I am using a silencer in my cannon atm and it has quietened the car down significantly.Also the power is down significantly. T-33

Yeah when mine went thru regency it had to have a top mounted brake light.Cause of the stealth wing replacing the stocker with brake light. You can get them from just about any car parts store.Mine is a coupe so it has a coupe window so it will need a coupe brake light.there are others for the different range of cars. T-33

So the r33 is electric. can any1 confirm that notion. Do you have a list of the differing hydraulic and electric hicas units!! If so mine can be removed. The only problem would be the arms that lead to unit.They would have to be locked again somehow.

That sucks balls. So you wont make a claim for the extra money that you want but are to scared to ask for.If you had gone to them in person and asked the nice lady over the desk to keep it on the low and not report it,just ask her nicley,and she might say wether or not you can get the extra money or even buy back the aftermarket parts back from the car.

Dont know about the ecu.But you can buy a Electonic hicas lock kit.Which dissengages the switch that activates the hicas.You also get shims that lock the arms in place. I think the hicas unit works off of hydraulic fluid but im not sure if it is independant or if it has lines that lead from the front of the car/power assist. Does any1 know.

What about top end speed? I only know that when i upgraded to a lighter flywheel on gran turismo the car wouldnt hold top speed for long untill it started to drop off.Where as the heavier stock item would allow it to stay there for longer. MEH!!!

1st gear the car will be pushing the car from a dead stop so u cant expect it to just ramp up onto boost like it would when it is rolling.It is called momentum and if there is none then the car has to rev to create it. it (250hp engine) cant rev if the thing holding it back weighs more than a tonne.the car has arround a 6:1 power to weight ratio. Do a slow run in 1st and i bet you will be able to hit boost allot sooner than if you were at a complete hault.Why?because it doesnt have to work to pull the car allong it is allready reving,making the torque,and passing the exhaust gasses out through the ex turbine. turbo 6cyl cars rely on the turbo to make all their torque.they have a low compression ratio so it is possible.If it were high then there would be to much pressure in the piston bore for the engine to handle,causing many comnplications leading to death for the engine. So if boost isnt there -------------------^-^-----------flatliners for the skyline. T-33

Was the kit/controller that you piggy backed from the stock sensors able to interact with the thermoswitch?Was it a thermo kit specifically made to run a thermoswitch? Sounds like the go. Getting the fan to fit under the cover shouldnt be that hard.it would be hard though to make a new shroud cover. How close are they meant to be mounted to the fins??

Mazda RX-7 Series 8 - My first choice also with a few mods.or 2nd hand job and do it up with the cash saved. Nissan 350Z Z33 Track - My second choice.I have seen good reveiws about this car in BMI with a few mods. BMW M3 E36 - My third choice.witha few power and handeling mods.cant go past that luxury and power Toyota Supra 2JZ TT- meh.toss up between it and the BMW.It would out power the M3 but not outhandle.

As for heat issues it wont be the middle of summer when this event will prolly take place (crosses fingers) in april around easter week (crosses fingers again).Even then you dont have to thrash it like you stole it.Just ease your way into it and have fun. For 11PSI (Lowboost) Set-->30% Gain-->15% SetGain--> 0% I noticed that the car had some difficulties beforehand trying to hold boost,that was,untill i changed the pressure source from the same tee as the fpr.It noticeably diddnt like haveing to share.I changed that around so it had it's own pressure source and tuned it and it works fine for me now. It took a little bit of mucking arround to tune down a side street,at night,2nd gear from a roll just enuf to hit boost and see if the set up was wrong.untill i could get it right it made the boost go bonkers up/down crazy .It veentually stared to tame itself as i lowered different knobs. The SET will add pressure above standard or there abouts.(use this for how ever much boost you are chasing) The GAIN will determine how fast it gets there.(i think,it's been a while.And if too high will spike madly) The SET GAIN i diddnt touch.(after i had it up and running if i remember correctly it diddnt need to be). Also the GAIN value could be wrong,like i said it was so long ago and i took it out of the car just the other day.Otherwise i would check it out for you. Are you in sydney??
