'illegal' cars. Just be really careful driving over the next few days if you have a turbo and a red P plate in the window! I'll see if I can get more details later in the day. Kepp you posted
  7. here is a new one. Novated lease. You can buy the line (has to be from a dealer though) and lease it every month through work which covers all petrol and repairs. The repayments ($540 per month) are taken out before tax which means for those of you into the 48c to the dollar mark only see a loss of around $250 month. Three years and you have the option to buy the car at residual or sell it (eg Residual on an R34 with an original purchase price of $30k is 12k which is less than market value) You can then buy it off the company (in my case government) for 12k and sell it for say 22k in 3 years time which recovers the majority of your outlay over the last 3 years. Basically everybody wins and you get a new car every 36 months. But you need to be earning into the 48c tax bracket for it to be worth doing
  8. I can take some but let our creative juices flow!! (and no jokes about your juices and my mum either!!)
  9. Yeah if seen it at autobarn as well. City store has it it all different colours
  10. I have just completed a bit of a DIY job for a fabricated air box that you all might find enjoyable for the upcoming weekend. You can head down to Bunnings you can pick up a piece of sheet metal (1mx1m) for around $25. Using an old Kellogs box from the kitchen I measure out the dimensions accross the bottom of the pod and the sides which I then sketched onto the box. With a pair of scissors I cut out a template and then transfered the design onto the sheet metal. Using a pair of standard cutters I then cut the design out of the metal and folded the sides up and attached a small hinge for the top piece. Using small metal srews and a cordless drill I then attached this homemade box around the pod and wolla! done! You would be surprised at just how professional it looks provided you take your time measuring out the correct size. Spray it black if you want and it looks pretty much standard other than the fact that it is much bigger than the standard box and has a kick arse pod inside. For those wanting it to go further make a dual wall and fill it with insulation All up less than $50 and 2 hours work. Another tip would be to go to Clarke Rubber and buy 1m of thick vaccum hosing and run this to the front of the box and attach it under the front spoiler where nobody can see it. I know it sounds a bit 'homemade' but remember the goldern rule 'measure twice and cut once' and if you take your time it will look and work great.
  11. $250 cash in hand and I'l come and get it from you. You can buy a new one for $400
  12. I'm a Gov Employee as well. Dept Education & Training. I look after your kids..
  13. I'll make an offer at 12.5 as the km's seem pretty high for a car driven only on weekends. But keen non the less
  14. I'm having a look for a new car and I thought I'd take a squiz at this 1992 Silvia for sale with an RB20DET engine. The car looked nice from the outside and when the owner told me that it keeps up with GTR's I was thinking "Yeah whatever" Anyway I took the little sucker for a spin and because he was working out the back of Broady in an industrial estate I could drive a tad faster than on the open roads. Anyway this thing is mind blowing! I thought I drove a pretty faster car but this thing shot up to 100km/h like you wouldn't believe!! Have any of you ever driven an RB powered Silvia? What do you think?
  15. I'll take it for 13k if you dont find any buyers at a higher price. I have cash ready and waiting
  16. Hey I'm keen at closer to 11k. In fact I have the cash if your after a quick sale
  17. No possible way known. The MR2 is a mid mounted 1.6 with its own drive lines gear box etc etc. The RB25 is a straight 6 with a North south displacement that is designed to sit down the front. You would need about 5k in just suspension mods alone to keep the car at a driveable hieght after fitting such a heavy engine. I think you would have about as much chance of doing this as taking over the world!
  18. Boys and girls, My bloody buyer (not ocean) called me this morning to tell my his 'finances' have fallen through and as a result the car remains UNSOLD!!!!! I'm after a quick sale so if anyone wants an R33 at a very good price you know who to email. PS as for the spoiler its a bit out there however I have the standard Nissan spoiler under my bed that will take about 10 min to throw on for all those conservative buyer... lol
  19. Just checking the lastest adition of Unique Cars and there is an amazing looking R33 on page 105 with a fat super wide body kit. The ad has the car for sale for 35k but it also says 'kit available for any skyline' I recommend checking it out for anyone thinking of getting a kit as it looks absolutely amazing!!!
  20. What about injectors and engine management??
  21. Yeah Mat I'm looking for another car at the moment. 12 seems a little steep even though the car does seem very nice. Take an offer closer to 9?
  22. Call my friend Therion. He works at Deslivia Parts. Call on 0417338256. Say you know Jevan with the white R33. He will deliver to you very cheaply
  23. I'm in the process of selling my 1995 updated model. Warren from this forum can contest that the car is perfect ,looks great and goes hard. I want a tiny little bit more than that. around 17-18k. Put it on credit card and its yours
  24. If you want parts call my friend Thioron on 0417338256 at DeSilvia parts. He has absolutely any parts for our cars and will do you fantastic deals if you buy a few things. I have brought about 30 parts from him and amongst other things he is a fantastic and honest person which is some what of a rarity in the car industry
