  1. If you are stuck for something to do on the Tuesday night, come along to the monthly meeting which is in South Melbourne, about 5 mins from the CBD. Link to thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=164024
  2. Min For the Win (I patent the phrase which can be abbreviated to MIN FTW)
  3. Do it yourself if you are worried about the money! You will get what you pay for unless you have a mate who is skilled. Google "repair paint fibreglass", go to Bunnings and do it yourself. I am about as far from DIY as they come but still take challenges on.
  4. If it still in my posession, I would be interested as like Matt, I have had guys (mainly V8 guys) asking what it does down the quarter. Some struggle to comprehend that cars were also intended to go round corners!
  5. I knew they were big wheels! Bus wheels, explains it all now :sorcerer:
  6. Just as long as the brakes that Bris had werent from the Lada for his GTR. Could be a deadly combination
  7. The spell checker needs an install which takes you to a couple of other pages to get. The file itself is 1.6MB roughly which isnt big but depends if you can install on the PC/Laptop you are using (e.g. not a work one/someone elses). Have attached a pic of what it looks like when running. Alternatively just select the text you have written and press CTRL C and open Microsoft Word, then press CTRL V. Once you have checked it, you can reverse it by pressing CTRL C and then CTRL V over the top of the text on SAU. Only reason I say CTRL C not CTRL X is incase you lose it in the transfer. Apologies if you know how to copy and paste into Word. Dezz/Ash/Darren - Doesnt look like I will be going to watch then spell_checker.doc
  8. I haven't entered it, might come and watch though but could probably do with it
  9. Its not about being "funny" as we all spell things wrongly sometimes, accidently. When a whole paragraph is full of spelling mistakes with words spelt as they sound, it makes it very hard to read. Think about it, why do you make a post on a forum. Normally because you have information to share/contribute to a thread, to whore or just to chat. If people cannot understand it, it becomes pointless posting. I don't like to use Brentton as an example as he has been the person doing the most outside of the club to organise events, which is a credit to him but if he is posting locations/directions and meet details, they need to be spelt correctly. This isnt a dig at the ability to spell as we all have weaknesses but when anyone makes a post on a forum, it is for the benefit of other readers. With a built in spell checker, it makes it even easier to check now.
  10. Anytime mate, just makes life a lot easier for the readers
  11. That should be an easy fix with the white paint from your lights! Just pocket the money quoted to fix it, no point going through insurance for a scuff. BTW - taking has no "e" and there is a spell check button that looks like ABC with a tick next to it on the right hand side to help you
  12. That really is tragic and need never have occured. I watched someone do the same 2 weeks ago and it is scary. The guy in my case, just wasnt paying attention, it hadnt even just changed to red as I had stopped and the car next to me had for a good few seconds. This falcon just hammered straight through and hit the guy turning right, accross his path on his green arrow. Fortunately both were ok but a lot of damage, unlike in this case. RIP
  13. I have one in my Evo too which wasnt removed at compliance also.
  14. This has to be Kris, OYKB registered twice or changed his username!
  15. Possibly Aaron from Rampant could source it out of Japan as he brings in containers of parts. rampant.net.au
  16. Thanks mate, just gives me some idea
  17. There is nothing new about this style of camera, these have been operating on the M1 in the UK for several years around the midlands area. They run over 3 sets and the idea has most likely been deployed in other areas by now as I remember when they were trialled.
  18. This list is regularly updated as I get them through work (road haulage industry). I received the same attachments on Tuesday and sent them to the committee and was going to post them up here last night in the other camera thread but ran out of time. Saves me a job now anyway
  19. With permission to reproduce the logo, you can get one through ANZ from their website. There is a cool little feature to upload pics and manipulate them on the card. Or, do you want a visa card with money on provided by the club to spend!
  20. Thats a shame mate, hadnt realised it was so close to being sold when I spoke to you at the weekend about it. Listen to you two anti Evo boys!
  21. Fantastic! thanks mate, let me know when you are about and I can drop by :sorcerer:
  22. I went through Matt - 8OO5TED Sorted my policy on the Evo out for a great price and beat RACV on the renewal for the Subaru so Shannons got that business too.
  23. What can I say, very impressed with Matt's IX. Thanks for looking at the ECU on mine last night and all the explanations, learnt more in an hour than I have in a lifetime about ECU's, extremely interesting. It pulls hard for an Evo (have only been in a few) but sounds extremely tough with the exhaust too! The knock surprised me on the VII also. I dont think I will bother running it on 100 RON purely for the km's I do and accessing the servos that sell it so a better tune for 98 would be my chosen path. Let me know how you go with opening that file and I will keep you posted about the AVCR/gauge.
  24. Congratulations to both of you and all the best for the future mate. Setting looks stunning
  25. This is already available via a few guys that do ECU reflashing. It is one option I am considering and am speaking to someone about it at the moment.
