  1. U talking about one of these ? A dump pipe for a TD05. As far as i know there all the same. I have a TD05 in my garage i pulled off a galant. Its the same as this http://www.ebay.com....#ht_2401wt_1163
  2. Oh, so the R33's are too ugly to own ? but there engines arnt ? lol
  3. I got mine the other day TD05 18G $600 shipped, i rotated the compressor housing to suit my set up
  4. Here u go http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Apexi-Power-FC-ECU-RB20DET-R32-C33-A31-Skyline-Laurel-Cefiro-/290684791133?pt=Race_Car_Parts&hash=item43ae29e95d#ht_3350wt_1396
  5. Sounds like ur trying to do it too quick and too cheap. Shop around for a 2nd hand power fc seeing ur in japan. U should be able to find one for under $1000. Take ur time and do ur research. Do it once, do it right.
  6. Dont get super spark coil packs at that price, get the splitfire, there better. or u can get yellow jackets for about $400. there all on ebay
  7. I think i know what ur getting at, u wanna know which is the outlet pipe off the turbo ? Look at ur engine from the front, u will see a big cross over pipe and a pipe connected to it, now look below that pipe and u will see another one that sorta runs parralel. Thats where the boost comes from, the lower one of the pipes, if u follow it back to the turbo u will see a 90degree elbow, thats ur outlet from the turbo.
  8. So what ur saying is- U want to know how to find a boost leak ? U want to know how a turbo works ? U want to know the routing of R33 intercooler pipes ? Also u mentioned a BOV, if its an atmo one dont bother. It Will only cause u idle and fuel economy issues. Stick with the stock one.
  9. The belmouth front pipe in mild steel seem to be more popular (turbo to cat one piece) some believe the split dump pipe can jam up the flapper on the wastegate
  10. Correct me if im wrong but u normally buy 1/4in size bigger than the pipe ur clamping, ie 2.5in pipe will require 2.75in clamp.
  11. awesome, can u tell me what rpm range the TD05 starts spooling on the SR. I just bought a TD05H 18G for $600 shipped. If u pay outside ebay he will knock about $100 off it.
  12. They would work well but im pretty set on a kando atm. U can use the following vid as to boost reference spool times with a td05. Different car but same motor Anyway I wont ramble on about a hyundai in a skyline forum to much longer Ill start a build thread when i start turbiing it. Thanks for all ur help guys
  13. They do have good service, they have answered every question ive thrown at them and there also neg on the prices of there turbos. Even tho its "buy it now" auctions, Not that there overly expensive anyway.
  14. Dan- I came across a few baby coolers last night on ebay so i should be able to get them to fit, its also routing the pipes on the drivers side cause the power steering pump and alternator is in the way. Ill just have to wait n see how i go. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/120772369762?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_2339wt_1163 http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/120709527572?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649#ht_3703wt_1163 The point of this thread was to see if a cai like the one i made for my other lantra would get me outta trouble but looks like it wont
  15. Ok the car is a hyundai lantra. They come out with either a 1.8 or 2.0. Below is my old one, i sold it when i bought my 33. I wouldnt mind getting another one just to have a bit of fun with.
  16. Justin P- id have to do my research on water/ methanol kits as i know nothing about them Nismoid- Id like to think a td05 wouldnt be too big, u would expect it to start spooling at about 3k on a 1.8/2.0L ? I just wanted to see if my theory that engine bay air temps vs outside cai temps would make a difference, i know in N/A cars it does. Just wanted to see if the same rule applied
  17. Im plannig on turboing a 4cyl project car in the near future, room may be a lil bit tight up the front to fit a cooler. Ill be most likely using a kando td05 running 0.5 bar boost, so my question is, if i cant get a cooler up front, will a true CAI take away some of the intake temps (sucking outside engine bay) or will temps remain the same ?
  18. Im interested to see if u crack 250kw with these mods Swarzee
  19. Thats a few good options thanks gtscott, its got me thinking now.
  20. Just a quick question, ive got my bday coming up soon and my bro' s and sisters asked me what i wanted. I said a turbo lol. There willing to all chuck in some money towards a kando TD06H - 18G internal gate with a 0.5 bar actuator. So do u think this turbo would suit a 4cyl 1.8L engine ? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Kinugawa-Turbocharger-3-Cover-T3-8cm-V-Band-Housing-TD06H-20G-/290664105318?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43acee4566#ht_2744wt_1396 This one states a 20G wheel but they should be able to change it for an 18G for the same price. What do yous think ?
  21. At the end of the day its ur car and ur money stiddy, if 450kw and a giant ass turbo is what u want then u should do it.
  22. My 2c would be every turbo over time will shat itself or need a rebuild cause they have moving parts, moving parts = wear and tear. An ebay turbo is a pretty black and white answer with a small shade of grey imo, U would expect an ebay turbo to last 1/4 of the time or less of a brand name due to being more poorly built and cheaper parts used and not preform like a brand name. But whos to say how long a ebay turbo will last, its the variables involved that count to. If it was installed correctly, if it has spot on oil feed pressure, how much boost its running, if its warmed up and cooled down properly. U can pick up a kando TD06H for as cheap as $650 on ebay and thats with oil and water lines, gaskets and an exhaust flange included. By the time u bought a monsta or a no name turbo and all the other bits and pieces u would be up for that price of a kando anyway. A kando would be the only turbo id buy off ebay. Plus they could probably build u a custom turbo to suit ur needs if u asked them.
  23. Thats not a wow factor, Thats a "damn thats a huge bitch" factor lol
  24. Buy this- http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Turbosmart-Boost-Controller-New-Box-Diesel-WRX-Skyline-Silvia-TS-0101-1002-/190611843917?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2c6159eb4d#ht_2967wt_905 Then do this- I done it to mine and have exactly the same mods as u except i have a blitz cooler, the power increase is noticable. Run 8-10psi. Cheap and easy.
