  1. yeah, I hate Armour all, it' ruined a couple of my cars, till I figured it out. Warm soapy water for that non 'ricey' look. So R33 dash's are ok then?
  2. In 1986 I had an auto 120Y , infacf, I had 2!! Awsome!!! (as long as you didn't have to stop)
  3. Hi Skliner's, wasup in the mofo.....hem,.... anyways!! Is anyone currently experiencing (or had) any signs that the centre of their dash is starting to (even very slightly) crack? Are the R33 Coupes prone to this? (only interested in this particular model variant). Just noticed (and it could well have been there since day dot) 2 small lines (appx 2-3mm across but not all all deep) well above the center vent. Could just be a production fault or tiny scratches. I saw this once on my Charger, and that seemed to be the beginning of the end of that dash!! I'm worried!! I don't use and will never use any chemical 5hit on my dash, just water and a clean cloth. Always protected from sunlight too!! So, have you guys heard or seen this happen? I thankyou in advance!!! Mark Superspit :whatsthat
  4. someone's reversed and turned into it.....very slowly, on a very accute angle. Looks like anyones car that has been parked out the front of my place! (drug dealers across the road who can't 'reverse turn' when they're high). Bummer mate!!
  5. Hey buddy, your beautiful line already has a highly effective BOV from the factory!! You'll do well to keep it! (unless your planning some other seriously insane power mods!!). Cops won't hassle you as much either, I guess!
  6. hey! Nice car. What part of England was that shot taken mate?
  7. yo, who's the 'cool' one bro's!!?? I don't do my shopping at the relevant brand shops to get the dockets to get the $2.00(????) off the expensomax!! Did u consider that, yo? I'm no lead foot, I get more value that way than the crappy few cents redeemed on a docket!! (but hey, each to their own way of doing their financials!!) Obviously also not considered? Also, where did I state that I "was too cool"? NB. notice the 'too' is correctly used in this sentence? And, what does happen on my '25th tank', yo? Not taking a stab bro's, but feck dat!! and have a great day!
  8. Dockets Bro? as they say in South Africa.......feck det!!!
  9. Give Expensomax a go, you'll 'also' be surprised!! Just ran another tank of Ultishit through the line after 6 weeks (thought I'd be surprised), well, nup!! Low economy and less pull in second and 3rd. Back to expensomax, after 2 fills, all is good again. (not surprised at this either). How could the graph be soooooo one sided, ...I mean this forum contains mostly keen and smart drivers, so I guess the general populus must know what they're on about!! Would've thought maybe a 60-40 for Ultra crap, not the current trend though!! Emeeeysink!!
  10. Only a bit of info here for you.... Cost.......Gary Rogers Nissan, nunawading (vic). $140 per Front set (2 off). Midas, $150 to install. (pretty cheap considering they're pricks of a things to remove!!) They're big, flat, heavy, non-conical, one bearing per car side things!!! This was for my R33 non GTR!
  11. yes indeed, bad suspension components can create spluttering issues. Seriously, you do mean 'coil packs' my friend. You'll find an answer here for sure!!
  12. Digital Cameras??, labels??,snap lock plastic bags?? Fantastic ideas!! Hell, you can't go wrong!!
  13. well done Pred, great thread guys, proffessionally handled and the steps gone thru may actually save some poor sod's money, or Aorta heart valve!! I won't forget this one! Up the liner's!!
  14. hi,....look, I have an R33 with the same issue, now resolved. In the boot of my car there is a fuse box, with seperate left and right headlight fuses. Guess what I did? Yep, left lamp fails because left fuse failed!! (in my case anyways) R32 maybe diff to 33 with respect to fuse box location, but look for this in any car. Some have seperate fuses for each headlamp, some just the one for both headlamps. PM me if/when u find the fault? Mark.
  15. are there any turbo 33's that don't have this same fuel smell? I think not!
  16. sorry if I sound a little uppety here Kor, but..... ..................if nothing else, regardless of a frickin' ECU upgrade or not or this or that or whatever......a dyno READ-OUT can give you the state of your car's power! (therefore health??)........................ by ......USING THE METHOD OF COMPARISON!! (between your car prior to 'fiddling' and post your 'fiddling' and to other cars (regardless of type!) of similar configuration. All this Just by looking at the graph they supply you. and......how else can you get the car to phenominal speeds and under full load and have a tech/mechanic with his head still under the bonnet? Dyno = a reporting tool! ...nothing else. Tuning is an entirely different entity. The process just sort of happens at the same time. It is the best way to diagnose and see if there are positive or negative responses to what the tech is trying to do for the car. So yes!! Massive happy happy joy joys can be achieved by tuning a car via the dyno 'method'........just the pricing stinks to the standard car driver. ahh.. that feels better.....have a great week K'!! ps...just got my 33 (dyno tested) by MK Auto in Moorabbin....173.4rkw, with my crummy airinx pod filter.......185 with the new K&N!!!!!! No tuning required!!!
  17. Sorry, My S1 Front bar has the lenses, but no globes or wiring!!
  18. Low Beam? Narva Arctic Blue, H1 12volts 55 watts, ADR approved, for that great white light effect. All for just $45.00 for 2!! Part Number = 48630BL. (avail. @ any Repco) They're only good for about 6 months though. (seriously!!) You get what you pay for!!
  19. Ok! All I know about price is that I was charged $600 for a spiggot bearing, clutch, oil,fly wheel clean etc and all labour. It's ok, considering I got it all done by 'Spyder Porche'!! Next thing will be synchro's on 2 and 3. (didn't have all the cash at the time!) But if you have friends who can do it at home (or their shop), I'd expect $300 for the clutch, maybe less?? OEM clutch would definately suit your needs though, I figure. Anyways, if anyone else can get a price for you here tonite, just to make sure?? Have a good nite Skyline buddy!
  20. Daily driver?, mild mods?....stick with the genuine OEM clutch (standard). They're tuff and comfortable and controllable. (yur leg will thankyou). Heavier mods? Track days?...go for an after market heavy duty type. I'll stick with the original Skyline unit......they're ace.
  21. That sounds good, you can't do any further damage anyway!! It'll just gradually get worse, like everything! I bet it's the original clutch though!! I went thru the same ordeal 6 months back!! Shudder, shudder, all cool for a while then "slip, slip!!". You'll see when u pull it out!! Remember though, slipping is more prevalent in higher gears!!
  22. Hi Tommo, spoke to a couple of people regarding this.. seems like your clutch could actually be broken (or component thereof, ie spring, face etc). It doesn't have to 'slip' to be considered worn. Do all other gears changes behave? Is it the original standard (age wise) clutch. Does she actually want to slip in say 4th or 5th when you rev the engine (while moving ofcourse) and drop the clutch? Chances are it's not you, your gearbox or the rest of your car. Just the component(s) in that very area. Prease Konsida!!
  23. Hi DR32gtr, Let's say you let your best mate take your car for a little blat, to say, the Northern Territory and back. Lets say that he loved your car and would like to take it out again, and you let him. You gladly give him the keys. He returns them back to you within a few minutes and says.." she won't turn over, I accidently left the lights on all day and now she's flat!!". Is this something you would really worry about, a flat battery? (there's your ECU reset, whether you like it or not!!) You run more of a risk 'jump starting' your car to electronic oblivion than taking your battery off line for a while to re-set the ECU....don't you think. In other words, it won't hurt anything!!! Just try it, you may see some incredible innitial results, then again, you may actually let your mate take it for a blat! All the best, ...let us know how you go!! Mark SuperSpit.
