  1. Hi harn, ta mate...I've PM'd you with some details. Money part of this should be discussed via a PM, don't you agree? :Bang: Thanks again, Mark
  2. When you do upgrade, I'd like to talk to you about a potential purchase!! Thanks! ps. I will still consider even if the cd is jumping, but not too bad/hard to repair...as long as it looks 'schweeeeet'!
  3. I understand this concept. I'll 'look' out for your future PM! Ta mate.
  4. hey! i would like this unit of yours! But I would like to simply pay you cash, and not fcuk around looking for this 'mp3 player' thingy to swap + cash.(???)?. PM me if u think we can hook-up a deal? So, if ur serious.......then I am, bro!! Thanx heaps, Mark.
  5. Hi P1E, I would only be spending that on a Stock Unit, only.(must be stock, for me!) Thankyou
  6. yeah....Rev Hunter,..you know the guy on telly who catches da fishies and kisses them then letsemgo! endat!
  7. Ta Waz, sort of wish I knew this prior. (all my fault...all my experience!!) Anyways, pulled the pipe out, like I should've in the first place, put it on my work bench, and re-soldered the connector (not the loom) with thin wire back onto the AFM. Now, at least, it's serviceable without having to pull out the pipe work. Just undo the 4 phillips screws, and spray in C.O cleaner, from now on.. You should have seen the shit that came out of the AFM pipe. It works fine now.......................... Man.........., 1st gear red-lines in next to no time now!! (you can feel it immediatly!!) That's it!!.....I'm getting a new foamy for my POD!! All's well that ends well. (and I thought I was smart saving $20.00) Mark
  8. make sure your dipstick is in properley, and inspect your oil filler cap seal!!! (just check them, it can't hurt!!) Mine (R33) stalls when I remove either one of the 2 when warmed up and idling.
  9. PLUGS!! at these pressures (8-13 psi), everything should still be able to cope well!! Mine is stock, accept for what I've posted on avatar. Mine went to over 12psi for 3 months with no issues. Now back to 10.5psi and safer. My point is those bloody spark plug gaps should never be taken for granted!!! Mine had to go down to .7mm before those embarrassing 'shudders and spits' left the building. Been going for 3 months at that .7 setting now, ...still ace. (Miss my boost control though!!) PLUGS!!!
  10. ahhhhh....too late, I fooked it!! I un-did the top 4 phillips head screws (where the 3 pin plug goes in)and bang...............broke the f'in SOLDER JOINTS.!!!! Didnt realise you had to take out the entir assembly!!! DAMN DAMN DAMN. Going to have to take it all out tmrw and 're-solder' the 3 pins back onto afm circuit.(did I say re-solder...I'll have to use 3 pieces of thin bloody wire!!) This could be an expensomax lesson!!
  11. yes, no residue is the idea. The C.O.Cleaner (circuit cleaner) is the stuff I've been using for many years on VCR heads to restore video clarity, without harsh rubbing.....infact, you're soaking in it!!! I figure that it should be good enough on the Skline's AFM(?)
  12. Hey Skliner's, Is there any reason(s) you know of why I couldn't clean my AFM myself. I know this..... They are delicate, They are expensive They can make the difference b/w a good line and a bad line!! That I'm relatively confident with my car's mechs/electronics and basic function (so far anyways!!) I get charged $20.00 specifically ontop of my service bills to have it cleaned by my mechanic (last time I went) I have.... my phillips head, and a can of C.O. Cleaner running through a "limiter" to reduce the aerosol's output. I found some dirt/dust on the wrong side of my pod filter, and I'm concerned it may have hit/contacted my AFM sensor(?). I will also be re-cleaning my pod filter media tonite. So....is this something a common Skliner can do? Thanx.
  13. STANDARD!! if anyone here wants to unload their old 'double din head unit, ie...single slot cd/radio /tape deck' ........(if it looks nice and works), please pm 'SUPERSPIT' I will pay a reasonable price!! Ta, Mark.
  14. Thanx CK, I wonder where Xenon appears on the periodic table? I simply was using that for explanation purposes, my friend. anyways....I bought Narva Halogen Arctic Blue ($37.00) H1 type.(Repco) They're nice and twice as bright (it seems), as std. I changed my parkers aswell, to the arctic blue wedge type (now, these really are a wank!!)...they still look orange!! anyways, Thankyou.

  16. Thanx CS180, the one with the cd slot in it! Ta, Mark
  17. Hi VR33, if it's good, like you say.....then um $......er....Let's Talk!? Do you know for sure if S1/S2 types are directly interchangeable? Thankyou very much, Mark.
  18. Is that compatible with the 33's wiring/din etc. Or is it a complete unit with wiring looms etc thanx FM. Mark
  19. yes, indeedy yes. The one with the CD slot in built into it (S2 type?) If you can help me? Thanx.
  20. PLEASE..don't throw out your old standard stereo head units after you've put something more fancy in you R33 Skline!!!!!!!!!!! Checkout the "WANTED" section of this site, and get some cash back....and make a fellow Skliner happy too!!! :headspin:
  21. mmmmm.....yep, same prob I had!!! that's all it could be with your current description!!! had my front bearings replaced 4 months ago. mmmmm...sweet. don't try replacing them yourself, unless your big and got the right tools. (the front bearings on a 33 are massive and 'square' profiled'..as opposed to 'cone'.) $120.00 for front bearings, appx $120 for labour. (Gary Rogers) rears should be similar. (search my previous thread on this, more correct info) also....Check ur tyres, properley, too...check for 'feathering', pressure etc... The noise difference was incredible once above 60kmh. (nothing now!!) Do a search on my 'previous threads' on 'wheel bearings'....I'm sure that I left a lot more info on this subject, back then. (including prices!!)Just that I'm at work...and stuff!!!
  22. G'Day Skliner's, couple of Q's for yoos. The other day, whilst vacumming my carpets, I noticed a black 'vent' looking thing (pls excuse my description) under both front seats of the car. Are these foot warmers for the rear passengers, or what? Also Skliner's.....your opinion on the Xenon 'looking' bulbs that you can buy really cheap nowadys . ps.I think H1 is the correct bulb for low-beam on R33's. Hey....thanx in advance Skliner's!
  23. mmmm.......let's say 20 litres = about $20.00 (expensomax fuel). I get 120km per $20.00 (city driving)on expensomax fuel!!!!! (and I'm 'happy' with that... (i don't drive unsafely, but I don't exactly drive like a poofter)..........it is an R33 with a wizza!!!) You're doing ok...maybe just lighten the right one a little?? Mark. PS. SRB 33.......sometimes it's smarter to take 'reports' (like other's fuel consumption), with a grain of salt (?)
  24. ah Radium....your figures sound 'safe'. I'd be prepared to use your 'formula' on this one!! Thankyou. As far as 'bits'n'pieces' of R32 and other 'halfamongrels' mentioned in previous threads.....I wonder if these are "registered vehicles.
