  1. Hi... I own a 1995 R33 GTSt. I use 91 RON fuel....always have...with never an issue to speak of...... .......in my 1996 Briggs and Stratton mower.
  2. then I'm hoping we both get some answers...that'd be cool. :sorcerer:
  3. well, ........I guess that's that!! hehehehe...... :laughing-smiley-014:
  4. hi NSM... maybe your other plugs weren't screwed in properly??? Seriously...all this talk on coppers has made me decide on something.... I have some time off very shortly, so I'm going to humour myself, go and spend 10 buck on some coppers, chuck'em in the line, push it real good, and see what happens. I'll get back to you guys with a report of my own personal findings.. regards, Spit.
  5. Hi T33, it was from the Supermarine Spitfire aircraft of WW2. (abbrev) It's my favourite thing in the whole wide world!...other than my daughters and my car and my '69 Fender Telecaster. And...I can spit really far, further than most spitting things. And, thankyou for asking. Spit.
  6. thanx man....yeh, she's K...(for a mum)...hehehe...you bugger! Lights?..Yeah...I really like them now that you told me that they shouldn't be on my car!!.....it's different! Thanx. spit.
  7. ah ha!.....now I understand YOUR mis-understanding..... :laughing-smiley-014: that wasn't me bro!!.... though i did enjoy reading that topic...it was funny...I wonder if that guy was actually just having a lend??? Still, even though you are totally incorrect on what you wrote, (5 cent a week?) and thus your joke didn't work, I will thank you sincerely for your time!..and your suggestion on a forum sale. ahhhh....I love this place! :laughing-smiley-014: Kindest Regards, Superspit.
  8. I always ask for advice on things you can't advise on?????.....um....no....I think you've got the wrong 'member' Mr Eps!!! :laughing-smiley-014: I've exhausted all avenues prior to selling this bar, and this forum has helped me a lot with my current selection. So there it is... I understand your point on 'willing to pay for it', but please, there is no need to be so troublesome...hehehe. :sorcerer: anyway, Thankyou and regards, Superspit.
  9. G'day guys.... I was thinking about putting my old 95 GTST front bar and 'louvre' grill on ebay, as I now have a Trust bar on my car. It is complete (indicator lenses, globe holders) and in good condition, even if it wasn't re-sprayed. Guys, I'm just wondering what I could (should) be asking for it.... thankyoooooooo.... Di (and Superspit.)
  10. The reason you can re-gap copper plugs to your hearts content is because they're solid copper, no coatings. I going to go against the grain here and agree with superspit. I'd rather not be changing my plugs every 5000kms. I've replaced my plugs with Iridiums and could not be happier. I even used the factory specs for the plugs which is 1.1mm gap and heat range 5 (oh no! he used heat range 5 and a 1.1mm gap, that's a sin!). sounds good Keymaker...I thankyou for that. regards, Superspit.
  11. Hi guys,..thanx for looking at my thread. I am hoping to find people who have had a an 'actual' fault with their TPS unit, and the symptoms they discovered that led them to replacing this unit, with good results. I'll refrain from explaining, just yet, the issues I seem to have with my '95 R33t, as I'd prefer concise information only on this particular unit at this moment, and potential issues a bad/failing TPS may cause. PS...my TPS is the single connection type, though it has 2 sockets. Again, many thanx. Superspit.
  12. Thankyou Security...but this looks to be unconvincing to me...sorry...did you really read my thread, which I thought was quite objective in parts? could someone please tell me why I should go to coppers...or, could someone else give a reason why one should stay with the factory specified plugs.....ps.not interested in cost, I'm more interested in standard skyline performance. (ie.not racing). I'm really looking for some fresh responses here, and think that many others may be interested in this age old topic. Kindest Regards, Superspit.
  13. I just don't understand this comment......or the others like it. How could you have less problems using an inferior copper plug? I understand the price point makes them attractive, but why would you want something that requires changing so often (or have them changed by an expensive mechanic!). I think the cost thing is negated simply on that point. Also, the wear and tear on removing covers, IC piping, leads, transformers etc could lead to an expensive job with constant removal and subsequent re-installation from using the shorter life copper plugs..... ...no, not for me....I'd rather be driving than servicing. I also think that the majority of issues is to do with the 'purchaser' / 'installer' of spark plugs, they simply don't understand gap importance, go head on into a job without the research or they expect miracles from the plugs themselves, be it copper or plat/iridium...ie...noobs. Anyways, just thought I'd throw that into this 3 ring circus ..... :laughing-smiley-014: Kindest Regards, Superspit.
  14. Hi.. That is odd!!! I love my NGK Iridiums !!!!!... But then again, I set them up properly...hehehe! I will not be using anything else in future, especially those majorly over-priced Nissan Plat's. (they are good though!!) Anyways, glad you're happy now... Regards,
  15. mmmmm......do check your IC piping too.....anything that even looks like a leak (black residue around piping) should be a good indicator that it is. Also, what is your boost guage showing at full boost? (prior to 'missing?)......please don't hurt yourself trying to find out though!!!
  16. Hi 33, are you positive that your car is only running 5/7 PSI?....I am willing to bet that it's actually more, due to the symptoms and the 'fix' you made going forward, (spark gaps), whether it's due to a leak in the W/Gate line or just modded that way (?). I'm not sure if timing can give the same effect as the wrong spark gap under higher boost....maybe it can(??) Anyways, I too was the first owner of my line here in Oz, and found that an increase in boost of just 3psi had the exact same results as yours did prior.... regards, Spit.
  17. quote..NGK only lists platinums and iridiums for R33's.... um....as they bloody well should be!!! Spit.
  18. Hi, it's not fixed for the moment...it is fixed for good!!! 1.1 mm is fine for standard boost R33's!!!!! Now, I'm guessing that your car has more boost than stock?.....Just remember, as said prior, to keep your gaps at +/- .8mm to compensate for the extra boost and you'll stay fine on future plug servicing!!!!.....note:Do not attempt to clean your Iridium plugs as you would a copper plug. Also..your current Iridiums are a fine plug..and are superior to copper plugs in many ways...... I use these and my car loves it....Dyno testing has proved that to me!! Well done on getting your car right!! Redards, Spit.
  19. Hi, that 'particular' noise could be (and most probably is) your thruster bearing, located in your gearbox. It's a $5.00 part that requires approx $500 in labour....that sux!! Bye....
  20. The heat range of a plug of a factor of one in a specified brand is not going to make much difference in a standard reality....nor in a standard configured car. I will be more detailed and suggest that it will not detonate in a well tuned/serviced/stock engine, or even give you any performance increase/decrease, for normal to good performance type driving. ok...to avoid the niggles....I will rephrase..... "the colder of the 2 YOU HAVE SPECIFIED" Also, if you are going to up the boost in future (God bless ya!!), gap the plugs now, to <>.8mm to avoid the dead spots when accelerating under higher boost!! Much info to be found around here on this topic and why it happens!! Your car will still perform well even when boosting standard PSI with the lower spark gaps! Sorry guys...this ain't rocket surgery!!!...let's not confuse this guy into oblivion!!!....geesh! anyways....and least you're using a reasonably good quality plug, that's within the heat range required for your car!...enjoy.
  21. cool...but he did mention 'bolt on mods'....so I'm guessing that involves a boost increase....necessitating the gap closure!!! The fact that you don't have to worry about replacing them so often as compared to coppers IS the only obvious/realistic reason why we/I use them....thanx for clarifying that.
  22. Hi....again.... also, if you're using standard ignition parts (as opposed to a Splitfire system), ensure your gaps are small too! (.75-.85mm). Bye...
  23. hi.. whichever is colder. bye.
  24. mmmmmmmmmm....R34 IC into R33...sounds like a nice little upgrade! Wouldn't mind learning a little more about this.....along with expected/real outcomes??? Regards, Superspit.
  25. TIMING BELT! I had the same sound a month ago,....gaaaaaaawn, after TB changed!! PS....this new SAU server sux!
