So my car was missing under boost...I tried second hand yellowjackets and new plugs at 0.8... Still misses... Then I do a turbo upgrade with pretty much everything new.. Both manifolds, injectors PFC fuel pump etc.... Still misses... Today I went and bought new splitfires and put em in...miss got worse.... Now it's like really loud backfiring... Different to before. Has anyone got any ideas to help me solve this problem.

For anyone that wants to know... If you want to buy empty drums to store fuel hit up Hi-Tec oils in Smithfield NSW. Stumbled across them today and they sell brand new 200L drums for $30. They also have other sizes and pumps and things to use with the drums... Wrapt

Figured the problem out... one of the half shafts had popped out of the diff. I had to pull the diff out and bash it back in but it's all good now. Don't know why it came out, mustnt have been pushed right in. Time to finish the intake and exhaust and it's off for a tune. I'm going to start searching the net this week for coilovers and a cage

Well I was planing on still driving out to the drifts at eastern creek but now the car is making some intense vibrations when any more than a bees dick of throttle is used. Feels like the diff is all jamed up or something, so I'm going to have to see if I can figure this out. The hose went straight onto the factory fittings, it was a perfect fit.

lol i bought a hose with a right angle bend in it. Its a commodore heater hose from Autobarn. Unfortunately the car wont be ready for drifting this weekend. Got it running and driving, but couldnt get the boost controller and wastegate working to control boost. I think its just a kinked hose to the wastegate... could have probably fixed it but ran out of time to tune.

they coat the inside and the outside so its meant to stop some heat from ever getting to the metal..

Thanks mate... it will look even better once its all finished.. Ive spent a fair bit on ceramic coating and anodizing.... about $1000 all up lol but its so addictive. I think the turbo was about $200-$300 for the front and rear... I did the back black and the front gold, but there is a heap of different colors, the chrome stuff looks mad. I got it also to control heat, apparently should reduce engine bay temps by up to 50% but I did it mainly to stop things melting if they got too close to the exhaust.

well Im hoping for somewhere between 300-350kw on E85 with 20psi Its a bit of a last minute rush to get it finished, we only managed to half finish the stainless airbox, so we just stuck the pod on the turbo. Still need to make up a bracket for the power steering reservoir, install the new Venom 5" Cat and fix an oil leak and water leak. We will be able to do all that tomorrow, but im not sure if there will be enough time to tune it. Im happy that we at least had it running today..it was rough, but it was running. A few extras I have thrown in since the original post - Power FC - Kaaz 2 way - HKS EVC 3 - Few Blitz gauges - Surge tank and 044 in the boot with braided teflon line running the length of the car - Turbosmart FPR1200 All thats really left that I want to do is - Buddyclub coilovers - Ksport brake upgrade - Cusco roll cage - Enkei wheels Also thinking of doing an R34 gtr front end conversion.

Ran into a few minor hicups.... Im frantically trying to finish it in time to go drifting on Saturday. Hopefully tomorrow I can get a gasket I need, make an oil return from the turbo and get it tuned.. Here is a pic of where its at now...

haha wtf..... well thursday is the big day for me when Toshi is going to tune my car.... standard story, decided to do a simple $800 highflow and tune.... Car ended up off the road for over a month and now im up to $15k spent so far. Ill be sure to post the results and dyno sheets once we are done.

So who sells E85 in 200L drums in Sydney? Cheapest I've found is $550.. Also anyone tried any other brands apart from sucrogen?

yeah I dont like the idea of foam, or an oiled filter, i wish apexi made theirs in 4" looks like ive gotta use a cheapie.

So I need a filter to put on the end of my 4" intake pipe. I like the apexi ones, but I dont think they come in 4" I looked at the K&N ones but would rather a dry filter instead of oiled. Any other decent brands that do one in 4" ?

At the moment the diff centre is out of the housing, So I will let it go for $150. Since posting the S2 diff up a few things have changed and it is actually now a S1 diff. I bought a Kaaz 2 way second hand and it came in a S1 housing, I thought it would fit straight up, but in fact they dont. The series 2's have an ABS sensor on the front of them which lengthens the diff by about 50mm or so. What I did was pull the Kaaz out of the S1 housing and put it in my S2 housing, so what I have got now is a S1 housing and a shimmed centre. All you have got to do is drop the centre in, put the cover on and throw it in the car. When I shimmed it I packed it until it couldnt take anymore, i took out one of the factory shims and put in two i think 1.49 shims. Did it properly and did both sides. At first it was sick and was pretty much a complete locker, but eventually it started to loosen up a bit. Still locks up dualies with a clutch dump from a standing start, but when drifting, sometimes it single spins for a litttle bit before kicking out. Whoever buys it can have the stock shim that I took out, and while the centre is out they should put that back in as well and then it will be nice and tight again.

Just for anyone else that happens to do this, the 2 5/8 cups are not a perfect fit for 60mm gauges, the cups are too big and the gauge just floats around in there. What I did was use some foam and cut it to make a ring around the gauge.. It's not perfect but it holds them tightly and you can't tell it's there...
