  1. did you install them or a work shop. so you have to lay the sard rings on top off the stock. Did it all work out apart from that?

  3. hey just got some sard 550cc injectors with colers. Has any one installed straight fit injectors and can give me a run down. I can see two bolts that hold the fuel rail on can you undo them and slide the rail out with the injectors in them? Or is the only way to remove the top harf of the plenum? (looks like a mission to get to the bolts on the TD side of the plenum.) Any help would be great, dint find anything in a search. Cheers Tim
  4. when you say remove the restrictor what is that in relation two. If its a restrictor in the vacum line to the actulator removing it would make you run less boost, as more air is going to hit the actulator sooner thier for opening the wast gate sooner?? or is there some kind of ecu restrictor? Unless the restrictor is in line with T peace and soliniode, then removing it would allow the soliniod to bleed more air, in turn raising the boost. Can somone clear this up for me?
  5. disconect the battery, then drain the remaning power buy putting head lights on radio and foot on the break then reconnect the battery.

  7. I just brought a new engine and took cam covers off, everything looks like its gold plated. My old engine which had about 80,000 on it is completly clean no disscolouring. OK its fair to say that the stain is from oil but is it a sign that this engine has excessive blow buy or would this happen because the oil may have not been changed in ages? This engine has 100,000 on it.

  9. no not in this thred, i got confused bettween this and the ''cheap injector upgrade'' thred. Im not having a go just arsking if you have done or know of a 250rwkw 25 with stock cams and injectors. I had in my head that you have said 250rwkw in other threds. can you kind of see what im getting at. I can see that you always list mods to show, so thiers no fualt on your behalf just that people might interpret differntly, thinking the stock injectors can support their boosted 25 with only the use of a reg. or maybe its just me
  10. SK: have you pushed stock injectors to 250rwkw with out the use of cams? I think saying you can get 250rwkw out of stock injectors may be a bit missleading as many people will just bolt on a bigger turbo and just crank the boost up to reach 250rwkw and think every thing is ok because they have a fuel reg. If you have done it and the engine has run efficiently I stand corrected.

I wouldnt push the stock injectors past 200rwkw mine were in the 90's with a 044 pump at 208rwkw. using a regulator to push them beyond this point may seem like quick fix to get better air fuel ratios but it will force the injectors to give a very poor spray patten. So its not very efficiant in keeping conbustion temps in control but will still give a air fuel ratio that may be the same as if you were to upgrade and this is were people think theres no point in spending the money. Im also not a big fan of using rotor injectors as they they are said to have unusual spray patterns, but I dont know of any people breking engines like i have herd of many cases with stock injectors reg'd 25's
  12. does anyone know if the 25 cams are interchangeable with 20 and 26. if so would the 26 or 20 cams have more or less lift. Is the reason no one upgrades with other rbs to the 25 cams because of vvt. Anyone tryed?
  13. if you have standard ecu it will be boost cut. run less boost or remove the factory solenoid and replace with aftermarket control , bleed valve or ebc. If you have after market control you need to retune your boost curves.

  15. man that sucks. after my turbo blew on that crusie, i got same turbs as you from performance. I took head off to clean out then placed back together started it up and there was a nock. Apparently a big end bearing. so engine cam out, no money for a build right now so, got out of it a cheap way and brought a engine with not turbo, sump and other bits and peaces and am changing parts over. good result what boost were you running?
  16. Is that in a rb25det with stock pistons? just that many people upgraded fuel regs with rb25dets got nice ar ratios but alot of them blew the stock pistons, and theres talk of spray pattern being the cause?
  17. as for size most up grades are 600, 300, 75 i dont think 90mm is over kill
  18. some would say yes some no, id say no. In rev 210 post of doing a 13 from a stockish r33 he feels the stock cooler to be more effective because you lose less boost though it than a larger cooler. I think a cooler intake temp may be more beneficial as when you mod more you keep getting gains from it.

  22. hi , hoping someone knows of a performance shop in perth that can supply nismo 555cc injectors for a rb25det. i can inport some of the net but then you get sluged with import tax. i have a price of $973 but import tax can be as much as 15% and then 10% gst. so the total cost deliverd could be $1230. The part number of these injectors is 1660-RR543 (yellow) any info would be great cheers Tim

  24. yea i came down and watched but didnt stay for the eliminations. how was the track, what were you guys 60's like. paul a saw a flat 13 from your car i think (grey with the red rimed mags?) I think its prob got a bit more in it, you must have been rushed to get it ready it time as i saw it at sst not fully together the same week. hey good work sean knocked down your time a little more, hope to see you on a japspec cruise soon with my new turbs good turn out of skylines, great effort, thanks for the entertainment
