  1. Certainly wont miss any of the uk modifed novas etc. The nice cars are mainly kept for shows rather than cruises. While some look awful and pay obscene amounts of money for small bits of work, I have to sympathise due to insurance costs. I have been there driving the road going lawnmowers to start my insurance but didnt venture down the path of jap bumpers and wings and 19" rims!
  2. I knew there was a good reason for the g/f liking those colours what with her being a ford fan!
  3. Here is a link to some of pics from this years Gumball 3000 race. Thought you guys would like some pics of the skyline: http://www.passionford.com/forum/viewtopic...r=asc&start=150 And here is a link to the Gumball 3000 video to date: http://www.passion-gt.com/video/GumBall300...0_PassionGT.mpg It is 75MB and is basically as the cars are going into the hotel for the evening. Very nice cars on there. Both links courtesy of www.passionford.com.
  4. Happy Birthday all, Ant95 - you should have said!
  5. ant95GTR - there do not seem to vast amounts of them on the road, probably due to petrol costs and insurance otherwise I would show you. Could direct you towards some tuners, some of whom are leaning towards jap cars. Will see what I can find out. Do you have wheels when you are here? email is: [email protected] Cheers
  6. you are heading north at the right time of year (in theory!) although it is raining continuously here at the moment, whats new!!
  7. Using water depends a lot on your engine and how sealed areas are. I used to work as a car valeter and were contracted by Range Rover, Jaguar and Honda to do their cars. None of those cars had problems with water and most were under 5 years old at the time (approx 2000). The instructions we were given were to keep the engine running and used to use a compressor with de-greasor to lightly spray and a jet wash to lightly spray it off. We used to put a bag over an alarm if it had one. Having said all that I tried cleaning my older Fords and nearly killed one of them as everything is exposed. My advice would be if you are not sure don't do it and if possible either speak to a car valeter or watch one on the job. Hope this helps.
  8. well good video, thanks. Was very impressed with the cars and your videoing. Keep them coming!
  9. ok thanks mate. I am not back until the first week in July which is probably longer than you want to wait. It also wouldnt be a 100% definate buy without seeing and hearing it so I couldnt ask you to hold on to it. My mate has the Mivec here in dark blue so know a bit about them. I will keep my eyes on this section as I am on most days and if it is still for sale then, I will have a look.
  10. when do you leave to go overseas mate, nearest month will do. am overseas at the moment but will be back and it looks like a good price.
  11. its very harsh with speeding over there compared to here. There is just so little leway anymore, barely the width of your speedo needle. We have 10% + 3 although not advised to quote it if pulled over doing that! Its fine on the motorways when all the traffic is moving along at 120kph ish, they will leave you alone. If you are the only one doing that and everyone is going slower, they will get you then. I do agree with having it stricter like you guys do in built up areas as there are so many kids who just run out without looking but in the middle of no where like the Hume!?
  12. my bro has one of these in blue from 1988. loads of fun and took us a whole weekend trying to put the worlds smallest sub and four speakers in as nearly every panel has to come out the inside, including the seats so the amps can go under them!!
  13. plenty more where they came from. check the prelude out under "motors"! http://www.sussexcarz.com/index.php
  14. great work, think i would prefer the wing on the chopped one as well as the original.
  15. have found some pics of the drop top 300zx. Not the one from here but on ebay. It only has about a day and a bit to run but here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...6&category=6398
  16. im sure there is a 300zx drop top here. Like several of the others are saying the reinforcement is the biggest issue (along with looks I suppose!). Usually the windscreen frames are extra strong as thats the highest point of impact in a roll and the sides are reinforced too.

  18. I'm not even from Melbourne and saw that car! It was on a freeway near Bundoora ducking between the cars in August last year. Didnt think much of it at the time.
