  1. I'm pretty sure they'd be coming well equipped!
  2. I honestly cannot believe the guff that Mark is receiving for simply being a guy who has built a pretty special car, which we can all enjoy, and procedes to drive it himself for fun. People feel they have the right to pass judgement and make comment on him and his car (most of which is completely unfounded), but are happy to do so from behind their computer screens like regular keyboard warriors. I don't know Mark at all, never met the guy, but from all accounts he is a very humble person out there having fun and providing us with some entertainment which is more than can be said of most people making derogatory comments on all forums I've seen this on. Very dissapointing.
  3. If they can get the car sorted, I'm going with Mark. If not, maybe Sierra Sierra... ps I'm out. To the jerks who caused this, damn you to hell.
  4. Great news! I'm a big fan of this category, and would be awesome to see a field as big as the GP's doing the 12 hour. Defintely make the trek to see that
  5. Looks awesome Geoff, can't wait to see the finished result.
  6. It's not often, but awesome when it does It was half the price of the one it replaces!
  7. Thought you may like this: http://speedhunters.com/archive/2010/01/13...vw-1303-rs.aspx
  8. Haven't had much chance to use it, but so far so good. Fuel calibration has caused a few dramas but apart from that no issue.
  9. Zero play after install, so hopefully it stays that way. Magic! Thanks guys
  10. Nice vid mate, car sounds great
  11. I'm currently trying to track down a replacement engine as my engine builders are taking their sweet time with mine. Such a pain in the arse. Who has an SR20DET for me??
  12. Welcome to the dark side mate, you'll like it
  13. Looks to be 202rwkw's me thinks. That thing is too cool... I hate when people post E30's M3's, it makes me hurt with desire!
  14. AO50's are about the same price as RE's Troy, maybe a touch higher, but not much. Will give thema try next me thinks.
  15. Turbo kit back up for sale due to timewaster. If you're not ready to purchase then please do not contact me. 16. That thing is serious business!
  17. I agree wholeheartedly, which is why after building my 'big' engine I decided to go all out on what I felt was the best turbo kit for my application. I was tossing up a lot of options, and was speaking with Geoff and Ian for a few months prior to making my decision, as well as researching all threads on Fresh Alloy, Evo foruyms and anywhere else I could find relevant information. My existing turbo kit was doing a good job and was quite impressive for it's age in my books, but ultimately I wanted top performance and reliability and feel I'll get that with this setup (hopefully anyway!). I think the KA24 iron block would have come in handy with my sleeves...
  18. Currently for sale Troy: http://my105.com/classified.asp?id=14682
  19. Geoff definitely makes T4 flanged manifolds for the SR20, as we were discussing that as an option prior to me going the 71R route. The only reason I decided on the T3 was the compatability of other turbo's I'd likely be running as I found the T4 a bit restrictive for me. It's a shame the .82 housing only just came out, but it will be worth experimenting with down the track with both the 71R and 76R I think. Between Ian and I we should get some good SR data on both turbo's with different housing, and housing modifications.
  20. Pity I only have a half cage at the moment, but I'm sure I could work something out, and would be easier than making frames for a numpty like me
  21. I'm positive I will Ian! I actually had my surging mixed up in my head just then, thinking it was too much efficiency in the engine for the turbo, rather than the other way around Funny, last time I checked I wasn't blonde!
  22. Great to hear that C-Red think so highly of the setup, bodes well for the use of it with a 2.2 me thinks, unless the surging issue becomes a problem. But I'll be really interested to see how you go with the 52 76R. Who knows, we may end up swapping turbo's at some point!
