  1. Ill chuck in so he can get some brakes and slow down for the corners! Represents the ACT and DIY. Awesome car.
  2. Nice car, nicer plane. The Mustangs looks probably wont stand the test of time. The F16 is a timeless classic, such lovely curves.
  3. That was the thing to do back in the day. there wasnt much else. Many dattos destroyed, and the odd corrolla.
  4. Bad taste or bad quality? Bad taste is ok, thats just me. Bad quality maybe not ok. These are the other wheels i like but cant afford http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/411096-18-fabulous-expand-racing/?hl=%2Bfabulous+%2Bwheels
  5. Anyone know the backspacing for standard r32 gtst wheels? It looks like about 4 1/2 inches but im not sure. Im liking these http://www.summitracing.com/parts/crr-3978912/overview/ But im looking at how very close the hicas knuckle is. I know they are steel, but the only other ones i really like are about $4000 (gold fabulous racing)
  6. I remember once i had the fog turn to ice. My hands didnt hurt till later when they thawed out. To old now, couldnt handle it. What do yous reckon about these wheels:http://www.summitracing.com/parts/crr-3978912/overview/ I think they have a bit of a Nascar style. For my redneck bogan 32skyline. Well thats the look im going for.
  7. Thanks, The floor doesnt scare me because theres a lot of it and its reasonably strong. Its not going to be too hard as long as i miss fuel lines etc.
  8. Yes, seen the plates. They are in cams regs and all the people that sell harnesses have them. Parcel shelf is strong enough? Ok. That will be easy then. Anyone got pics of the install? Pretty please, so i can DIY with confidence it will pass scrutineering. Mainly the parcel shelf, the floorpan ones will be easy. Also im getting a sparco seat and a bolt in seat base to be able to remove and install when i want to go to track day. When it shows up ill see how well the base fits and put up some pics.
  9. now you have a list of parts you can shop around and beat those prices
  10. How many cars do you have? I dont think your eco anything. haha Brice i was talking about the arboretum that just opened. what new hillclimb track are you thinking of? there isnt a new one is there? The hillclimbing is a little bit more difficult than i thought, but no big deal. I need doctors pass because of migraines, and cos my seat is fked im going with a race seat and harness, which needs rear mounts or bar done properly (maybe neal bates can do). And then i can get a CAMS licence and a loogbook. And then ill be eligible to enter a hillclimb or trackday
  11. Foregone conclusion. Kat 1st place Diy mik last.
  12. anyone seen the new hillclimb track? Its awesome, however you have to dodge toyota prius es driven by eco wanks. Its right next to the parkway........ hahaha! Definition of terms: Ecologist- rides a pushbike. Eco wanker- drives a Prius.
  13. No cage, plates need somewhere to go, down on the floor is ok for the front mounts, but nowhere to put plates in rear.
  14. Need an engine crane so i can change the mounts. Anyone want to sell hire or lend one? Also does anyone have a good solution for rear harness mounts? A good harness bar or a way of mounting eye bolts in the right spot.
  15. Keep an eye on your temperature, that would be my biggest worry, if your having fun and flogging it you might forget.
  16. yes, 20 year old car. yes they are gone
  17. Spoke to the scrutineer at SDMA today, he doesnt like loose seat rails, two people last week with spinal injuries at nsw hillclimbs due to seats ripping out in a roll. Have to get new ones now.
  18. New studies have found we have a slightly differently developed outside layer of the brain, and the pain processing centre is a bit screwed up. Maybe thats why it doesnt hurt when i break bones. I think ive had every type of migraine there is. I get anywhere between 2-20 a year. Some have very strange effects, once i had my vision flip for about 5 seconds. There are triggers. Know what they are and avoid them. Sometimes it takes a day for it to happen, so its hard to work out what the trigger is. Mine are : diesel fumes, some food additives (vegetable gums etc), dehydration, too low or too much of a swing in blood sugar and eye strain (usually from gaming). When i was younger chocolate was a bad one, but i have seemed to get over it to some degree. So learn how to meditate and how to tell when it is coming, so you can get some painkillers down before you start spewing up.
  19. Have to check it out. Been playing Kerbal space program, awesome rocket science style game. Not today though, migraine and painkillers make trajectory solutions too hard to handle. ouch!
  20. Interested to see where all the stolen bits end up. Need to stay away from them. Stolen bits are cursed bits, and make your car unhappy, Finally joined SDMA. CAMS L2S as soon as i get my membership number. Time to make the extinguisher bracket, and i think i need a better drivers seat.
  21. What side of town are you at? Handy Hints: Tape over or stuff a CLEAN rag in the pipes you just pulled off to get to the head. If your coil harness is as old as mine, be careful the plugs can be brittle and break. I find it easier to undo the bits the coils are bolted to, and take it all off in one go. Two bits actually. With those gone you can get to any nuts or bolts you drop down there, and you can clean spilled oil and stuff easy. Plugs are pre gapped, this is the easy way to get it right. get the right plugs. Before removing the plugs, give it a good blow with compressed air and get any bits of crap out. Those bits of crap can fall into the cylinder or foul the thread for the sparkplug. The correct way to tighten the plug is explained clearly on the box. Dont overtighen the coil brakets, its into alloy, so its soft, blue locktight is good. Dont forget to remove the rags from your pipes (ive done that before haha) easy peasy japanesy
  22. Why not take off the rockers and oil up the cams?
  23. Shows a 4door 33 can eat a 32 with a hot rb20, cos rb25 has much much more. Proof of the idea that doing up an rb20 is a waste of time. That AND beard envy, a day of mixed emotions. Perfect weather for it too.
  24. Cos we were driving around the cotter and up the mountains (Brindabella Rd) fun. PR? good, excellent, if i could choose anyone to represent us it would be someone older and wiser like you. For real. Awesome day today guys, it can be REAL good with fewer numbers hey. So just remember, 30 cars, or only 3, its a great day out.
