  1. How about something simple but expensive from nissan. Like the heater core pipes. those plastic ones that bolt onto the core and cost $120 each. One has a simple valve for heater control. You could get a ball valve or something for that bit. Make something useful, and make some $$$
  2. Expensive lesson. Yes, done it too once. (you only ever do it once) The young fella that works at autobarn did the same to his 33, i laughed and he looked sad. "its ok mate ive done it too" i said.
  3. Why fix it if it isnt a problem? Also you probly need a wideband afm to see whats going on, and what happens when you fix it.
  4. Not reclinable. It will only be in for track days, i dont think its safe to have it and the baby seat in the car together. The harness is clip on, and the seat base bolts in/out easy. Im trying to get some safety and car control, also the original seat is old and loose, it wont pass scrutineering.
  5. I am brand man. Wheres my nikes No, i cant DIY with the safety gear, so its all bought stuff. Me too, i cant wait to install.
  6. Oil and filter change. New thermo switch for fans. Works good.
  7. Got some things today
  8. I never had one. Im thinking ill have to modify one a lot, so i might as well make one. Ill make it out of steel, cos i cant do alloy yet. Hmm, good spot for the strap, nice and strong, ill have to see if it lines up with a hole in the bumper.
  9. Ive been mucking around trying to get my fans working properly. I have seen adjustable dual fan controllers for sale and they start at about $150 After some research i realized its really easy to make one cheap and reliable. Basically all you need (apart from wires n stuff) is two relays, two thermo switches at the temps you want, somewhere to put them, and a toggle switch that keeps the two earths seperate untill switched. Wire + to ignition or acc. Rather than being adjustable, fan operation is controlled by selecting the themoswitch temperature. Get one a little higher (or lower) than the other.
  10. I have to re-arrange and make it stronger. I need to fit a tow strap down there, so the intercooler has to come up. Also its not much of a reo at the moment, it needs to be stronger. Has anyone made one? If so, please show me a photo of it.
  11. And thats why i got a $270 mig. AC/DC Tig is obviously the nicest kit, but like you said: $1500. Maybe one day if i can afford it. After using mine and watching you tube tutorials, i realize the ones with the chart inside and a voltage dial and not switches, are the good ones. That Weldmatic looks nice. But... do you have a 15amp socket in your shed? You may need a sparkie for that. Edit: My main concern is i wont have the control to weld thin material. And thats mainly what i need to do for car mods. In hindsight a good welder would be far more useful.
  12. And i cant handle blood. bones the wrong way is fine but a little blood and i feel like passing out My finger fell on it very lightly Its a bit sharper than i thought it could get as its cheap gardening tool steel. Its the one next to the pinkie, so theres no excuse to stop work. Must do some wiring tonight. That reminds me... time for some pie.
  13. Trying to get a new angle on the edge of my machete, whoops! Oh well that finger isnt so important. Nearly cut the top off, without even feeling it. At first. ow
  14. When i go rb25, i will strip it down to nothing. Then it will get the full treatment, stripping tar, spot welds, panel beating, paint job, new window rubbers, etc Some things will not go back on. Most things to go, have been removed already. Now i will start making stuff, i need to try and keep it simple. And more research, looking at build threads, and planning. When im good at welding, i can do yours too! And whoever else needs it. Thinking about Grumblebee, could use a diifuser or two and skirt extensions.(from what i can see)
  15. DIY welding bay For all those bits n pieces that need welding on the car. Now i have to practice. When i can do alloy, i will be making a lot of stuff.
  16. When i was a kid chocolate gave me migraine. Carob easter bunny?
  17. Diff dr Is $800. Very strong tailshaft. perfect balance. How much in Sydney?
  18. No worries then, thanks .
  19. I need some advice please: I have an r32 gtst and my fuel gauge stays on. I never noticed it doing this before upgrading the fuel pump, injectors, Nistune, and getting it tuned. Is this normal? Is it draining my battery? How do i fix it?
  20. No i mean the old one. One plate was starting to peel/split off the rubber. I noticed as the weight came down onto the new ones, the paint cracked and flaked on the rubber part.
  21. Swapped out engine mounts today. It was easier than i thought it would be, the nut i thought would be hard to get to, wasnt. I could fit a ratchet handle in there. Most of the time was spent fiddling with fitting lifting hooks and messing around with the chain. It lifted just high enough before hitting stuff. Dropping it down without stripping the thread off was a little tricky as the mounts dont line up till its down, because its mounted in a v. One mount was starting to peel off the rubber, still fairly solid, but not for long. Seat and mounts come next week. Ps thanks for the lend of the crane
  22. Seeing as its going to we windier at the lake, id say ANU
  23. Clues dear watson, and google images. Headlight? thats 34 for sure. He said gtr front guards and lipped rears. The photo angle shows the rear guards arent pumped like a GTR Elementary.
  24. Luke, is your thermo running from a temp switch kit? Or off the original harness? I cant get mine to work properly.
