  1. I'm getting a few comments on the front indicator lamps, apparently they look a bit 'trailerish'?? I think I might get some low profile ones, but keep them round. (???) Looking for more thoughts, negs, pos...whatever!! Thanx, Spit.
  2. Hi deriq, I'm in the process of learning where I can and can't go......I have HKS adjustable coils,...so I'm thinking that I may (or may not) have to raise her a little (bummer!!). I am taking everything on an angle now, including my driveway!! So far, just a few little scrapes, not bad though. Spit.
  3. hehehe...I had no idea it was the second most common!! Not sure if I actually wanted something 'unique'...just a little more aggressive without too much 'rice'. (I am not knocking 'rice', by the way!!) But thanx man. Regards, Spit.
  4. Hi, just would like to run these pics past you guys, see what you think of this new bar. It's a TRUST. I have included a pic of my car with original bar, taken a few weeks back....prior to taking a hit. Anyways, some clown reversed into my car, and via insurance (all paid for by the clown), I thought I'd take the opportunity to change things a bit. (Lucky I was still in the car when it happened!!!) At first, when I went to pick the car up from the panel shop, I thought to myself...'wot the faaark have I done!!"...but I like it very much now. It seems to have been fitted very well too. I hate speed bumps!! especially now!!! Now, if I could just get some glass headlights!!! Regards, Superspit.
  5. PS...where is that GREY connector on your TPS going to.......I've never actually seen TPS with a connection to the normally bare grey plug...brown yes. mmm...maybe it's just the Sklines I've seen?......? Superspit.
  6. WELL DONE r33MAD!! They do look great, so in this case your money was well spent!. Now don't blow your turbo up!!!!! Onya!. Superspit.
  7. Hi MBS... nupp....over the natural induction noise it was impossible. The guy at the dyno even said it took some time to find it!!! It was on the output side of the stock intercooler. (elbow connector pipe). We both new that it was going to be something silly like that....I did plugs, AFM, checked timing, compression, ECU status...etc...nothing helped. Until the elbow was replaced...then ........bammmmm! Skyline was back! Take nothing for granted when looking for pressure loss/leaks, 'cause if you do chances are you'll overlook the problem and spend stupid amounts of cash, as I did!!!! Superspit.
  8. oh man!....that is exactly what my car was doing....up until last week!......it was only making 110kw!!! Now making 185 at 11.5 psi.....thank god we found that shitty little leak!!....it only opened when I really pushed it....first gear seemed fine....3,4,5th gears were pussy!! Geeees....those splitfires do look pretty!......might get me some of them!.
  9. honestly....good luck man....nice coils. But, if you do actually find that this doesn't solve the issue, please do inspect ALL of you IC piping... Let us know how you go! Superspit.
  10. Hi DA21 !! I'd like to know more about your car (if that's ok?)!!...sounds hot and interesting!!! Superspit!
  11. Hi... where did you say that 'bump' in the road was??....I need my car to be a bit quieter!!! anyway, hope you find a result!!
  12. Hi, Just installed Dan's LEDs ...fantastic and easy...WOULD'NT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE ACTUAL LEDS, I would think!
  13. hi... cat temp???? there is a small sensor I believe, in the actual exhaust pipe (not the O2 sensor, further down the line) that 'monitors' the temp you are talking about....it actually should be inserted into the cat convertor, and indicates that temperature. Could this sensor be damaged due to the installation of your new zorst....it's just that this happenend to me a while ago!!! Get under your car and make sure nothing is disconected. Hope that might help. Superspit.
  14. mmmmmmmm.......up until 3 days ago my car was generating 110 rear wheel Kw with under 7psi (indicated).. It would 'boost cut', pop and complain at anything above 8 psi!!!.....I've been driving that way for months!! I changed plugs, coil packs (2nd hand), AFM, reset puter,....no difference, according to Dyno. Today my car generated 170 rwKw @ 11psi!!......Dyno Because i didn't take the time to find a stupid f**king little leak on the IC rubber 'out pipe elbow'.....open >2 or 3 mm across, was enough to make my car useless on the freeway or for overtaking!!! Point.....pull apart you IC piping and scrutinise it!!!!...it's cheaper!!!......and sounds so much like the issue here, in my experience. Although, it would be nice to have the splitfires!!! Regards, Superspit.
  15. I felt sick reading this....please don't do that again!!!.....fool!
  16. I don't think you'll regret it!!! Talk to Nigel.
  17. yes...I'm sure he means the timing belt...... In my case, as far as the rest of the stuff you mentioned, I have left that up to Nigel to decide when he can get his hands and head into it. Just thoughts.......... I really don't subscribe to, though don't necessarily disagree with replacing 'close-by' items when servicing.....If I did I'd be better off buying a new car with the cost of stuff I've had replaced!!!!! I've heard of timing belts snapping after 3000Kms, some at 300,000 kms......so I consider this work to be 'insurance'. How much is an RB25DET valve-train nowadays?????...... anyways..... She's a tuff old bird...my (our) R33 ('s)....the most reliable thing I've had the pleasure to drive/own...and I've owned a shit-load of cars....or a load of shit cars...whatever. Kindest Regards,
  18. hehehe.....Nigel just found my lost 47 RW kilowatts!!!........ace! (as per above) tmrw I'm in there again to get the timing/drive belts changed......this guy obviously went to the 'good old fashioned school of service'...just great!! Please mention 'Mark with the white skyline' to him when you book for a service!!! (it won't get you anything extra, but at least he'll know that he's being spoken highly-of!!) Regards, Superspit.
  19. I'm about to go and see Nigel at 'Racingline' (15 Bricker st. cheltenham), with similar issues. (9.00am this morning actually!) He sounds like a really nice bloke, and I think he actually diagnosed my car over the phone!!! wow!...a mechanic that spent a few minutes listening to me winge on the phone!!....incredible! It'll be dyno'd and generally sussed out to find out why I have lost mid and upper range power. Skylines (our models anyway) do tend to run on the rich side anyway, just to note. There you go kokomo!! ps...Ultratune for anything else other than an oil change??? (for an R33 Skyline?).....um........er.......pfffffffft! Cheers, :sorcerer: Superspit.
  20. Excuse my hijacking!!! Hey Dan! just wanted to say thankyou for those fantastic blue LEDS!!! My dash has never looked better/smarter!! I didn't realise that I had 2 burnt out globes in there already, always wondered why my dash looked shithouse at night!! (thought it was the standard look!!) Piss easy to install too! Anyways...thanx matey!! Superspit.
  21. Yeah...spot on with what I would say. My HMax2's are very noisy (compared to the standard)..but are simply awsome and provide much confidence when trying someting you 'saw in a cartoon' once!! Mine are set to super-soft setting, but they still wreck your back!!! LOL! Regards, Superspit.
  22. will do!! man..I need them to sort out some serious electronic/timing issues!...it's faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrked!! My 33 now goes like my old Q S13!!! Ta!
  23. yeah!!!...... that's him!!!! I'll call him tmrw!! Thankyou khunjeng!!
  24. PERFECT!!.......... thanx bluey33! Kindest Regards,
  25. _______________________________________________________________________________ Hey guys.......then could anyone suggest a good Skyline/nissan performance workshop in the Melbourne area? Basically, if you've had a good experience with your mechanic (price, courtesty, trust..etc), then I'd like to know where they are.. Thankyou again, Superspit.
