Thanx so much guys, well explained!! Mark.
-
Well, that's me, redundant....I do drive a 95skyline!!! Ok, to rephrase, what's a 'Type M', and is it any different to other 1995 GTST variants? And thanks for straightening me out FM!! Mark.
-
Hey liner's, What makes an 'M-Spec' an M-spec????? (not and, sorry!!) Specifically for a 1995 GTSt (my car).......... Is it the spoilers, skirts, tail fin, trim, performance enhancements...etc? Can one simply tell by looking at it, smelling or tasting it? (sorry about the crappy pic, if someone needs a few pics to help me out I will gladly then get off my butt and get them, to help you help me!!!!) I thankyou in advance! Mark.

Hey! I always thought that my line was 'a little different' to the 94 and 96 models!!! Could never quite work out why my car had some extra doovalackies on it, but missing others!! Thanks mate. (I've heard the term S1.5 thrown around before, I guess it must be faidinkum!!!). I wonder what other differences there are in it!!??? Ta mate.

hi 3L3, My 1995 R33 GTST has a pink sticker and is a 3 pinner. Would u happen to know where that fits in, spec wise? <_< Thanx mate. Superspit Mark.

Justin, this is fine. When I first pulled apart my IC system (to play with it), I myself noticed an oily, dusty residue within the pipework. (the car was 8 years old when I got her, and rubbish builds up over time.) So i cleaned all the easily accessible stuff, and all cool..No problem!! Enjoy your 'line!!...and watch out for those bumps, silly!!!!
-
ooh ah! Jubst a little bit? ooh ah!! A little bit more? A litle 'residue' is normal, 'totally wet' (which I doubt), then could be serious!! Why did u have to remove the IC pipes for? Do you have 'ooh ah! Jubst a little bit more problems'?? Let us know!! SuperSpit Mark.

R33 Seat Belt Retractor Tension Adjustment?
superspit replied to superspit's topic in General Maintenance
pre-tensioner system????????????? -
Hi Skliner's, what's the 411 in the....er, ..anyways.. Scenario.... You know when you've just hopped out of the 'line, you close the door after you and find the door either recoils back at you or the inside door trim gets 'dinted' from the belt buckle!!! You know about that? Does it happen to you? Well I 5ucking hate that!! (almost as much as a poorly placed yellow sticker on my windscreen after getting pulled over, yet again!!!). Question: Is there an adjustment to the seatbelt retractor assy that will actually see my belt go back into it's little concealed hiding place, quickly??? PS. Mine still winds up, just too slow. Thanx for letting me get a load off!!! Anyways, later. <_<

Unknown Problem - Please Help!
superspit replied to SAUmember888's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
THERE YOU GO! Factory ECU is ace, for relatively standard applications..ie, maybe 10 -11 psi. (in a nutshell!!) Unless your car is noticeably misssing upon acceleration, then don't worry about spark plugs. (checked by removing them and measuring the 'gap'!!). I'm being a little conservative with this, as I believe you are being!! Cool!! -
just curious to what you're thinking R31Nis ?

Unknown Problem - Please Help!
superspit replied to SAUmember888's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
mmmm..........not necessarily Racer...mine slips a little, enough to kill that rush when changing gears at boost!! After checking for IC pipe leaks, as smartly suggested above, I'd re-set the ECU, give that a try......check your plug gaps (.8mm) too (?) I know i'm going away from the clutch thing, but reduce your boost by a psi, at least!!! 13psi is bordering on a fun short time, without re-mapping!! -
Hi QR, I don't know the standard specific power output at wheels of 33GTST, your numbers seems ok. By standard all I mean is there are no internal/turbo/ECU changes to my car. 3 inch zorst and old foam Airinx pod (as per my Avitar description) is what I've got. So I guess that 'in-combination' with these 'shallow' and basic mods, I would be making the extra Rkw. By the way QR, I can actually put my car back to 'stock' within a couple of hours and feel a dramatic difference. (much slower on take off, which is all I'm interested in by the way!!!) Picture is of my 'bleeder valve' prior to Police kindly removing it for me!! Hole in the WG pipe works just the same, (says a lot for these devices!!$$$$$) ps .I don't think the R32 actuator you mention relates to me?? Thanx mate!! Mark.

You can get extra boost by doing as I've done. ...and yes......7-8 psi is about standard on a R33 GTST (RB25DET). Small hole drilled into the wastegate rubber hose. (directly before WG). Innitially, it's hit and miss. I made up 5 small lenghts of pipe with holes of various sizes. (.5 to 1.5mm), till I found the right one, (i carried them in the glovebox for easy change over). Making constant 12-13psi (measured) for the past year now. I had the GFB bleeder valve, ....cops pulled it out for me. The hole in the W/G pipe is undectable!! (and also has the same effect as the $80 GFB!!!) I re-gapped the plugs to .8mm at the same time.....could never bo back to std boost now!! Also have been running the 'black wire' mod too, on the solenoid (also undectable), so boost cuts in earlier. Works great, that mod!! (search the forumn, but make sure you earth the right wire!!!). All this works for me, and the car makes a conservative and safe no- bullshit 174RWkw....not bad for standard...thanx to these forumns!!!! Mark.

Rear Wheel Bearing Advice/assistance Required.
superspit replied to superspit's topic in General Maintenance
Is there a 'safe' way to test for bearing noise? (wobble test shows no slack). I had my front bearings done 1 year ago, but that place went out of business since then. The noise in the rear is exactly the same as the noise I use to have in the front , before being fixed. (therefore I am presuming bearings!) All I know is that apparently the front and rear bearings require different amounts of labour (time) to replace. the bearing also are alot more expensive too, I've heard (?). Thanx so much for replies so far!! -

mmmmm.this is good advice, thankyou Oosh! Check this, ..I will! -
Hi Skliner's....wsup inda...er ...anyways........... Rear bearing noise is starting to bug me and my G/f now. (no, it's not the tyres!!). Gotta have music on to stop me from getting annoyed!! Please, if anyone here has had to do their 'rears', could you please suggest a reputable place to get mine done? (maybe good on price too?) I thanx u in advance!! Mark.
-
woah!! exact same thing here!! you're going to find she'll stop and start quite unreliably of it's own accord now. Mine's stuck or shuffles around the 91K mark now!!!

Hi everyone, sorry about the title of this thread, bit cheeky I know. Speedo still works fine, just that the 'trip' meter and main ODO no longer rotate. (stuck at 89990km)....maybe not a bad thing!!! Any ideas on what I should check for at first? Is this a common problem for this model type, or just happens to any model type? I thank you in advance.

try to avoid the thrashed ones owned by some youngsters, who have lost there driving license and had to sell their line, for example.--------These cars generally come standard as "stuffed". By straight from Japan, if you can, or from a reputable seller who will register the car for the first time in Oz. !! Odo's are crap.....get any car visually pre-checked. Or buy mine!! (5uckin' fussy older owner!!) By the way, I know some fantastic '18 year old drivers''!!!!!!
-
yes, very much gooder for some often hard driver dont like?

Man......................you are so rude........and totally incorrect. The 'Halcyon' days of turbo muscle cars included all turbo skylines. R33 GTR...maybe?????? What are you on bro's? GTS-T bland?? That's you're opinion! GTI-R.......Soarer??? I guess these are the only real muscle cars as far as you are concerned??? (because you appear to own them). Checkya! :boohoo:
