I used a wire brush on a drill.Went right back to bare metal. The paint was great and still is quite good.the rears are pretty much as anodised red as they were when they were first done.though the fronts are faded due to track days and instead of being anodised red they have faded slightly.but still resemble the red colour.i will post up before and now shots tomorrow.

Ill be there sometime after 5pm. Can get there slightly earlier but it means that a friend will have to public transport it out there which she is more than happy to do.Her and her fiancee are more than happy to help out with the setting up side of things.

Maybe change the belts.because they are rubber and they have been still for so long. Look for cracks,rips/tears general signs of wear.If they are not nearing 80K done on them,if they were not exposed to rain and the elements id say the belts will be k.Look at them give them a wiggle and see if they crack or not. Dont worry about the water pump straight away.it might still be allright.But if it leaks you know it's time to change it. Any1 feel free to proove me wrong. You shouldnt have left the car,and not turned it over at least once a month for a warm up. Mine was off the road for 1.5yrs.But turned over once or twice a month.the same belts,bar the timing belt,were left on and they had been going strong up untill last week. So i did the oil and filter,brake fluid,timing belt,diff and gearbox oil,new radiator water.Water pump(tho it did need changing) urs may not. PS:start the car up on a flat surface seen as tho it has sat for so long the oil will most surely be at one end of the motor.

Chubsy your to slo on the tyre changing. You shouldnt have a problem driving them to the track.A freind of the family drives on his semi's.Thats campbelltown to wakefield and home again.im sure there are heaps of others out there that do the same. Did you buy some r888's ftw?

Clutch pin or forks?

When i did my clutch just over 1.5yrs ago.All i did was rub back the flywheel surface lightly with emery paper.But next change will definently get a machineing. A better clutch will engauge quicker,catching the revs quicker,than a stock one.Also a stock one will slip a a certain power level where as the more upgraded the clutch gets the more power it can handle.A standard flywheel will make the car rev slower to begin with but will hold the speed better at the top end.A lighter flywheel will rev quicker but wont maintain top speed as well. This is where power comes into play (powerplay LOL).If the car has power it will rev to redline quicker and hopfully negate the feeling that the car isnt holding the top end as well.It is really noticeable in a car that hasnt got much power but has the lightened flywheel.Because the power isnt there to hold it at peak power. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Have you ever driven gran turismo 4? Buy a bone stock R32gtst .Go and buy all of the flywheels and then buy twin plate and single sports clutches and hit the super long test track.Then sit there and rev the car and take note if it revs up quicker with the different flywheels.Then do a high speed run with all of the clutches noteing how fast u reach certain speeds and how easily it holds the top speed.Do the same but now do it with the different clutches.Now do it up with zort,filter,front mount & ecu and stage 1 turbo.Do the same and see what the results are. Do timed 0-400m tests.Also 0-1000m tests (do this from stock thru to racing flywheel)
