Sam - A few of us were watching you and trying to decide whether it was fun or plain scary in RWD on that skid pan in the arvo. What was the verdict? One of the funniest things, you wiping out about 3 of the central cones in a nice drift sending them flying into the other battle! Funny, funny, they took off like match sticks!

Even I am keen to watch this Why the bad week, saw it mentioned on the other forum?

A big thanks to the team from the WRX club for organising their inaugral DECA day. There was a few of us from the SAU contingent who entered but weren't WRX club members. Mav, Sam and myself off the top of my head and also Scott with the TME competed. If any of the Rex guys or girls can post pics from the day it would be appreciated as they will most likely be in a members only section of the other forums. There were quite a few people taking pics so hopefully some good ones will come out of it. Rain on the skid pan in the afternoon was a lot of fun and really tested the skills of the drivers and a small amount of free time for pairs to go out was a good touch at the end of the day. Age, Budge and Lynn appeared to be the main ones organising so big thanks to you guys. As always, thank you to the marshalls who make the days possible especially during the torrential rain on the skid pan. I took someone out each time and tried to ensure most marshalls got a passenger spin on the skid pan with me. Met some great new people as well so hopefully this event is the first of many for the WRX club.

Too late, Firenzas were put on yesterday! Opinions so far (have only driven in the wet), they seem very good. I havent booted it yet as I just want to get used to having tread again but so far they seem good. Will give another update in a month once I have some more km's on them. Appreciate the feedback though.

No you don't. Fairly sure you will need a CAMS or AASA licence to compete like with SAU. Was thinking of a day trip myself too especially after the fuel economy back from Shep yesterday. I have done 290kms on half a tank of fuel (only have a 45 litre tank) so am thinking a day trip up could be good!

A huge thanks to everyone who helped organise and run the day, I think one run in the afternoon is good but preferred having the practice runs in the morning for both skidpan events. It was nice to have a more leisurely lunch break too and from what I saw, the day was probably the most efficiently run to date. Unlucky to Dezz and Justin, hopefully doesnt cost too much to repair for both of you and also a shame they happened so early on in the day. Last night was awesome as usual and thanks to Taco Baz and the ladies for putting up with us again. Lot of laughs and good times so thanks to everyone that contributed.

Just a reminder 4pm at the Shell Servo inbound. I have the blue evo. We will aim for a 4.15pm departure at the latest so we don't hit too much traffic.

My g/f's parents ones are their initials followed by insignificant numbers. A thought, when they had thier's plated up from new, they just said to the dealer that it must include their specified letters but werent fussed about anything else so ended up with random numbers, possibly the same reason as the ones you have seen?

I have Bridgestone Potenza S03's at the moment which are awesome but at over $320 a corner, I'm not replacing them with the same again. This time I am going for Firenza's which are on recommendation from Techsport (Evo tuners) as the owner runs them on his race car. Currently the distributer is undertaking some agressive penetration marketing and they are (for my 17" rims from him), just under $200 a corner. They seem to have a good rep with him and are something to with Bridgestone or Federal, I forget which.

Buy an Evo as it comes with an Intercooler from factory, then put a Pod on legally
