Hi There South Aussies! Just wondering if my old R32 is still around, down Adelaide way..... It was bought from me here in Sydney by a young bloke named Samir in 2009, who was from Adelaide. It was a gunmetal grey R32 GTS-t type M without the side/rear skirts or wing, it was fitted with the following: Standard wheels HKS pod filter 3inch S/Steel catback exhaust with no intermediate muffler Clear front indicators, with the bulge out fitted with orange globes & wired to the park lights (VERY hard to miss!) HID Xenon headlights Nismo variable rate springs, 4 point adjustable dampers & castor arms Nismo 260 km/hr cluster (bought brand new 0k's, had nearly 9,000 on it when I sold it) 2 1/16" ultralite Autometer boost gauge mounted on the steering column Blue LED dash kit including boost gauge, underdash front foot well & under front seats for rear footwells Panasonic chrome headunit with remote & pioneer speakers behind stock speaker grilles Momo steering wheel Original Dealer sticker above rear tow hook (in pics) Met up with Samir in Adelaide just after I sold it to him. Only changes it had were a P plate in the window & a GTR badge on the boot?!? Would love to find out what happened to my old pride & joy, as it was very clean, & I'm sick of wondering about it!!!!!! Pics attached!!!!!!!

I know what you mean. When I first got my R32 it was terrible, push it hard through the apex & exit of a low speed corner & it would go in completely the opposite direction I though it would! I played around with the wheel alignment after work for afew nights & got it pretty good. It was much more predictable, without losing too much of the entry feel. I find the responsiveness of my Stagea to cornering at speed excellent! I don't feel the floatiness in the wagon, maybe because of the extra weight over Skylines. It would be really good if the HICAS management was adjustable, to allow a more progressive application......

R32 GTS-T front indicators. VERY good condition. There are only 2 light scuffs/blemishs. One is on the RH buldge out, the other is on the LH before the bulge out. No breaks or cracks anywhere, not even to the screw mounts from being over tightened! Rubber seals around the top where they meet the guard are in good condition & not cracked. Bulb holder socket twist locks are perfect, all locating plastic dowels/pins including the little rectangular rubbers are still there & not damaged. I only changed these out for clear indicators, so both the bulb holders for each lense were used (I wired up the little bulge lights to the park lights, as they were not wired up to anything & looked great!). Pick up preferred, C.O.D. is best, location is Quakers Hill, NSW. just message me to sort something out. $90 posted anywhere in Oz or $80 pick up. Thanks 0438 423 096.

Hey Adam, why are you putting in a lock bar? Is the rack screwed? Track day coming up? HICAS enhances corner turn in & hence improves performance. I LOVE my Super HICAS in my wagon, it is very noticable cornering at speed, compared to more relaxed driving!

What are your rear tyres like? If they are really worn then your TC COULD be picking up the inside wheel wanting to spin.........

^ Agreed, As a father of two, you never ever think of something like that happening to your life partner, let alone during a very common procedure like that. Thoughts & Prays to you Eric. Hey Rob, have you guys considered it to be an annual run? -
LOL Terry, that was my first thought too! That 'lil know secret society responsible for the demerit point system AND double demerit weekends, namely, The Pedestrian Association of Australia. Well, we know it wasn't Queensland that led the way, your regulations can be so backward that they were probably written by juveniles on school holidays!!!

Recommendations For Mobile Car Security Dealers

A top level system is only as good as the person who installs them! I had James from Autowatch install a 5 point system (2 systems linked: Remote alarm + keypad immobiliser = 5 point interrupt!) in my old R32. That system was from Brant Corporation (link at bottom of page). Seriously, don't muck around with 2 point immobilised systems, Make it as hard as you can for a lowlife how doesn't give a flying f*%k about anyone but themselves! http://www.brant.com.au/ -

Vic 99 Stagea Rs4S Rare Momo Pack
533 RYC replied to tchard's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Hey Tom, you forgot to mention the rare as 'towel rail' below the rear number plate! I reckon we should have our own 'lil sub-club within C34 owners! -
Good find! Personally I think turbo timers are the devil as they give car thieves an easy starting place to rip off your car. Got any pics of your Stagea in the snow???

Hey Nick. They are different. I don't have OEM specs, so, according to Wikipedia (don't know if it's gospel) the R34 sedan length is 4,705mm & the C34 Stagea length is 4,800mm. Then there is another problem as I encounted recently. Exhaust lenghts are different even in the same model range. I bought a cat back exhaust to suit an Autech thinking it'll be a breeze, but, it was slightly longer (due to the fatter rear bar of the Autech), & the exhaust cut out in the Autech bar is bigger than a standard. So I had to make spacers for the rear hanger bracket, use longer bolts & leave the hanger near th LH rear wheel off to achieve around 7mm clearance between the rear bar & the tip. *NOTE* I only have the standard rear bar not the Dayz. This bar may again be different for fitment........

Next time I see it & there is no traffic island in the way, I'll hang a Uie & chase him down for a chat!!!

Spotted a silver or gunmetal R34 GTR on Old Windsor Rd while I was at the lights to Norwest Private around 5.30pm today. That's my next serious Skyline once the kids get abit older!!!!

Hey Nick. I've occasionally seen a green S1 just like yours around Quakers/ The Ponds. I was nearly tricked the first time i saw it! I've mentioned it here before without a response, so I don't think they are on here..........

HAHA, was late leaving work & thought I'd stalk you the long way to Norwest Private! Also spotted a silver S2 C34 turning onto Perfection Ave Stanhope Gardens at 8pm tonight.

Hey Bill. I agree! Sorry your having to go through this Neil. I'm a mechanic by trade. Worked in dearlerships & smaller workshops for 10+ years. The things I saw in dealerships would make people cringe! I am out of the car game now, but still on the tools. I use to do everything myself, my own tyres, wheel alignments, regos EVERTHING! Nowadays, the only thing I get done are tyres & wheel alignments. I make sure I have all day to wait & watch. I trust no one when it comes to my car! This pisses repairers off, but when I flash my trade card & tell them I've run workshops & been a GM roadtester, they change their tune alittle. Usually the small workshops are the go. Find one run by an older bloke with mature age techs. Usually their days of thrashing customers cars are over.

LOL Great thread!!! My first car back in the late '90's was a MINT '76 XC Fairmont GXL. Citrus Yellow (not pine lime) - a VERY rare high impact colour, black vinyl roof, 351ci, top loader optioned & 9in. I was the third owner & it had been a single male car it's whole life. The owner before me had stored it, then stroked it to 378ci & changed the rear gears to 3.23. After a hard 5yrs (I was a P plater) i decided to sell it. How I wish I had've kept it! A young fella came round with his mate (in a banged up celica) walked round it once, looked underneath & complained with attitude " This has been on a hoist", I replied, "it's over 20yrs old, so yes, it's most likely been on a hoist, & as an apprentice mechanic who works in a dealership, all new cars that go through pre delivery are put on hoists as part of the process." Without any further questions, or looking under the bonnet I get the " Can we go for a drive?" "Sure no problem, hand them the keys & I get in the back seat after they get in. After a disgusted look & being questioned what I'm doing, I reply "You don't think I'm going to let you go by yourselves do you?" I told them to do a lap of the block (which was all of 380mtrs)& back into the driveway. He hummed & harred. As I turned to walk off, I told them to go joy ride some other suckers car & stop wasting my time! When I decided to sell my R32 GTS-T Type M, which was super clean & had heaps of JDM gear I'd put in including a Nismo 260km/h cluster, I had the usual stupid low price offer txts, but one guy who really wanted it (he was from eastern europe) wanted to haggle over a few hundred bucks, over the phone, through his uncle! When I told the uncle how much it owed me, his eyebrows went up & the native tongue came out. After a minute he looked at me, smiled & said deal. I hate dealing with dickheads (refer Dale's posts-LOL!!)!!!!!!!

What Is The Rarest Stag Part You Have Or Seen?
533 RYC replied to dirtyRS4's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
There's abit of info wrong on that plate. It states that it's a 5 speed manual, induction is fuel injected & I'm probably not wrong in guessing that No. N/A is naturally aspirated. I think maybe the inspector had lamb on the brain when they were inspecting this one, as IL4-DOHC definately denotes it as a 4-cylinder! -
I call people who do that TOWNIES, 'cause xmas/new year is the only time they get out of town & onto the highway.

An unmeasurable number of police officers are school yard bullies looking to continue power tripping! -
Agreed, best course of action. I recently had an incident in my wifes Cube, & with my 2yr old daughter in the back. Turns out knobheads in VD SuperShiite wagons don't like doing 50 km/h in a 50 zone. They like to weave around & hang over the double lines (but not overtake, cause that's breaking the law!), then after 3.5km, just before the end of the road with this complete idiot so far up my butt, he decides to start flashing high beams. So i stop & get out. He roars past, but I got a good look at him, plates, make of vehicle & colour. Went straight to my local & reported him. Officer rang me afew weeks later & told me I got all the info right, they had a chat with him. He claims his wife was using the car that night...............GUTLESS PRICK..............!

This was always the preferred place for rego stickers, why? So when you get pulled over at night & they shine their torch on it, they can see who or what else is in the car. What excuse are they going to come up with now?
