  1. I guarantee that the handbrake on your ceffy activates a DRUM mechanism, The likelyhood of finding "sik, fulli sik" brakes SHOES in australia is bugger all.......I have always found that good adjustment of the brakes works a treat.....i have never had any problemms with handbrake entries in my cars.
  2. WASP Performance on the Gold Coast......it is a bit of a drive but well worth it......all work fully guaranteed.
  3. Yours should have an R180 (because it used to be single cam NON turbo.) Get under the back of your car and look at the flanges where the half shafts bolt onto the driveshafts , R180 diffs and 6 bolts (3 groups of 2 bolts) and R200's have 5 evenly spaced bolts.
  4. seatcovers should sort that problem out. Or worst case have it re-trimmed. They look reall good with black velour. (keep the "bride" marked centre section of course)
  5. when you say mechanism........which end are you talking about? the handbrake handle or the drum end?
  6. Try Justjap in Kirrawee....i believe they are dismantling a cefiro or two.
  7. They have 4 x 6 inch speakers in the FRONT doors and 6 inch (round) speakers in the parcel tray...........NO speakers in the rear doors.
  8. Definately gonna need some creative flaring to fit those on...........those tyres seem to be to high for your car too.......How wide are the rims? I have had 255/35/18 sized tyres fitted to 11" wide rims.......and they maintained the correct overall rolling diameter. the 255/45/18 you have on there are way to high.
  9. I have never seen a cefiro with a distributor........but you probably get different stuff to us. My first thought is that the problem is the lifters.
  10. The factory items (from memory) are 4 x 6" oval in the front doors.......you should be able to find some replacements at places like JB hifi.........will save alot of hassle. Grab some 6" 2 ways for the rear while your are there.
  11. In theory the S13 with RB SHOULD be the same as A31 with RB........but i can not confiently comment on that as i do not own an rb S13. I have fitted the whiteline swaybars to BOTH RB and SR powered A31's and C33's.........without any issues, The RB powered A31 had the sump sitting quite close to the bar bt it did NOT touch. (I simply asked for the largest blade adjustable swaybars available for S13, so i am unsure if i have CA or SR items, i doubt the aftermarket items are different anyway) I imagine that the lowering of your engine may be the main issue.
  12. CC: odds are your backrest is simply not attached on either side.......from the factory they need to have the base removed before the backrest..........sounds like the compliance guy forgot to fit a couple of bolts.
  13. To remove the rear seat you need to get INTO the car and sit with you back against the front seat......i find if you squat down and then push the seat base towards the rear of the car AND upwards at the same time it will come out quite easily. If yours is REALLY stuck then just grab a long screwdriver or jackhandle and pry the seat BACK and UP...... They are just metal prongs that go into the floor of the vehicle. Once you have removed the base you will notice TWO bolts (near the bottom seatbelt mount) that hold the back rest in place, once they are onbolted you simply push the backrest UP, it will slide off 3 hooks. Hope that helps.
  14. What type of diff does your car have now? is it R180 or R200? Cusco, KAAZ etc can supply new diffs for you....or alternatively you can get one second hand direct from Japan.
  15. Diffs will be different depending on whether or not your vehicle is a "factory" turbo model. Turbo models have the R200 diff , same as SR20det s13's, R32's, laurels. NON turbo models have the R180 diff, same as CA18 S13. There are aftermarket centres available for both R180 and R200........so if you have the R180 and can't be bothered with the hub swap....just find a decent R180 2 way. PS: the S13 front swaybar has cleared the RB20det sump on my cars......it comes close but is fine. CC: I actually fitted a set of whiteline sways to one of my SR20det Laurels a week ago.....they fit great........HEAPS of clearance for the STOCK sump....so provided your new sump does not come to far forward you should be fine.
  16. Somewhere along the line you are going to need t pay someone to purchase the vehicle on your behalf.........unless you wanna fly to japan and TRY to get into the auctions.
  17. The 386 is even smaller than the one you just bought.......imagine how easy it would be to remove and replace
  18. Anything can be modded to fit..........both R32 and S13 items COULD be "adjusted" to fit. My understanding of the question was would any of them fit CORRECTLY......no they won't. But with a bit of bending and creative cutting they would no doubt do the job.
  19. R32 items do not fit......nor do S13 items.........time to fabricate some for yourself.......it is not too difficult
  20. The standard swaybars in cefiros are the same as the S13 factory items........the whiteline blade adjustable items will fit for BOTH front and rear. No need to hope at all........i have done it myself......they DEFINATELY fit
  21. They are certainly up to the task........especially if you service your car at the appropriate intervals...........large filters are only good if youplan to service your car after very long periods (bigger filter will hold more crud than a small one) BUT the smaller filter will help your engine gain oil pressure quicker on cold start.
  22. I can give you all a DEFINITIVE answer on this..........the S13 whiteline blade adjustable swaybars DO fit onto cefiros' and Laurels. I know this for a fact because i have fitted them myself. I know that there has been alot of confusion as to fitment of these items.....so i decided to "bite the bullet" and purchase some whiteline swaybars and hope for the best.........it worked out i was right. A friend of mine also removed an aftermarket swaybar from his cefiro and swapped it for an item from an S13 (front) it bolted up perfectly. I hope this helps all of you out. Perhaps somebody could put this information as "sticky" for other cefiro/Laurel enthusiasts.?
  23. I have been through the whole KIPS system.........i hate to be the bearer of bad news......but there is no way they will be coughing up a red cent to help you fix your car. eg: My claim, I had audio system stolen, air POD stolen AND the pricksdented one of the doors with the wheel of another car (the tyre tread marks were still on the door and the flare)..........even with this visibe damage they would not cough up.
  24. Alternatively, if you would like to use a smaller filter to reduce the time it takes build oil pressure at cold start.....and because it makes it easier to service. You can use the ryco Z386. They fit on perfectly and give a little more room when changing them. They flow plenty, they are used on engines such as the 2JZGTE supra engine.
