  1. Yes its terrible unless they are fully pumped, thats expensive as im not a panel beater Well on the front, i was thinking of buying wide guards, easy fix right? i havent tried anything yet, thats my first trial fit i dont even have tyres And the rear... um... i wanted wide rubber, but ill have to see what i can do. camber is stock i think, or close too. would like a gap, but you need room for suspension travel too so???? the wheels are rays gtc 17x9 +35 on a 32 gtst Bolt ons will be too wide, and im not having a piece of fibreglass glued to my body cos they crack. so maybe gtr rear guards welded on,$$$$ hmmmm i need a plan d after looking at google images, bolt ons for some reason seem the least offensive looking maybe because like you said, others looks like aids
  2. So i need to flare my guards... this much Front Rear The rears will have fat rubber So who can flare em that much wihout leaving ripples? I dont care if the paint comes off
  3. That would be sik! But.... will they let you drive it at one of these events?
  4. gtr front bar is the best front for 32s and i like that diffuser style rear bar (bomex?)
  5. Ha ha that reminds me of when i got the volvo there was the most obvious scams out there, like a new audi 4wd with about 20,000k for $5000 Apparently he was in france at the time blah blah bullsht...... yeah right. best way is go to there house with a picky mate (good cop bad cop thing) then think about it for a week.
  6. im keen to go, i have cams L2 speed. during the week sounds good i should buy suitable brake pads first. dates this month: 6, 7, 8, 15, 20, 28th
  7. same here, thats why i used a mixing bowl and a heatgun to shape where it goes in. look closer at the second pic, see i put the afm right in there. heres another one, with it installed
  8. 2 cars an option? Volvo v70 wagon for the family. (it has a turbo but you cant feel it) Shtbox R32 for me. Volvo is super safe.
  9. I have an old 32 gtst one. greasy and unpainted, but a clean and a coat of paint and itll be sweet. Has inner ball joints but they are a little loose, not too bad. Only good if it fits. The driftworks hicas elimination kit is much nicer, no more ball joints, thats what i have. Edit: no outer ball joints, have to use your own.
  10. Got a look and a couple of slow laps around sutton hillclimb track today One blind corner will have to get used to it. Working bee day, so i dug some holes for em, then filled em up again. Track day next sunday.
  11. I have a spare mount, its a universal one that came with a seat. I just drilled my parcel shelf and put one there. Approved spot checked by people who do this for a living. And big washer underneath. Your chassis should be the same colour. Maybe panels have been sprayed on outside, maybe smash repair. The only way to tell is start pulling it apart, and look. Pull out all carpet and seats to see if theres any damage repair etc, theres a thread on it, "what to look for when buying a skyline"
  12. Found something about 7 people fined for ripping up parkland, caught on camera. So its probably idiots doing it right at the carpark area getting filmed by irate picknickers. Or 4wd ers being serial pests in the bush. Anyway i dont think its going to be a problem for us. They are caught, and its off road stuff.
  13. Because its registered as a 4 or 5 seat car. Normal seats are padded on the outside so passengers dont smash their face in. The back of the racing seat is a hard shell. If it was registerd as a two seater, and the passenger had the same seat setup, all engineered etc it would be fine. Targa cars are registered and have cages and everything. But they follow rules so that its not less safe to be on the road, in traffic. But im not 20 and fit anymore and wont put up with the hassle of using it every day. "Give me convenience or give me death"
  14. Tried it out with a little drive today. Oh my god, thats the most impractical set up for daily driving. Cant turn your head around, cant reach the door if it opens, cant have anything in your pockets, cant breathe if its too tight etc. Good for trackday though. Normal seat going back in today.
  15. clip in harness, ill unbolt the seat too as it not legal. track days only
  16. All set up. A lot of mucking about getting the right angles for harness mounts, and getting the seat set up properly. I wish the other bracket worked and my helmet didnt hit the roof, as it was much easier to bolt in and out. If i cant sell those brackets i may modify one to be lower.
  17. Yeah good one jeremy. (Sarcasm) I have one, but i hate lending hand tools as i forget where they are. This is my second torque wrench. If you can leave a reminder with me, come and borrow it. Ill pm my number
  18. Im too tall to use the bloody thing, with a helmet on my head touches the roof. So BOTH sides for sale.
  19. Ahh yes depends who the problem is, some people are easy to deal with. Anyway, refunded no hassles. Hes not aware of the fake situation, as he has them on his own car! And he was a little embarrased so i got a good deal on something else.
  20. Yay! Good manners win the day!
  21. Yeah, but tactfully. going in angry and complaining probly wont work and is embarrasing.
  22. In a shop the other day.. oh thats a good price, ill get them.... Fake Aerocatches in a legit box! Spewing... going to get a refund tomorrow. Beware the dodgy discounts.
  23. Thats probly that guy from chapman, he went and got his 33 when he saw us meeting for a cruise. It sounds so weird like a 4 cyl.
  24. The old beast, diy special.
